Hello everybody.This is my very first win in a tournament game.I must say,I was surprised by my own quality of play.My opponent also played a good game,but made a huge mistake down the road.

1. e4	The move I get the most as black.



1... e5	My standard reply.



2. Nf3 Nc6 3. d4	Scotch game,Me and my friend ruebenfine(his GK handle) played a game that reached the opening we're about to see.Even though I lost the game.I got the feeling as this position as Black.



3... exd4 4. Bc4	Scotch Gambit.



4... Nf6 5. O-O Nxe4 6. Re1 d5	Still main line.



7. Bb3	?!White deviates from the main line,which is 7.Bxd5.

7... Be6	Protecting the pawn from 8.Bxd5.



8. Nxd4 Nxd4 9. Qxd4 Bc5 10. Qxg7	??This loses!This is A crucial juncture for Black.



10... Qh4	! The GK database goes for 10...Bxf2+ but I think this move better.Black offers the sacrifice of both his rooks.The point is after 11.Qxh8+? Kd7 12.Qxa8?? 12...Qxf2+ 13.Kh1 Qg1+! 14.Rxg1 Nf2#!Amazing!Black,down a queen and both of his rooks,mates with just his knight.Too bad this never happened...

11. g3	Blocking the threat,but weakening the light squares on the kingside...



11... Bxf2+ 12. Kg2 Qh3+	Forced.



13. Kh1 Bxe1	Threatening Qf1#

You had a pretty ending because White blundered, but you can't count on White helping you out. ruachessnut2 (1200) on 12-Sep-09: Nor can you count on White moving his queen twice in the 1st 10 moves instead of developing his knight & bishop. rookie879 (1200) on 12-Sep-09: It does seem that I did miss easy threats and mates.But what's done is done I guess. aarouge (1885) on 08-Aug-15: 13. Kh1 and Black mates in 4 (with best game from White), Black begins 13. ... Nxg3. Against weaker play from White, Black mates in 3 (two different mates).


14. Qxh8+ Kd7 15. Qd4	White thinks he has covered the threat,but...
