I don't think this is slow, but it is flexible. It allows White to transpose into tons of different openings, and directly controls the center.

Now I can agree with you a little bit. It is too passive for my taste at least. However, it does serve a purpose. It will be an annoying road block for Black's Bishop development.

Again, a bit passive for my taste, but it still does something. It keeps Black's pieces off of g4 which, later, could be the difference between a safe castle and a dead king.

In my opinion you are wasting time on pointless moves as white. Once all your minor pieces are developed, go for it! But if black was paying attention, a 3pawn centre could be created, which is hard to break. It's a lot like my annotation labelled attacking possibilities.

He shouldn't be asleep. He should be noticing that White just opened up a very vulnerable vent into his kingside! Notice that if Black can find a way to play Qh4+ it will lead to mate! This mindset stopped you from getting an immediate advantage!

4. f3? Very dangerous, indeed. The Black Queen could check (Qh4) and White's g-Pan can do nothing to stop it. Mate in two, just the King's Knight out of Black's way.

Well, White's position is looking more and more solid, even with all of his pawn moves. You really shouldn't be so confident; you don't have any threats.

It shouldn't be fine with you because your development is not very good (the Queen blocks the Bishop, and your pieces aren't able to penetrate due to the pawns on a3 and h3). Also, in closed positions tempo matters much less, so you should have kept the position open and created a big attack to develop your pieces quickly an aggressively. Instead, you've let White play into a calmer game where he'll survive even though he's moving slowly.

That was part of White's idea. When he started pushing his pawns bit by bit, he was claiming the center for his game a little bit later, and you'll notice that they still cause you problems later. However, White should have been a little bit more careful about that check on g3. I think that Nf4 here would have been better.

I think it was a wise decision to wait until you had all of your defenses ready before really going after White's King. However, your pieces are uncoordinated for an attack, so you should be really careful with that Queen so deep in enemy territory.

It's a lone piece. Before attacking, make sure that your attack is supported.

White should win your Knight here with d5. So your objective should have been to stop that.

Again, White should win the Knight with d5, and you're ignoring it.

It looked bad a while ago (namely when White could win that Knight), and you should have been expecting a fierce counterattack as they normally follow one or two piece excursions into enemy territory.

To be fair, your Bishop on g5 is en prise for the Rook on g2. So that shouldn't have been a free Knight.

And why is that? It's not true! You should have played Qh5, where you will only lose the exchange and not a full piece!
