1. e4	You started well!



1... e5 2. d3 d6 3. f3 Nf6 4. c4 g6	So far so good!!!!!
	1 comment toiletduck1 (1200) on 16-Jul-08: I'm not so sure. To me this looks like too many pawn moves, not enough piece moves!


5. Qa4+ c6	This is an OK defense, but Heather, you need to try to get your major pieces out in front of your pawns where possible, and mainly so you do not break down your pawn formation (we have not talked about this yet). I think a better defense would have been knight to c6.



6. Nc3 Be6	Not my favorite move because bishops like space, and are usually best suited to later in the game, early on, its the knights that you should maneuver.

If you look at my annotated game with my mentor, Ionadowman called "An Expert Lesson in Development" you will see that I paid a terrible price for putting my knight on d7 while my lsb was on d8!


7. b4 Bh6	Once square too far...I like the bishop to protect the corner in g7 fianchetto you bishops to both g7 and b 7

8. Bxh6	here is why

9. Bg7	this



9... Qh4+	now this is just plane desperate...Remember, you counter an attack on the wing by attacking in the middle...



10. g3	thats why



10... Qg5	run away...so make a nice home for your king, attack cautiously !!!
