Here is a useful trap worth remembering 6.Nc3 ( I don't like because it blocks the c2 pawn and also the pawn can not go to c3 and the Bishop can't retreat to c2) b5 7. Bb3 0-0 8. d4?? a really bad move it loses a piece, 8.exd4 Nxd4? Qxd4 c5! Qc3 c4! it wins the Bishop on b3.

	2 comments charleshiggie (2197) on 31-Aug-07: Yes, it looks like a Marshall attack, with d5 being played too early.... whizzkid111 (1200) on 01-Sep-07: This is Marshall gambit 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bb5 a6 4.Ba4 Nf6 5. 0-0 Be7 6.Re1 b5 7.Bb3 0-0 ( see Black is meant to 0-0) 8.c3 d5! now 9. exd5 Nxd5 10. Nxe5 Nxe5 11. Rxe5 c6! but Marshall's original idea was 11.Nf6 followed by Ng4 and Bd6 threatening the pawn on h2 another idea was Bd6 and Qh4. Most common is 12. d4 Bd6 13. Re1 Qh4 14. g3 Qh3 and 15.Be3 with many many games being played. If you want to enchant your knowledge on this interesting gambit I suggest that you go to your local library and try to find a book on it!


7. Nxe5 Bd7 8. Nxd7 Qxd7 9. exd5 Nxd5 10. d3 b5 11. Bb3 O-O 12. a4 Bh4 13. axb5 axb5 14. Rxa8 Rxa8 15. Qf3	On the attack.



15... Ncb4	Ncb4? the strongest move would be Re8. Rook somewhere and then Re5 defending the Knight.
