The otherwise not-so-desirable exchange of a powerful knight for a fairly immobile bishop is justified here by the triple fork (trident) after the Q captures on d6: 17.Nxe7ch Nxe7 18.Qxd6, attacking N, B and P.... 2* Black has a fine game by move 24. That mobile central pawn mass confers a considerable advantage. Instead of 25...Qf6, 25...Rfb8 offers a strong attack down the b-file 3*** After 30 moves, Black's extra pawn and active position give him good chances, but White is still in the game.
