1. d4	my standard move



1... Nf6 2. Nf3	i new he would play the budapest gambit (d4 nf6 c4 e5) so i stopped him!

2... d5 3. c4 c6	now it is the slav

4. Nc3 e6 5. e3	normally, i would play bg5
	3 comments crabtreechess (1200) on 04-May-12: why didn't you play Bg5 then. blitzkov (1200) on 04-May-12: i use to worry if i lost a pawn in the queens gambit excile (1200) on 05-May-12: no problem. Here both Bg5 and e3 are main lines i believe. so either way white is okay.


5... Bb4 6. Bd2	i dont want doubled pawns

Bxc3 without you playing Bd2 so i doubt black would do it. and even if black did then white would gain the advantage. The reasons why it is poor for black is because a) he looses a tempo. b) white gains the bishop pair without black surredering it,black basically throws away the bishop pair. blitzkov (1200) on 04-May-12: i like my knights!


6... Qe7 7. a3 Bd6	? a loss of tempo



8. Be2 dxc4 9. Bxc4 Nbd7 10. O-O h5	?! looks like hes going to attack my king

11. e4	planning to go es!
	3 comments excile (1200) on 04-May-12: oh but of course e5. mooving the same pawn twice is unpreferred tho. crabtreechess (1200) on 04-May-12: you violated the rule of moving the same piece twice. l-d-j (1747) on 05-May-12: @crabtreechess: this is quite common in the queen's pawn openings, so I don't think this is bad. Also the threat of e5 has to be met.

	2 comments jack46 (1745) on 04-May-12: Or 18...hxg3, 19. Bxg3, Ng4. This seems to slow white down. It also threatens ...Nxh2 with a mating attack. How does white answer 19...Ng4? crabtreechess (1200) on 04-May-12: A better move would be to take the pawn to blow up your king side

20. Qe7+ Kg6	if, kg8?? then qxg7 mate
