You are the very first person to have a rated annotation on the French(C17) Winawer, advance, Rauzer variation. A chess website, chessebook.com, told me this for the the opening: 0-1=20% 1/2=47.1% 1-0=32.9%. This shows white's advantage.

If only white had done 7.Nf3, then you will have the complete opening.

8...g6?! is played a lot, but perhaps 8...Qe7!? is a better try.

As hityerclock said, 8...Qe7 is better. Also 8...Ne7 is better.

You are probably catching Bb5 or b5 on move 12 for white, but I think 11...Bd7 is fine along with 11...a6 and 11...O-O.

In interesting try here is 11...Nd7, the idea being to cover f6 when the N of f5 is eventually kicked.

Castling now would be VERY dangerous for black as he exchanged his dark square bishop and white can have a very strong and fast attack. Again hityerclock is right, Nd7 was also better.

Black should have not moved the knight. Instead, he should have castled. 13... O-O! 14.gxf5 exf5 (not 14...gxf5 15.O-O-O) and this will be even or to black's advantage.

If black did so, he is down a piece and then i can play h4,h5 Ke2 and Rag1 wins.

Black has already crowded his pieces. Using his king was the only hope and it's too late for Black to free his cramp.

What else could black do? White has a huge advantage. Black's position is cramped.

Not the best "good move" because Black can just ignore the pawn.

Why not play on the K-side dark squares? Bc1 (intending Bh6), Ng5, and Ba3 all look to be more to the point. For example, 15.Ng5 Qe8 16.Ba3, and black's position is collapsing.

If black ignore the pawn e.g. 15...Bd7 white play 16.Rxa7 followed by Ba3,Ng5,h4..... hityerclock, white isn't in a hurry, black's position is collapsing any way but i think 15.Ba3 is better than 15.Bc1 h6?! 16.Ba3. Right?

Can I suggest 16.Bd4 to you?

What does 16.Bd4 aim to? It only allows black to improve his position.

18...h5 19.Bxg6 and the knight can't capture as it is pinned by the bishop on a3.

You were smart enough to understand that if you forced black to cramp like this, it is to your advantage.
