! this wrecks black's pawn structure and is tactically justified. If 19...Bxg3 or 19...h4 then 20. cxd7+ wins. If ...Qxc6 then the queen is off the dangerous diagonal.

I actually thought this to be less accurate than 19...Qxc6, because:

! this forces off the queens, wins the bishop pair, and leaves black with 3 isolated pawns after 20... cxb5 21. Qxc7 Bxc7 22. Bxc7 a6. Although I would be better, The game would still be playable for black. For some reason, Black resigned at this point. I read "Excelling at Technical Chess" so it was disappointing to not be able to try to squeeze out the win. However I'm happy with the result 1-0
