! this forces off the queens, wins the bishop pair, and leaves black with 3 isolated pawns after 20... cxb5 21. Qxc7 Bxc7 22. Bxc7 a6. Although I would be better, The game would still be playable for black. For some reason, Black resigned at this point. I read "Excelling at Technical Chess" so it was disappointing to not be able to try to squeeze out the win. However I'm happy with the result 1-0 |
