I don't trust the computer on positional nuances like choosing the right rook. Rad8 is probably better, the f8 rook will find a good home on e8 or just staying there on f8. In contrast, after Rfd8 the a8 rook will struggle to find a loving home, I'm not sure c8 really constitutes an accomplishment so doubling the rooks would be the only choice. That's probably the reason why it prefers Rfd8: is that it assumes that a rook lift will happen at some point (in the thousands of lines that it sees) and that the other rook will subsequently come to d8 anyways. Masters would say Rad8 for sure.

To get at his king on e2.

Now black is certainly better (-/+), I'd even venture to call it winning (-+). White's got a lot of loose pieces and potential weaknesses (if not current weaknesses) and has some severely misplaced pieces let alone isn't even finished developing yet. Black, on the other hand, is fully developed but furthermore has optimally placed pieces, and is opening up the position with the perfect pawn break. This is where, as white, I'd start to consider when to resign because I'd know I was significantly worse and soon to be losing.

f5 is definitely positionally better. White cannot afford to let the position open up period.

I'm pretty sure that's a queen for a rook and bishop, correct me if I'm wrong: 26. Rxd8 Bxf4 27. Rxf8+ Kxf8 28. gxf4 nets the e3 bishop and two black rooks for the d1 rook and the white queen. If that's the case, then it's even more winning for black. Surely Qg4 is a mistake though, allowing Rfe8 is disastrous.
