Black could 'get away' with the immediate ...d2 simply because the Queen has only the c-pawn by way of support. I think I would have played something like ...Rg7 or ...Rg6 to be on the safe side, and still had an overwhelming advantage.

White's violent reaction to the Q for 3 minor pieces tactic probably went more to compromise his game than need have been the case. Bally nice concept, though.

38...Rg1 would be the quicker way to win

beautiful, u said u read it once in a magazine, most can see the few moves ahead and easily see three minor pieces for 1 Q, but to think how quickly it changed and how dominating blacks minor pieces were is prolly what is meant by Cyrano claiming he read it earlier, the off beat path with unusual exchanges, even some other times too with wide open areas( pawn structures burnt down)makes for fascinating game play. this was a treat to see unfold. so now when i see a compelling exchange if one presents itself, i may try being novice and playing non contemporary. and if i win that future predicament and am asked, "what made u go that route?",il tell em, i seen it before, and now that you have too, u may reconsider putting yourself in that spot down the line.. ina nutshell, information,practice, due diligence make grand masters> if you read this challenge me so i can sense what getting spanked on game play truly feels like, i feel i could hold my own, and i do on blitz sometimes, but long games, no one wants to play such an lower leveled opponent such as I,gg, and thanks for annotating .......
