WTW-Physical Fitness
So, despite everything that happened and not showing off, I still have to talk the talk a lot. That is much more so then a WTW game. It's with various posts and commenting on annotations from stronger players, as noted in my profile. The comments on their annotations is a mental workout that helps me sleep at night. This is why during the voting with the singing competition shows, with blue ray lights, I'm also doing things like Wizard Chess and annotating games. I thought that this was better then physical exercise, but the more I think of it, the latter is better for me. As it brings it to my posting. The reason that I have to keep doing this is because new thoughts that just come into my head which is even starting to annoy me. And, if I keep them and don't jot them out, they'll overwhelm me and make it difficult for me to sleep at night which I need for work. And, nowadays, just the mental workout and even a WTW chess game or 2 doesn't prevent new thoughts from coming which leads to the needed talking the talk, as Fred put it. For me, the solution is a physical workout which will happen when the gym can reopen. And, it isn't just doing push ups or lifting weights at home. Instead, it's doing the block buster, 1.5-2 hour workout, or an intense class like Spin or HIIT. The physical workout doesn't just wear me out, but I learned that when a new thought comes in, it will evaporate so that I forget what I was going. That way, there would be no need to jot it out. Plus, it has a similar feel to a WTW game. But, it will likely be weeks and possibly over a month before the gym reopens with the Covid-19 pandemic. When this happens, I will really exercise with the idea of wearing myself out. And, that will be the real deal WTW for me.

Yesterday, with what I was just starting in Charles annotations, it might have seemed angry because of Charles not annotating since others asked. I was upset, but that wasn't the reason at all, but it just started coming out that way when I started doing the annotation. So, I'll edit, as the reason that I was upset was due to how many weeks each phases are before things open of 2 weeks. It wasn't just me, but it angered others, and it was somewhere in the newspaper of people feeling trapped. Despite being able to work in essential business, and going outside for a little, what angers me is not being able to go to the gym. There are things that besides that get to others and that's because of how long it's been going on. But, then, it became just another obstacles, as with anything else. And, that was, knowing that it would reopen, sooner or later. In this case, probably sooner since Phase 1 has opened, so I figure, about a month from now before it'll all work out again.

I figured that it would happen on Phase 3. But, I just learned that the gym won't reopen until phase 4. On the other hand, I have switched gears and am going for chess improvement for the mental workout, as noted in the WTW Games Discussions. I, probably went slightly overboard, yesterday. Time will tell.

And, I read Susan's post about staying physically fit. Even outside, this is very important for getting a good nights sleep. Similarly, I would even go on a trail, for example. But, what I'm thinking about with a steep hill is about, 45 minutes from where I am. What I did yesterday was, in addition to, posting, I went outside for about 5-20 minutes in the sun. The idea wasn't just fresh air, but the warm side of things also tired me out and helped me get the needed sleep for work today which felt great. But, there's bad news, as I thought that about a month or 2 after the final phase opens, which includes the gym, there'd be those tough classes that I mentioned. In comparison, Spin, for example, is a lot like the hike but harder. When you don't do a hard hill, you have to sprint, and sometimes, the athlete does both. Kind of similar to the nutrition coach for Carlsen, I'm often need a small snack before working. So, for me, that's a mild cheddar cheese stick. And, HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) is even harder and also needs the snack. It's for 30 minutes, but what you do is in a mountain climbing position, along with other hard positions, somewhat similar to chess but on a physical level. It's like that, but you go down on the hands, and go real jog the feat in one spot real fast for a certain time. Thus, it's also extremely dehydrating. I, however, just learned that there won't be any classes for 6 months after it opens, so that's after New Years Day. As there's no way to enforce Social Distancing. But, when the gym reopens, I'll be going like crazy. When this happens, I'll still play 4 games but with longer time controls so 7 days per move. I might cut down when the voice returns, but once classes are back, I'll, officially, be cutting my games down to only 2. As I'll be more then happy once they'be back. What I need is, in fact, a good workout to get back in shape.

There's a little more to this because if the pool opens, and the lap lane is opened, I'll be doing, at least, 4-8 fast laps. Added up 4 regular laps is a mile, and 2 pool laps is the equivalent to a lap around the track. So, doing this much will be a good 0.5-1 mile.

I read another post about physical fitness where Susan walked several miles, today. I wish I had something closer. Unfortunately, it's unlikely the gym is even going to reopen during phase 4 which is what I assumed would just happen. But, there's something about the AC vents which need to be tested, first. And, the local pool will not be opening either, and they're the only one that I know which isn't doing it. I really hope that the air vent testing will be ok during phase 4, but I have my doubts. On the other hand, there's nothing much else to post, except that I'll probably post another OTB game or two tomorrow.
