Good Question
I'm not sure, but I would not think so. There busy handling all kinds of complaints and other issues. So, I don't imagine that it's possible, but with what little I know about the game, it's also possible. The question is if they do, how many staff play on this site?

I would think that if they play chess online, they would play on GameKnot, but I certainly don't know. If they do, perhaps they can keep an eye on things.

Would you admit it?
If you were an employee of GameKnot and actively played on the site would you admit it? Your account would instantly be bombarded with questions, comments, complaints, suggestions, more complaints, more questions, pleas for help, more complaints, more suggestions, and finally, more complaints.
There may be employees of GameKnot playing here, but I doubt they are going let that fact be known.

Yes, of course. The GameKnot employees would not admit it, but GameKnot themselves might know and permit it.

I'm 100% sure there was ... pre 2010 ... he was on the forums explaining conditional moves etc , but the account is now closed ... I guess in those days everyone was more polite !
We had some great characters in those days ... top players who would help ... sadly missed
( conspiracy theory... there is one Captain still active who still helps.... but rarely plays these days ... I guess it's how you ask the question ... or in my dumb case how easy it was to answer lol )
