lord_shiva 03-Jun-20, 12:38	Teams Another (minor) suggestion for Tapanis: Eliminate teams that have only one active member or less than two green dot players from the list. Example: gameknot.com I do really like his program. I still used the advanced player search for player teams--and REALLY wish it had a function to eliminate players not currently on teams. The team score helps, but I'm still running a good 50% of players with a team score who are not on any team. I wish GK would act on this, or at least respond as to why a couple more selections are just too difficult for them to add.
lord_shiva 03-Jun-20, 12:56	Team Names Stripping the Unicode emoji sequences from the names in the table would really help keying in the team names. I was going to say you would need two columns, but it occurs to me you already have a table of team numbers corresponding to the names, so the names displayed should just be able to have the unicode stripped.
tapanis 03-Jun-20, 13:32	Temporary Aid My program was ment only temporary aid until GK will improve its team match search functions. I can't make it much better as it is now. I have also some problem with my web host, they are not answering to my questions. So it is bit unclear how long I can keep it alive. But if it collapses, I have a plan to find another web host then. I'm saying that I'm not making improvements to my program. I'm happy it still runs and I hope GK will improve. It would be better that way.

shirlmygirl 03-Jun-20, 14:40	I am afraid I agree. Mike(mate) has been trying to get a program from GameKnot for pairing players for a very long time. Tapanis' program is the best we have had so far. He is a clever man to come up with it.
mikemate 03-Jun-20, 14:53	I started using his program today. It is very helpful and I found three matches fairly quickly. The advantage over the advanced player search is those blasted players not presently on a team. The disadvantage is the lack of 90 day high ratings, which is not a real problem. Very good work, Tapanis.

joveyboy1 04-Jun-20, 16:42	I saw IHS Team Italia near the top recently. I've started plenty of good matches with them through the years. If they stay active, about 2 more years and they'll be the first team to be 20 years old on Gameknot, wow.

joveyboy1 04-Jun-20, 18:20	Well that would be why I saw them near the top recently, whoops I'm blind   They only have 67 active matches though, so they must have just gotten a string of wins against top teams. It certainly worked out nicely.
mikemate 05-Jun-20, 05:49	IHS Team Italia is on an amazing run. They are 10-0-3 in their last 13 matches and the last 10 were against teams in the top 10 on the ladder when the matches ended.
