neurokarma 16-Sep-20, 11:00	Team challenge message When I receive a team challenge suggesting which players the opposing captain would prefer I would like to see the possibility of direct messaging. For example being able to explain why I chose a certain player and not the one suggested. At the moment I have to open a new page, look for the captain or co captain with green dot and send a private message. Any suggestions?
mikemate 18-Sep-20, 07:21	That would be an update that Gameknot should do as it would make communication between Captains/co-Captains easy and productive. Gameknot could improve team play on this site with some relatively easy updates. ADVANCED PLAYER SEARCH!!!
shirlmygirl 18-Sep-20, 11:57	I got tired of using the Advanced Player Search. When I found a player that I was interested in, that player either wasn't on a team or had no available games. I haven't used the Advanced Player Search for a long time. I found it frustrating.
joveyboy1 18-Sep-20, 12:10	I always put '100' in the minimum team rating part of the Advanced Player Search. It doesn't exclude those no longer on a team, but at least it does narrow things down, and doesn't exclude anyone with a low team rating...so I hope. I don't think there's anyone out there with a team rating under 100   If I change a player from what was suggested to me, I always send a message stating why, though I more often just end up declining the match and stating why when declining in the box, and then send a new match if I can of course.

mikemate 19-Sep-20, 08:43	Using the Advance player search yesterday I found six new matches for biblio5. Most of the 30 new matches the past two days were aided by the advanced player search. With a Gameknot upgrade/modification this could be an even more useful tool.

mikemate 29-Sep-20, 12:27	Neil, when doing pairings with intent to really gear up, I have minimum five open tabs, sometimes six when using advanced player search. Sometimes seven when looking at Captains online, oh and sometimes eight but it is secret, lol.

lord_shiva 11-Oct-20, 00:25	1 I always put 1 in for minimum team rating. I have been asking for a current team member winnow and green dot winnow for ages. You kep your rating when you abandon a team, but at least it does cut down false hits quite a bit. Kind of vexing these two simple options are not available.
joveyboy1 13-Oct-20, 17:08	Honestly I expected there to be a lower team rating than 505. I know there have been some who have put their main rating down all the way to 0 I think. I don't know why or how... Yeah the Advanced Player Search has always been good for me when I need to find matches for a specific player. And yeah, I always have at least 4 tabs open for Gameknot. 8 might be the most I've ever had? I can't remember, it's usually just the 4.
lord_shiva 13-Oct-20, 18:02	Tabs I pop open 20 tabs when searching for player matches. I'll usually have one for my games and one for the team ranking as well, and possibly some on groups. The I close all the player tabs where there is no team match. Seems like a colossal waste of time--and it is. If I knew they were all team hits I'd only open ten tabs--maybe five.
