Pending challenges .......
I have been sitting for 24 hours trying to get matches approved. No matter how high on the
ladder, the response is very very slow. So slow that ratings will change causing more declines
than normal. It is depressing.

Yesterday I had 5 pending challenges nearly all day with two and one time three challenges
waiting for an open slot in the pending challenges. I wish there could be 10 instead of 5 slots.

I was one of those, sorry about that Mike, I wasn't feeling well and didn't check matches until late in the day. I get this too though, I wish there could be more slots. At least you can still accept as many open challenges that you can find. I'll set extra up through open challenges if I can when there's another team willing to do it. My record is 11 pending challenges at once. I wouldn't mind breaking that record lol

I had an experience recently that I was not happy about at all. I sent a challenge, and I knew I wouldn't be online the next day. So the challenge sat there and I checked back regularly to see if the captain had come online. He came online several times that day, but didn't respond to the challenge. He could have declined if he didn't like it. Finally, I went offline and didn't come online again until the following evening. He had finally accepted the challenge. He might have changed the players but that would probably have been OK, but before I came online, one or more of his players had been paired away and the challenge was null and void. I did not like seeing the captain come online several times that day and not respond to the challenge. I almost decided I didn't want to play that team any more.

Ha ha. That sounds so typical of you, Neil.

Quote: I informed the team about a new innovation we have if you don't like the paired mach called "decline".

You know I love you, but with the right kind of love called "agape".

ยป Team Team THE BARMY ARMY has decided to withdraw from the team match, with the following note: If you don't like a challenge there's a button marked decline .... pretty innovative

Neil, before orkneylad came on board I was simply exhausted with challenges; both spending time creating them, and making the call on marginal offers. I was making continuous bad calls, and we were struggling to even break the top 50. My other co-captain is great with working with team members, taking over management when needed, but like me is averse to the art of pairing. So, when I see a challenge and I'm not sure whether to accept or not, I will leave it until Mike has a chance to take a look. None of us would deliberately disregard someone's challenge. I believe historically we are pretty timely in our responses. If it was a problem you noticed with our team, Neil, and had bothered to message me, I would have explained that. It's called communication. I think that's pretty innovative too.

You do get yourself into trouble, don't you, Neil? And this is not funny.

@ Neil
Mike orkneylad was on our team and he is very good at match-making. I understand how
rooklahoma feels about this and he explained clearly why he may leave a challenge sit.

You know, rooklahoma could just hide his online status to resolve this.

Mike, excellent solution. I hadn't thought of that, and will do.
