mervynrothwell 08-Nov-20, 04:58	A VERY welcome message from Jim (tennesseehiker) Hi everyone, We have been concerned for some time that Jim (Tennesseehiker) has been inactive on Gameknot. This has happened before when he has been unwell, but he was off-line this time for much longer than usual. This suggested a bigger problem than before and we have particularly concerned. It was so good out of the blue to get this message from him. This he has asked me to pass on to the team and to his clubs. The message is very short and to the point, probably because he is not feeling too good. “I almost died twice. I scheduled to leave the assisted living facility where I am now staying in 8 days, after 10 weeks. Thank you for your patience and understanding.” Jim The message is brief but it is clear that his health recently deteriorated to the point where he needed a much increased level of support and treatment for a time. His wife has for many years been a rock for him, but supporting him must have been very demanding on her. Remember both Jim and his wife in prayer. As the message was so brief I replied looking for a little more information, but 36 hours later Jim has still not replied. This could be down to his state of health. Perhaps some of you could send him a word of encouragement and possibly (as I have done) challenge him to a game (I suggest 7-day/unrated) Mervynrothwell

timjensen 08-Jan-21, 04:20	Jim Tennesseehiker passed away yesterday morning (January 7th, 2021). He went into cardiac arrest and they were unable to revive him.
