Please be good enough to tell me who this is directed at.

Quote: "leper!, stand back!"

Explanations
It was directed at me Shirley. My post about terminal velocity got the desired response. He said let's keep it to science so I obliged him. And in typical fashion he lashes out. You see it is ok for him to debase and mock others. But if anyone says a word about his real saviour he looses his mind. Was the only reason I posted that. For I want everyone to see clearly what IHS is.

And just as you can not abide cheaters hear on GK. I can not abide wolves in sheep's clothing that seek to lead people astray like the Judas goat he is. For he does not have the ways of God in mind but the ways of the world and thusly makes a very bad example of the faith. And the thought of someone reading his words and thinking that is what a real Christian is like . To me... is beyond the pale.

Shirley thank you for the kind words but none are good save for God alone.

And to the leper stand back quote... IHS you literally err with every breath you take. That is what Satan says.

On the other hand reality is much differn t. As it is written..

A man with leprosy came to him and begged him on his knees, "If you are willing, you can make me clean." 41Jesus was indignant. He reached out his hand and touched the man. "I am willing," he said. "Be clean!" 42Immediately the leprosy left him and he was cleansed

Not at all IHS. At least I am not. The light yes the door no. If I wanted to do that. I could forsake my moderator status and remove you. And then in turn I would be removed because JJ is a very fair and just person.

I don't even report your posts. So why would I want to show you the door?

IHS
You're familiar with the story of the boy who cried wolf? You have filed so many false reports I now examine each very carefully before taking any action.

Besides, this is King_of_Nothing's forum, he pays for the privilege of running this club. And his policy is to review the notices himself--he requests that if any posts are to be deleted he does it. I will step in when one user doxes another, or the post is clearly a violation of the pretty basic rules. Stepping in where you two have been at each other for weeks on end--why would you expect me to take your side against Apatzer, or vice versa? He doesn't file false reports against you. I kind of appreciate the fact he fights his own battles.

I'm here to provide words profitable for instruction, to admonish with kindness, to reproof in conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, and for training in righteousness. 2 Timothy 3:16.

See also Proverbs 27:6

And in summary, I'm also appalled you chose to attack Shirlmygirl. Wow! Here is an incredibly useful bit of information. When it seems like the whole world is turning against you, check to see what YOU are doing wrong to get on their bad side.

Bill Gothard used to do a seminar called "Basic Youth Conflicts," back before he got in carried away with his secretary. In those days when a devout Christian leader committed adultery, they took away his ministry. Now, of course, the elect him president of the US and praise every move he makes to oppress the poor and downtrodden and uplift the rich and powerful.

It would be a good idea if we stopped talking about President Trump and politics. We personally cannot do anything about the situation by posting here. It just inflames some of the readers. The people have voted Trump in. We should watch and wait to see how things develop. Having read the account of the first and second Presidencies of George Washington, he was under tremendous attack by his opponents. He wearied of it, and wanted so much just to retire to Mount Vernon and have some peace. And George Washington was a Godly man. It would be nice for us to have some peace and quiet on this Club, and some meaningful threads.

Robert, you are judging inhis_service very severely. You cannot really know that he is who you say he is. You need to let God be the Judge here.

In Praise of Groper's Good Deeds
When Groper does good, I will shout it from the rooftops. He offered to consider a clean DACA bill, which I completely support. Yes! Finally a ray of hope in an otherwise dismal swamp.

Then he backpedaled, caving to the swamp creatures who thought they could get Democrats to give up something dear and precious to middle class Americans in exchange for treating foreigners brought here as children who have worked their whole lives, obeying US laws and paying taxes and social security with a little dignity and respect instead of busting up their nasty cucaracha families and sending them packing back to a land they have never known.

He has done plenty of horrible, horrible things, pushing around leaders of other countries, insulting our allies, toadying up to Putin and bowing to the Russian leader's every whim. Putin says don't invoke the sanctions--Groper drops sanctions as though on Putin's payroll.

This, and his obstruction of justice, are particularly worrisome and should be thoroughly investigated and prosecuted and the guilty parties severely punished for their crimes.

My conservative friends insist that if justice won't prosecute Hillary for using a private email address, then why should Groper be prosecuted for colluding with our enemies and obstructing justice? It is like, if Bernie Sanders won't be prosecuted for Jay Walking, they why should Donald Trump be charged with treason?

What else did Groper do that was good? There was one thing, but I forgot what it was. All the rest has been wickedness, perversion, and childish inanities. Calling the athletes protesting civil rights abuses "sons of bitches" who should be fired for exercising their free speech, and insisting they are disrespecting our flag and our troops, instead of lamenting the deaths of brothers felled by good people sorely influenced by racial prejudice.

Groper's bigotry against religious minorities is also vexing. He caters to a sickness permeating our society. A leprosy rotting away the body politic. Deeply saddening and distressing, Groper's erosion of basic human decency and kindness, his appeal to racial hatred and misogyny.

Jimmy Carter was not a great president, but he at least was a warm, genuine, caring human being. At his age he is still involved in charity work, building habitat for humanity and curing African river blindness. Up until he switched to politics for boosting his personal fortune, Comrade Groper spent his entire life working to amass his fortune.

I don't have any issue with that--people are entitled to work for themselves. But don't pretend he suddenly was struck by the light of Jesus on the Road to Damascus, "Saul, Saul, why dost thou persecute me?" and change his leopard spots to suddenly be interested in the common man. Just look as his $1.5 trillion tax cut to inflate the wealth of the rich while socking it to the poor.

The following tweet by Paul Ryan was hilarious:

A secretary at a public high school in Lancaster, PA, said she was pleasantly surprised her pay went up $1.50 a week...she said [that] will more than cover her Costco membership for the year. Paul Ryan @PRyan 2/3/18 11:51 AM (quickly deleted)

"Every dollar in the pockets of middle-class families is valuable. But it's unacceptable that congressional leaders expect average workers to be thrilled with an additional $6 per month, while America's richest people and businesses rake in billions."

Oh, six dollars a month! Why, I'll be able to afford a new car in about 430 years. (Average new car transaction price in 2015 was $33,560. $33,560/$78 a year = 430 years, maybe only 400 years if we add back passbook savings rates of 1.5%. Oh, whoopee!

I know this has dragged on far too long and hope you made it down here to the bottom, Shirlmygirl.

The Jim
In reference to your profile photo, no one thinks Great Britain cannot stand on its own two feet. It's just that Europe unified by a common currency and for a common good beats England going it alone.

We all look forward to England suffering severely for breaking its EU trading bond. This slap should not be rewarded by favorable terms. All trade agreements should be renegotiated to better favor EU partners, and why not?

Remember the scene in Downton Abbey where the first footman raises his hand from the WWI trench, holding a cigarette, and catches a bullet through it? This is kind of like Britain's self inflicted wound--except that no one was at war. The English just thought they were being abused, and swallowed the lies fed them by right wing propaganda pushers.

"We send the EU 350 million pounds a week."

metro.co.uk

The people who believed this lie deserve to suffer for that, and I for one will shed no tear.

Ya know, it is one thing to speak politics fervently. Whether you are on the right or on the left, there is a lot of passion on this forum for politics. But for you to compare what you say with Scripture, that is a very serious issue.

2 Timothy 3:16 - "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness"

<<I'm here to provide words profitable for instruction, to admonish with kindness, to reproof in conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, and for training in righteousness. 2 Timothy 3:16>>

Your words are not God's words. Your comparison attempts to put yourself on the same level as God, and you are not God. That position has been filled.

Jesus Wept
John 11:35. If I weep, am I placing myself on God's level?

Nonsense. As I understand it Christians are charged with emulating Christ, not avoiding all activity in which he engaged.
the-jim
06-Feb-18, 00:45

Religion or Politics
A true Christian should have no involvement in politics. When on trial before the Roman ruler Pilate, Jesus said "My Kingdom is no part of this World" (John 18:36)

We must obey God as ruler rather than man -Acts 5:29; Mark 12:17

IHS please try to unbiasly read the following
This is not a judgement.

IHS I am not speaking down to you nor am I questioning your love for God. What I say comes from scripture. Yet you call it a perverted distortion and wrong interpretation. On many occasions. And in many occasions I have said it is a litterall interpretation.

And as I have posted before if it were not for the incident in my life that showed me exodus 4 15. I would have quit talking to you long ago. I do not know the trials you face in your life but God does. Did you ever stop to think that maybe God would like you to quit politics and Pursue him with all your heart? Your heart is divided. As it is written you will have no other gods before me. When we fervently speak and belive in a man and lift him up on high and then defend every wrongdoing then seek other Christians to join into that. Is that not idolatry? You may not think so. But there is what you think and then what God says. There is a way that seem right to a man but in the end it leads to death. And all of us sin and fall short of the glory of God.

Do you think that I think I'm better than You? No way Jose. I am not worthy to stoop down and untie his sandles. And I am an ungreatful servant a man with unpurre lips. I am but dirty rags and least amongst you hear. And I say that for all to see.

Did not Ciaphs and the Sanhidren Love God. It was thier love of God that lead them to persecute the Christ. But there love was not love for what they really lived was the world and status. So Jesus said if you truly lived the father you would love me.

How many of your posts call for the destruction of your enemies?

Yet it is said live your enemies and bless those that persecute you.

How many of your posts are politically motivated (Which is fine) but when you bring Christ into that with the ferver that you do. It is like joining that union with a prostitute. For if a man live the world the love of the father is not in him.

You are the body of Christ and we are called to be careful what were join that to.

How many of your posts ( only the ones that have scripture in them) are designed to bring people to Christ.?

As I have said I am not judging you nor condemning you. You are taking it that way and that is your choice. You are torn over this issue. God wants you back. Do his work. Feed his sheep. For we all will cast this world aside but the one who can cast it aside while living is the one who will find life and have it abundantly. Just as Pual was content in a Roman prison .

You are free to do as you wish. No one will force you . But lift the veil that has been pulled over your eyes.

I will sincerely try to stop posting and leave you be. But that is not up to me. I will try none the less.

Is it easier for me to ignore you? Yes

Or not to care? Yes

But if we only do the things that come easily to us . We will avil little.

apatzer . . .
In the future I will be careful in how I respond to you and those who are opposed to what I post. My fervant desire to see a man with feet of clay succeed obviously clouded and distorted my judgment. I admit that, and to all those who I have offended in this manner I am sorry – truly I know it isn't my place to criticize or in any way critque your own PERSONALbeliefs.

Notwithstanding, my fervor and righteous indignation at what I see as demonic statutes aimed at countering/ eliminating conservative/ Christian principles will not slacken or abate. Yes, my heart is divided in that part of it serves Jesus without reservation, but another part requires me to raise my voice and to sound the alarm over satan's attack on liberties which are yet in place in America. While I have a voice to share my alarm I must.

Those who disagree with my stance may ignore me or debate the issues with me. I do not have all of the answers, but I am willing to learn. If you'll help me to expand my understanding, well and good. But, please, do not ask me to be quiet or to go away. Not as long as I have breath I can not be silenced except by a Holy visitation or death.

In summation I submit the counsel given among the Jewish leaders who conferred regarding their desire rto silence the first Apostles: Acts 5:38-40

Therefore, in the present case I advise you: Leave these men alone! Let them go! For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail.39 But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God.”
40 His speech persuaded them. They called the apostles in and had them flogged. Then they ordered them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.
apatzer
06-Feb-18, 15:25

Very good indeed. And what were the apostils teaching the people? And why did those who were in power try to stop then? Anyone who follows the example set by our one teacher will never be put to shame. So stay the course but if the ways of man fail and they shall. For the feet of clay you speak of was profisised in the book of Daniel. I offer you to read that.

So when nothing changes for the better please remember what you have read and turn. For the apostils spoke of the Christ and the ways of Christ are not the ways of the world.

I will say no more about this. Go in peace and I pray you will be lifted up.
