goldentweety 30-Jan-17, 16:56	Team Lucifer's Army not Knight Templars Lucifer's Army has changed the name of the team to Knights Templar Chess Team 2005. I am flattered that they want to emulate our success, but they plagiarized my home page. They took an exact copy of my home page and added a few things of their own and I find that offensive. Will Gameknot do something about this since we were established in 2005 and Lucifer's army was established in 2016? Can anyone give me some feedback on this? Joe Captain Knights Templar

goldentweety 30-Jan-17, 18:08	@saintinsanity The Knights Templar has existed since 2005 and we have approx. 145 members and we re 4th on the ladder. Lucifer's Army changed their name to Knights Templar Chess Team 2005 today. They have 80 members and are currently around 20 on the ladder. This is a deception to make other teams think they are challenging The (Real) Knights Templar and could cause chaos and confusion among the teams, not including it could damage the reputation of our great team.

royal_knight1 01-Feb-17, 01:37	JUST TO PUT THINGS RIGHT I was the co-captain of the knights Templars and had taken time off last November as my son had been killed in a motor cycle accident which goldentweety new about, so while I was away looking after my son's funeral I was demoted and the-jim became co-captain and he then changed the way the team was to perform which a few players including myself did not agree with so we left. I told him he was acting more like a dictator than a captain. Geoff

goldentweety 01-Feb-17, 11:00	Rebuttal to Knightemplar~1 I first met knightemplar~1 in a 4 game match in November 2015. I was co-captain of Never Look Back. During our games he recruited me(in violation of rule 14). As an incentive he resigned all four games. Knights Templar did not have a co-captain at this time. I left NeverLookBack as a co-captain and was immediately accepted to the Knight's Templar as a co-captain. During the period Dec 2015- Nov 2017 I did all the matchups, and recruitining for the team. Knightemplar~1 wanted it this way. We were in constant communication until 3 months before I was made co-captain, when knightemplar1 went silent and would not answer my messages. We did have an agreement that at a certain time I would be be promoted to captain and that occurred on Nov 11,2016. There was no agreement to return the captaincy to knight_templar~1. In fact knighttemplar~1 wanted no more games so I made him an honorary co-captain. He then asked me for 4-5 games against opponents rated much higher than him(+150) and I obliged. On Decemnber 25, I assigned a regular match to knightemplar~1 and he immeditely quit the team and became co-captain of lucifer's army immediately. While I did demote kings_templar temporarily while his son was fatally killed in a motorcycle accident, it was to make room for the_jim. When he was ready to return, I reinstated him but the only spot I had was knightemplar~1. Kings-Templar did not like a performance review and evaluation process that I implemented so he quit the team, leaving me with two co captains. I did not fire kings_templar; he chose to quit. Knighttemplar~1 is in violation of rule 1 of the code of coduct for accusing me of having a mental disorder and calling me a liar. I did not axe any co-captains. The_jim quit because of disgracing the team while booing adambomm in a thread called Team Immortal Kings. hE advertised for a new team and was picked up by TheKingsofThe Castle. Again knightemplar~1 is out of line for calling me stupid according to Rules of Conduct1 and again in insinuating that I can barely spell my name. He thinks it is a joke at my expense to choose a new team name. And again knightemplar~1 should be called into question for the rules of conduct for insinuating that I will have bouts of manic depression when the new team name is chosen. My posts are clear and I am level headed. I am taking a stand on this issue for the protection of our team(147 members) and its reputation. Knightemplar~1 is guilty of multiple infrations of the code of conduct; he has hijacked our team name, and plagiarized our website and the breaches in code of conduct clearly indicate malice towards me. I too am working with gameknot to get this issue resolved. Note that nowhere in my statements do I make durogatory or insulting remarks towards knightemplar~1 because I believe in the code of conduct. In this situation I feel attacked(both as an individual and as a team), singled out, insulted and harrassed Joe Belanger Captain Knight's Templar

the-jim 01-Feb-17, 14:08	@ Joe As you know the Knight Templar Team came to be in September 2005 but the team first reached number one on the ladder on 12 July 2016 So why haven't you recorded this on your team page You have recorded that the team first got to ONE on 13 July 2016 not 12 July 2016 Is there a reason? or is it a mistake! You will know why I am asking!

This is the game that took the team to ONE game I was wondering if you black-listed me or is it a mistake. The game ended on 12 July and the team records state you was number ONE on 12 July 2016. I know you are a gentleman and I am sure it must be a mistake

shirlmygirl 01-Feb-17, 16:07	I don't suppose my team will be playing a team captained by knightemplar-1, but that is the nastiest post I have seen yet on the Team Captains' Club. I am not disputing that id= knightemplar-1 has a valid argument in the case of the team that he started. Perhaps there is one other post that equals this, one in which I was called a "cross-wearing heifer."

And, if you want the best results from GK where they agree, my recommendation would be to discuss this issue with cplusplus11, as he is, by my books, an expert when it comes to reporting this kind of behavior. I'm a little surprised that someone would act like this. But, I'm not that surprised, anymore. And, it's certainly not what it used to be. As I have learned from TA, there are people who act like they can post or say whatever they feel like. What people forget is that there are rules, and not just on GK but in society, as well.

I distinctly Remember you saying, that due to lack of time you would only be involved in the slow ladder on Gameknot. In essence you stated you would not be Captain any longer due to lack of time. (Too much work?) As for being assigned 3 day move games? Are you serious? YOU SET YOUR AUTO DECLINE SETTINGS! If you did not want three day games. Set your own settings to reflect that. I don't know you. We do not have any history, also I am new to the team. So I do not have a dog in this fight. However when I see an obvious untruth from you, I have to chime in, because it is bull shit. It is like a marriage... you say to your wife... I don't have time for you and I'm not willing to do the work to make this a good relationship. So we need to see other people. Then one day you decide to come back home.... honey I'm home! Meanwhile your wife has moved on. So you expect her new husband should just sucked it up and move out? Sorry life doest work that way. You made every single decision that lead to this. YOU transfered ownership, and all the childish behavior in the world won't get you what you want because at the end of the day... you gave up on us
royal_knight1 01-Feb-17, 22:45	out of order I think I have made a mistake and jumped in with both feet when joining knightstemplar-1 to be one of his co-captains I did not do my homework, both have been my captains and both were great, but after that posting by knightstemplar-1 which was below the belt and out of order and some things that were said true or not should have been kept private and I have told him so in a pm. goldentweety joe I had no idea that was going to happen, I left of my own free will because of the 2 reasons I stated earlier. I would like to say that what mike d said about goldentweety is true. Geoff.

shirlmygirl 02-Feb-17, 14:45	You are wrong, saintinsanity. Team play is worth it. You just have to choose the right teams to play for your own peace of mind, and stop scrambling for the #1 position. That position might come naturally to you.
