![]() One of my team members asked me what the game log was for. I hadn't noticed it before the question came up. I opened one of my games at random and clicked on the log, it tells me who moved and precisely when in my local time. Interesting perhaps but what my team mate was asking was how does it help to know precisely when someone moved? I'm afraid I don't know the answer, can any of you help me out here? Cheers Harry |

![]() I’m not sure how it helps though. If you want to know how long someone is taking to move against you, perhaps it’s useful then. Looking at one of my games, it also listed when I postponed my games for a few days. I can’t see anything else out of it, though I’m blind knowing me, perhaps someone else has a better answer? I still can’t believe though I didn’t know about this all these years |

![]() I think that if my team mates have the time to worry about stuff like this, then I'm clearly not keeping them busy enough. I'll try to work up a polite reply to my team mate along these lines and then go and find him some more games to play. Cheers Harry |

![]() The time can be useful so you can see what days and hours your opponent dedicates to moves. To accelerate a game you can make sure your move occurs before theirs. Or to maximize your clock you can make your last move after theirs. I use it primarily for counting conditionals, but the cluster information is also useful. Some players are 24/7 and always move within ten minutes of you. |

![]() Another log style feature you all might enjoy is the game database. You can submit your own games to the database, to gauge which openings have been most successful for you and which need more work. Depending on how many games you play, submitting them to that log at least annually is probably a good idea. |
