![]() Following is background on the clowns holding that bogus interview making the rounds where hydroxychloroquine is erroneously described as "a cure." There is no cure. We all wish there was, but if wishes were horses then beggars could ride. www.politifact.com |

![]() "Most [people] are appalled by [Boris Johnson's] apparent failure to address the pressing international issues of the day; by the gratuitous offense that he has given to so many of the UK’s partners when it desperately needs their goodwill; and by the country’s loss of stature on the global stage." www.newstatesman.com “If you were concerned about the principles and vision and long-term interests of Britain, you would not regard him as your pin-up,” [Chris Patten – a former EU external affairs commissioner, Hong Kong governor and Conservative cabinet minister] said. “This is an office once held by people like Carrington, Hurd, Douglas-Home, Callaghan and Bevin. What on Earth has become of us?” We are no stranger to such circumstances here in the United States, where we elected Boris's stupider twin brother. Boris at least has a sense of humor about him, and can make convincing self deprecating jokes. Our Boris [Groper] has no such saving grace. I find it fascinating how Classica pushes phony lung lights and lung disinfectant until Groper dismisses his fantasies as "sarcasm," and now pushes hydroxychloroquine just as hard as Groper does. Why so aligned with our idiot president? Nigel Sheinwald, a former ambassador to the US and the European Union, [said]: “[Johnson’s] style gets in the way of handling foreign relations in a serious, responsible way at a time of real difficulty for this country… I don’t think he’s been at all helpful to the UK national interest, and I think that’s very regrettable indeed.” Another former British ambassador... called him “the least deserving and least qualified foreign secretary of modern times, who has successfully lived down to all expectations." "I, too, am dismayed by the harm that Johnson is doing to my country and appalled by the possibility of him becoming prime minister." [Which happened, sadly.] Martin Fletcher "[Boris] is charismatic and funny, cultured and erudite, yet blessed with the common touch. He is a wonderful wordsmith, even if he often uses words to deceive and dissemble." So using words to deceive and dissemble is very much like our Groper, but Groper is neither charismatic, funny, cultured, OR erudite. He is ignorant, boorish, narcissistic, vile, contemptible, and... Well, you've all heard me go on about Groper before. Quote: Strip away the bluster and bonhomie, and you are left with a chaotic, mendacious, philandering, egotistical, disloyal and thoroughly untrustworthy charlatan driven by ambition and self-interest. Or, as the BBC broadcaster Eddie Mair once put it, “a nasty piece of work”. Substitute Donald for Boris and this paragraph loses nothing in translation. Quote: Who seriously believes that Johnson gets up each morning and asks himself: “How can I improve the lot of ordinary people?” The notion of him serving the general public, rather than himself, is so manifestly absurd that no answer is required. Ditto Donald. Quote: His first proper job, on the Times, was brief. Asked to write about the discovery of Edward II’s palace, he invented a titillating quotation from his godfather, Colin Lucas, a Balliol history don, suggesting that the king had cavorted there with his catamite, Piers Gaveston. Unfortunately, Gaveston was executed 13 years before the palace was built. Lucas, furious, complained to the Times. Johnson was sacked. Interviewed by the BBC’s Michael Cockerell in 2013, Johnson said: “It was awful. I remember a deep, deep sense of shame and guilt.” And there Boris and Donald differ greatly. Donald has never suffered any consequences for his lies or criminal activity. Every lie he tells is rewarded. |

![]() If those people choosing camp 2 and opting to believe childish conspiracies like your 'banned video' weren't going to worsen the pandemic and were the only ones going to suffer from their stupidity i would agree that's a great plan. I would even donate some of my wife's hard earned money. Tell me honestly if you or your family are sick who do you go to? A mainstream medical professional or do you insist on finding someone who will tell you your problem is you slept with bad spirits, or a snake oil salesman, a Haitian voodoo doctor, car mechanic, a corrupt realestate salesman turned President (sorry all ready mentioned snake oil)? Who? |

![]() 160,000 have now perished from the sniffles. Our worst flu seasons barely top 60,000, without any protective measures at all, and we are going to break 300,000 by December. Absent containment we would grossly exceed that. <<Regarding hydroxychloroquine: "...they employ multiple treatment disciplines - including giving plasma from recovered COVID patients...and are now using the anti-viral favoured first by China called favipiravir." So from this article the effectiveness of the hydroxychloroquin component is anecdotal and they have now stopped using it.>> Good point, Pete. One of the guys who took HCQ to prevent Covid got sick anyway, and he continued taking it but could not say it did anything to alleviate his symptoms, though he is still alive. As noted multiple times, the drug does nothing to prevent infection, and multiple independent and carefully controlled studies reveal no benefit in the treatment. Remdesivir appears to be beneficial for the treatment of Covid, but is also hideously expensive. Latest news is that the vaccine in trial now could be ready by November 2021. |

![]() www.wsj.com No mask, over eight feet of spread. Bandana, under four feet. Other masks, including hand sewn ones, even less. What was the number one recommendation in 1918? Masks. How is it we learned nothing in the past 102 years? There are four obvious simple things demonstrated again and again to work. 1. Masks 2. Social distancing 3. Contact tracing IV. I forgot what 4 was. |
