The Electric fence
A property manager of a rather large community who is in charge of ensuring the tranquility of that community. Found out that an electric fence had been put up around and in many place's within the community itself. Before anyone knew what was going on the property manager had known that the fence would be put in place, but when the community asked about it he told them. The fence's will be no problem at all they will barley affect our community there is nothing to worry about. Nothing needs to be done and we will wait and see what happens.

Later when more and more fences were being put up all over the community it was suggested to use Rubber gloves when you had to interact with the fence, because rubber is an insulator that will protect you from the electricity. The Property manager said, Rubber gloves don't always work, and they are uncomfortable and look ridiculous! I won't be wearing them and they really aren't needed, because we have this fence issue completely under control! Meanwhile at least several hundred people were electrocuted. It is a very small number the property manager said, there is nothing to worry about we are doing a fantastic job.

These electric fences are like any ordinary electric fence heck! more people drown in a river every year than are killed by these fences. There is nothing to worry about we are doing great everything is very under control.

Meanwhile The fences are now in every neighborhood

Hundreds of thousands have been electrocuted men, women and children in OUR community!

Then we find out that when the property manger first found out about the fences, He … …

1. Knew they were coming well in advance
2. Knew they were 5x more deadly than a normal electric fence
3. Knew that you didn't have to touch the fence for it to electrocute you.
4. yet did nothing to stop them, and downplayed them constantly and also criticized harshly any protection measures that could have been used to avoid electrocution.

Question? What should be done with this property manger? Where is his liability and responsibility in all this?
could he be sued for wrongful death and negligence?

Sue, baby sue. And hang him by his toes. And by all means kick him out of the community.

I'd think so, and possibly even more. I don't just see it as negligence but mass murder. As he knew that people were dying and how deadly they were. My take is that if this were just negligence even if he knew people were dying, he would've still discontinued the electric fences. Even though I try to think the best in people, I believe that he wanted those people dead. If I were a law enforcement officer and this happened around me, I'd arrest and charge this individual with multiple counts of murder.

Do you mean that these electric fences have actually killed people and not just shocked them? That seems incredible. One would think that the authorities would jump on this right away and order the electric fences removed or rendered non electric. What country are these installed in?

It is a parable to describe President Trumps handling of the Pandemic. Because of the way he handled it at least 150K people have died because of his lies, wants and need and for him to project just another false image.

Lets say you needed to cross a large field and you were told there were landmines in it. Then I tell you go ahead and cross there is only 20 landmines. When I had the best people in the world telling me there were well over 1000 landmines in that filed. I would have sent you to your death unless you got lucky.

Its a shame that the landmine Trump stepped on didn't go off. but then again he got special treatment while others in the hundreds of thousands have died!

Oh, I am so glad you explained that to me, Robert. I could not understand that at all. President Trump thought that the possibility of the pandemic coming here just wouldn't happen. He was "dead wrong." I am not sorry at all that he was defeated, even though I am a Republican.

I have been a Republican since the very early 90's however I have divorced myself from politics. They are a very worldy institution that the Prince of this world uses at his leisure. Instead I examine the qualities of a man by what fruit he has born, his level of honesty and the importance of the truth to that person. I would more app vote for someone who said. "I did wrong and am without excuse please forgive me" than for someone who always has an excuse and someone else to blame.

Trump Pandemic
Had he been wrong only once--"it will be fifteen people tops and diminish to zero by April," that would be one thing. "Covid Covid Covid Covid Covid. You won't hear a word about it come November 4th."

He just continues to get it wrong over and over, and not wearing a mask to demonstrate real leadership is also a huge failing.

He did commit to Warp Speed, which beat all expectations. I commend him for that. The man isn't pure evil--just the closest we've ever come to it yet. Mocking disabled reporters. Endorsing torture.

I hear on social media that the new defense of his Hollywood Access "grab them by their..." is that he was jawboning "star *ers.". It is a sick world in which we dwell, made sicker by global pandemic. No nation has lost more people than we have, have they?

It is a sick world without a doubt, and Jesus is prophesied to return to it when it is at its sickest. Whether it is soon or not so soon, we do not know.

The Return of Jesus
I think Jesus already came back and took all his people home with him, which is why the Neandertal are no more. This is not insulting--the Neandertal were better people. They had bigger brains, more robust skeletons, and most of us share a little bit of their DNA. If you are from subsaharan Africa, odds are fair you have no Neandertal DNA. Otherwise, you have both Neandertal and Denisovan.

It could be Jesus came for the Denisovans, and NOT the Neandertal. They dwell among us no longer either.

I think you are wrong, lord_shiva. The Book of Revelation is not fulfilled yet. And you had better be careful. You might be one who moans and groans when "every eye shall see Him, even them that pierced Him". This is one of the scriptures on my team page. Those unfortunate Roman soldiers. They were just carrying out orders, but some of them probably enjoyed it.

"Behold, He cometh with clouds, and every eye shall see Him, and they also who pierced Him, and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen. Revelation 1:7, KJV.

I did not realize that this is what it was about. I honestly thought that someone was actually using an electric fence but in another country. With that, I'm no longer going to be involved in this thread because I'm not into politics.

I thought it was a report about an actual electric fence also, Joe.

This thread really isn't about politics, nor is it political at all. I have also divorced myself of politics so I completely understand.

Sorry you got such a reaction apatzer. I would have assumed this crowd would appreciate a good parable. I think you should keep them coming!

Electric Fence Parable
I liked the electric fence parable.

I think parables are lost on a lot of people as they only see the literal story, not any association with useful information.

Like with Aesop's fables, the boy who cried wolf has application only to sheep herders, not to liars in general. The lesson becomes completely lost when we focus on the sheep on not on the deeper, underlying meaning.

As you are well aware, the same thing holds true for the Genesis account of creation. People get hung up on, "this is the way it was," and lose sight of the true wonder of the universe. It is when one grasps the true scale and enormity of both the size of our universe and its vast age, and the processes that occurred to bring about this present moment that one better understands the mind boggling awesomeness of our Creator. I mean--even this knowledge is only a tiny glimpse of the reality of things, but it is so superior to wearing welding goggles someone spray painted flat black over the inside and out.

I certainly believe in a lot of proverbs. My mother used to say them all the time, and few of them were Biblical. One verse from the Bible comes to my mind, and I am not sure of the scripture reference. "He sitteth upon the circle (circuit) of the earth". That is so amazing. I am not as ignorant as some people think.
