clashofpawns 09-Feb-18, 06:03	I'm a little humbled because I was outvoted on a couple moves that I felt were mistakes on our side and we ended up in this excellent position. I will have to revisit them. Of course my rating hasn't stabilized yet and is probably around 2400-2500 but I am currently still in the process of learning how to properly apply my skill set to this lovely time control we call correspondence. I am learning from everyone here in various subtle ways.

elyhim 09-Feb-18, 08:26	YEs IMHO they should have played 16. Ng6 when we would have difficulty to make progress. If I was in his position I would continue but my competitiveness would come out too.

ipsissimus 12-Feb-18, 03:36	My postponement was never cancelled When this move was made we still had well over a day to make our move. You should remember that I am still not well and mistakes could be made. The best way for you to help is not to allow such mistakes to be made. They can brag all they want but they will lose. The main reason is that we are playing better than they are. The other thing is that the Dutch is unsound. This is not just my opinion it has been echoed by Masters throughout this defenses history. I know that Fiat Lux has many people that believe in this but I challenge the club to a match. They can play the black side of the Dutch Stonewall and they will lose every game. Martin

clashofpawns 13-Feb-18, 01:43	I vote 21. Qc1 To support Ba3, double major pieces on semi-open file, defend backwards e pawn. Btw we have complete control over the open/close-ness of the c file. We can open it at any time. After Qc1, black has a few choices, then we have 22. Ba3 Nc5 23. b4 Ncd7 24. b5 Nc5 25. cxd5 exd5 And if black plays 21..Nc5 we could also play b4 right away instead of Ba3.
