I haven't watched an entire TV show for many years. The last time I watched a whole TV show was, I think, a season 3 episode of Discovery Channel's 'Deadliest Catch'. I have far more interesting things to do than sit slack-jawed in front of a TV, living vicariously through viewing a contrived fantasy. JMO

when I watch tv my jaw is firmly clenched, never slack.

for the fans of Sons of Anarchy - I can't stop thinking about the scene in S6Ep13 where Gemma kills Tara. so graphic and confronting, amazing direction and writing. sort of reminded me a bit of the old game Cluedo... instead of Col Mustard in the Lounge with the Leadpipe, it was Gemma in the Kitchen with the BBQ fork. can't get it out of my mind. definitely on par with Opie's demise.

There was a live audience at the Bachelor season finale last night. This isn't a manly show at all. It's like the dating equivalent of Project Runway in terms of manliness. Anyway, there were some couples at the finale together and it was amusing how opinionated the men were about the show. They were INTO it and even had conflicting opinions with each other. Sooooo funny. Anyway.... Shark Week on Animal Planet seems pretty manly. Also Ice Road Truckers.

a man's life trumps tv

Tat, there's an online article today titled "how to know you've been watching too much Bachelor". I thought "if you watched one show".

Golf Channel, ESPN, or any sporting event that isn't gay like soccer.
golf?
....are you serious?....manly?
men wearing leather gloves, funny pants, playing with balls and sticks = unmanly
...and what's with the driving around in those anaemic little excuses for vehicles?.....
I'm with Spud on the golf thing. Unless you are golfing like Kevin Costner in the movie Tin Cup where he was using only a rake, shovel & baseball bat to hit the ball. Now that's manly. Wearing plaid pants & a pink shirt with custom golf cleats... not manly at all.

Looool henny B)
What I don't understand about soccer is how two hours can pass with no goals. They should make the field smaller or something to up the difficulty/action.

Phil wore a very purple polo last weekend. Not sure how I feel about it. I like him better in greens and pinks. Though I appreciate his adventures with color, as opposed to tiger's boring wardrobe. That young kid......Ricky Flower or whatever his name is in the crazy outfits......goes a little too PGA Project Runway for my taste.
my idea to make soccer more interesting is to double the width of the goal area and to have two balls on the field at the same time - get ready for some big scores and lots of excitement - provided the players aren't all lying on the ground feigning injuries (soccer players are such pussies)

Chilli.....I really like that idea. Honestly- I would probably start watching soccer on a regular basis if those changes were made!
