It's St. Patrick's Day
and it's before 11 am. All the suburban teens are already packed on the train, drinking rum and Heineken bombers for their first foray into the big city. They are looking to cause mayhem in the streets that are going to eat their faces by the urban big boys that prey on these fools.

The trip home tonight should be a barrel laughs. Without failure, there are fights and/or heightened situations... I see it every year.

Oddly, it was the quietest St. Patrick's Day in NYC that I can remember. All quiet on the eastern front.

The only incident I witnessed, after the fact, was a young girl being tended to at Penn Station. She was so drunk, that she fell toward the bottom of an escalator and was lying face first, surrounded by cops, with more rushing in.

I guess she was okay as I heard one of em say, "Okay, you have to get up!"

It was strangely peaceful. No incidents on my watch.
