Hi Everybody
My name is Dave and my trail name is Southpeak. I will finish up the Long Trail in Vermont this Summer.I have hiked the Presidentials in NH and am planning a week at Baxter State Park in Maine to climb a few of the 4000 footers in Maine this year.My daughter has hiked the AT. I also visit Alaska once a year to enjoy its beauty and visit my grandchildren.I will post time permitting as I am not retired yet.I have a snowshoeing trip planned up Mount Abraham in Vermont in February with one of my daughters.

Re: brigadecommander
Thank you for your introductory comments. My dream is to someday re-visit Alaska and walk among the Grizzly bears. While I certainly don't want to get to close to one, I would like to view them fishing from a distance. I look forward to your continued posts.

Re: southpeak
Welcome to the club, Dave. I am envious of your trips to Alaska. I have never hiked in the New England states; however, I would welcome the opportunity to do so. Feel free to post your hiking memoirs. A 4000 foot climb would be a challenging one. I look forward to reading further about your adventures.
