The Front Bar
A place for all to pull up a stool, have a drink and spin a yarn. Also great place for newcomers to introduce themselves! So have one on ol Tipsy and tell us your story, be it chess or otherwise.

Cheers!

Don't rightly know how true it is, but I hear tell
when a cat crosses your path
it will give you a bad spell
and if you walk under a ladder,
some bad thing will happen
so to walk around is better
and to spill salt on the floor,
just don't do it anymore.
If you think all this is true,
then I have some more for you!

I work up ladders, so I know people should not walk under ladders. This is because tools or slates etc could fall onto someone.

The cat thing is about black cats crossing your path. I'm not superstitious and I like animals so I would encourage a kitty to cross my path so I can be nice to him / her

Salt is of the earth and so I like it. I think at one point in time Roman Solders were paid with salt. have not looked it up, but its something I remember in History lesson

Tell me more

Also your a poet lol

Avast ye Sea Dogs!
Before any of you steal any more rum, ol Tips is leaving on a jet plane, don't know when I'll be back again. Which means I'll need someone else to tend bar. All (reliable) applicants please step forward, down a pint and then put your hand out for the keys!
