Double Bishop sacrifice blitz games,3,5 and 10 minutes...
Well,I had the Q sac,the double Rook sac,now i'm brewing up a new weird drink to let my opponents gulp down..."The double Bishop sacrifice"in blitz. This is where I get next nothing, usually 2 pawns compensation(at most)for throwing both of my Bishops off of a cliff.

Crazy,criminally insane...right?Dumb?Retarded?Stupid?

Or diabolically clever?You decide.

Hey,its less point value than a double Rook sac, right? So,perhaps i'm being a bit more merciful?

My first game below is as expected, against a 1200 rated.Tons of those in the 5 minute blitz room.I can't get away from them! But who knows what their true strength is?It may be much higher than 1200 if they never played a long corresp game on GK and there is no record of true rating.

So,i'll start with this 1200 and graduate to 1800-2100 when I find them and introduce them to my nice radioactive, blue/green glowing plutonium drink with cyanide whipped cream topping! Ha ha!(Forgive my gallows humor, its simply my twisted sense of humor,no offense intended!)On GK,the trouble is that you cannot easily select your opponent by rating as other blitz sites allow you to do.So,i'm stuck with who I get.Notice,by the way, that all my games have zero increment? That is mainly because if they turn out a much better player than I calculated in the first few moves, then I switch to double plutonium drink strategy and play a defensive game of duck and weave to time them out!!!!!Part of my blitz "pro"strategy!Giving my opponent "too much time" when I handed them both my Bishops would be like super heavy stomp dancing on super thin warmer ice with heavy sharp metal studded shoes and 10 Great white sharks are looking up at me with very hungry bellies and eyes. Now,that incremental decision WOULD be stupid!!!

So here it is...#1 of many:

Position after move #8:

I won't make many comments here, you check the game out and see how I found it imperative to make my Knights do "double duty" with forks,Q attacks and aggressive moves to make a cast iron stomach regurgitate.Keep the pressure on,and many players fold, especially if they are down 2 minutes in time in a zero incremental game.

Enjoy! No time to annotate this first game, maybe the next one!

What the heck am I doing here with this double Bishop sac?Am I just bragging and taking candy from a baby,or am I presenting these games to club members as a "learning tool"in order to illustrate things NOT TO DO if you were the black in the above game?

Hmmmmm....food for thought.You decide.

Single Bishop sac,not double sac,but with triple results!
Another blitz gem of mine against a 1507 rated player this time. Now,in this case,I believe that the 1507 player may have seen my suicidal Bishop on square g5 on move #2 if the game has much longer time factors, but that is a different chapter!

This game represents much more sinister and "hidden"psychology against players that I engage quite often in the 5-10 minute blitz room!If I make an unexpected open sacrifice move, especially in the very early opening,it many times short circuits a players brain into believing that there is no danger, since I have not set my game up for an attempted fools mate without my Q.So their mind looks elsewhere on the board and forgets momentarily that their Q is wide open for attack!

My move #2:

My opponents response(move #2...b6)below.Then I will move 3.Bxd8 with my opponent taking the Bishop back with 3....Kxd8.This also destroys his natural castling ability right from move #3!

So,your simply thinking, well TA,this was simply an oversight by your much weaker opponent, and it happens!

Hmmmmm. No,its more than meets the eye here! And my opponent had a 10 minute blitz game here, not 5 minutes! So,plenty of time in the opening to spot that Q attack above! Its a reverse psychology move!

See,I WANTED my opponent to capture my Bishop(through my sac) to begin exposing his Q,for my later attacks and eventual equality recaptures later in the game. But no one would normally do such a thing!See?So his mind could not interpret a horrible blunder move like my Bg5 move and his eye simply shifted to the other side of the board where he moved in the second diagram above to fianchetto. So,it was a test of psychology and the unexpected! He failed...miserably!Its more than just an "oversight"!

So,right out of the chute, from moves #2 and #3 the game was over when I captured his Q with 3.Bxd8!

Is 1500+ a weak rating?Heck no!Its average.This game was a true test in psychology...and the winner was.....
