re:-utopian-
I would just like to re-interate the welcome that Frank (inhis_service) has offered to you and others. I've been very busy since Saturday around 11:00 am, and hence, I did not catch your new membership earlier. As I remind all new club members, please take a few minutes and review the club's "Statement of Faith," if you have not already done so. This Statement was not prepared by me, yet it was prepared by the initial moderators of the club. We sincerely hope you will enjoy posting your ideas and opinions here, but keep in mind, the sole mission of this club is to bring glory and honor to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Welcome, man with no name , (kidding).

As a man of God you're welcome to our club, where Christ is King.

re: Welcome Phil
Hello Phil,

Glad to have you aboard. I started this little club about 2 years ago. I say "little" club because it has blossomed forward due to members like yourself who have taken a few moments to participate in our forum. You will find many Christ-like brothers and sisters here who seek to bring honor and glory to God the Father, Jesus His Son, and the Dear, Precious Holy Spirit, which by the way, is the mission of this club. We very much look forward to your future posts.

Blessings,
Jim

I'm not new but I don;t participate much.

I disagree with much of what y'all say.

Hi from England
I'm not particularly new to this site but like Jan, I don't participate much lately. When I get the chance, I like to read through some of the threads and often, I want to comment but feel I have a tiny voice and am often too easily judged. I have my beliefs but mostly keep them to myself.

I do question my own beliefs regularly.

Never stopping thinking-about, questioning, challenging, contemplating and analyzing your faith.

We are all students of God and most of us know little more than a speck about the Father's essence, because His Wonders are far to majestic for physical Man to understand.

Jeremiah 9:23, 24 says

This is what the Lord says:
The wise man must not boast in his wisdom;
the strong man must not boast in his strength;
the wealthy man must not boast in his wealth.

But the one who boasts should boast in this,
that he understands and knows Me—
that I am Yahweh, showing faithful love,
justice, and righteousness on the earth,
for I delight in these things.
This is the Lord’s declaration.

These verses a few others I am aware of tend to say that God does invite us to get to know Him, apparently.

How would you interpret these verses I wonder, jan?

"Jeremiah 9:23, 24 says "

If you are wise: Be all quietly humble of all you that you are. If you become worthy of God's Holy anointment of Prophethood -- Then you will speak loudly of God's Wonder!

One might be wise to beware the temptation: Those who are given the conduit (Prophethhood) by the Father are rare and special!
There are none that I know of at this time.

How do you interpret this Passage?

Let's take this discussion over to a different thread, shall we?

This IS the New Members thread, after all. We'll discuss "Various Bible Translations" there, okay?

Welcome to all new members!
I just wanted to take a moment to say hello to all of our new members (and the "seasoned veterans" as well). I pray that the Lord would bless you all with His matchless grace and mercy and that in 2018, His Word will become an even great lamp unto your feet and a light unto your path!

Blessings to all,
