Mate in 2

Also, note to charleshiggie and any other brits that you can enter the National Solving competitions with the correct answer as described here:
www.theguardian.com

I have sent my answer already and am certain that it is correct.

Another mate in 2

I remember being criticized for posting a board.
I am just wondering if this is a case of it being ok to post boards, but
not ok for others.
That has been the reason I had not posted any more boards.

If this is grounds for my removal from this club, I will understand but
then I will know that there are such things as a double standard here.

5imon, this is not an attack on your person, (just so you will know).

< I remember being criticized for posting a board.>
I don t know what are you referring to...of course you, like any other in this club,is allowed to post boards...I don't see other way to present a chess problem

After all, it is not so hard, for expert solver. I send the solution to 5imon

@easy-win
The only such rule I can think of is that Elena has asked that people add puzzles to a new thread (or in this case to an existing one). Then post a link to that puzzle on the notice board thread (gameknot.com) so that everyone knows about it.

But don't post the puzzle directly onto the notice board thread as that way it can get cluttered with boards and discussion.

canopus1 has correctly solved it.

Okay
But I did what is being done here, I said in an actual game, I had
checkmated in two moves, which some people liked, and solved.

Anyway, I will just continue to enjoy the posts and not offer my opinions.

Thanks 5imon

A lesson on mate in two.
Today on the first page of gameknot there is this puzzle, a Problem by Viktor Chepizhny.

puzzle #31932

Certainly many of you have solved it; and I ask forgiveness to others.

First of all, we suppose the move is black.
1...Nf~ any 2.Nhg4‡
1...Nd~ any 2.Nf3‡
This is called setplay.

But we know that the move is to white.

So, the complete solution is:

1...Nf~ any 2.Nhg4‡
1...Nd~ any 2.Nf3‡

1.Be4! wait...
1...Nf~ any 2.Neg4‡ changed mate compared to setplay.
1...Nd~ any 2.Nc4‡ changed mate compared to setplay.
1...Nfxe4! 2.Nhg4‡ tranfered mate compared to setplay.
1...Ndxe4! 2.Nf3‡ tranfered mate compared to setplay.
The same mates reappear after different defenses.
if 1...Kxe4 2.Re6‡
