![]() My darling helpmeet said that she values early mornings when she walks one of our dogs. The local park she walks through is fresh and the scent of the flowering gums is delightful. She also values the evenings, when we sit on our back balcony together, to chew the fat of the day or the week, with our rockery/fountain splashing and the stars appearing one after another. "God is crepuscular; he comes to you in the early morning or the evening. Just like in Genesis, when he walked in the Garden with Adam and Eve in the cool of the evening." Far be it from me to dispute the insights of the DBW! There is great wisdom in the verse, "Be still, and know that I am God." Yes, as Christians in a fallen world we are called to activity. There is no disputing that. But we are also called to know that it's not all about us and our efforts, but about the God who knows us, and supports us, and works through us. Take time, all of you, to spend those morning and evening moments with the God who speaks to us in these times of change. |

![]() Indeed: God's place is certainly peace, serenity and love, so why not work to be closer to Him in that environment, huh? |
