But, I'll do neither (for now) as I think it a good public testimonial to the character of LS. Let all come to see and read the "intelligent response" to a decent request for civility. Or, maybe sanity will return to LS and he'll delete his own pornographic post. |

LOLThat does not quite epitomize hypocrisy, but it comes close enough to merit honorable mention as devoutly Republican. |

Decent Request for CivilityWhen Groper turns to Jesus, I'll take it under consideration, as noted in the post that has you so worked up. The man mocked a disabled reporter. "Ugh, I don't know what I said." He is demonstrably unfit for office. |

Is it your contention that because YOU deem Trump unfit for office that you can write pornographic, demeaning, denigrating, and insulting posts? Is that your excuse? |

Drain the Swamp: How Washington Corruption is Worse Than You Thinkyoutu.be Congressman Ken Buck – elected in 2014 as president of one of the largest Republican freshman classes ever to enter Congress – immediately realized why nothing gets done in Congress. It isn't because of political gridlock. In fact, members of both political parties work together all too well to fleece taxpayers and plunge America deeper into debt. Buck has witnessed first-hand how the unwritten rules of Congress continually prioritize short-term political gain over lasting, principled leadership. When he chose to tangle with Washington power brokers, he faced petty retaliation. When he insisted Republicans keep their word to voters, he was berated on the House floor by his own party leaders. When other members of Congress dared to do what they believed to be right for America instead of what the party bosses commanded, Buck saw them stripped of committee positions and even denied dining room privileges by the petty beltway bullies. In Drain the Swamp, he tells the true stories about what really happens behind closed doors in Congress during legislative battles and provides the true picture of just what goes on deep inside the swamp. www.heritage.org |

Unfit for OfficeLOL! Well, I agree with you that in quoting Comrade Groper one cannot help but be uncivil. The man is a walking pile of vile bile. I am sorry that quoting your glorious hero makes me appear uncivil. This is the level to which conservatives happily, nay ecstatically, brought our nation. I'm not going to clean up what Groper says, just because you agree it is offensive. You should not have voted for him in the first place if you knew he wasn't fit for office. |

LSI have not been a Trump cheerleader, although I have applauded some of his policies. I have mentioned the things I have disagreed with, when questioned about them and I have stood up for what I consider good moves. What you mistakenly identify as cheerleading for Trump, or as me thinking he is the "glorious hero", is my utter contempt for your language, uncivil discussions and disgusting character. |

softaire . . .Hear! Hear! It is because of such behavior/ language that gave rise to "blanket parties" in the old days. I'm sure you know these if you served, as it appears you have. |

softaire . . .But he CHOOSES to be obnoxious and vile doesn’t he? He acts childish and its my practice to ignore children are being unruly and otherwise contrary – others children. If they were mine I would teach them that I do not tolerate such behavior. For too long very many others on this and other forums have condescended to L_S’s level by catering to – winking as it were – bullish and foul language. He pouts and displays tantrums which nowhere in society (except here!) are allowed. Gameknot sees no problem with such behavior (I’ve tried that to no avail!) Yes, L_S can be very knowledgeable and capable of asserting views which we may have overlooked. But he REFUSES to acknowledge points of view which he disagrees with, it has to be to his point or we’re wrong! I’m not budging on this. I hope others follow suit. This is the only way L_S will see to reason. If enough of us let him we will not stand for it. If you find some ideas he presents as worthy of my consideration, you’ll let me know, okay? |

Back to Forum Topic - the swamp DrainingAnd in the naked light I saw Ten thousand people, maybe more People talking without speaking People hearing without listening People writing songs that voices never share And no one dared Disturb the sound of silence Fools, said I, you do not know Silence like a cancer grows This incredulous refusal to admit collusion and conspiracy to defraud the American people by the hard-core President Trump haters boggles my understanding! People who were working with and under President Obama initiated the “investigation” of Donald Trump even before he was elected. This was going to be the DNC’s ace in the hole in case Donald Trump won the presidency, which they were all so sure wasn’t’ going to happen. “Obama DOJ Wrote Phony Trump Dossier – Kevin Shipp” “CIA whistleblower Kevin Shipp says the next revelation that will come to light will be that Bruce Ohr, who was the fourth highest ranking official in the Obama Justice Department (DOJ), wrote the now infamous phony Trump Dossier which was used to apply for fraudulent federal wiretaps (with the FISA Court) to spy on Trump. Shipp, who is a former CIA Officer with a high security clearance, explains, “It all started from the fake dossier which led eventually to the appointment of Robert Mueller (Special Prosecutor) and the entire foundation is based on a falsity. . . . I understand the next revocation of security clearance is probably going to be Bruce Ohr because he crafted the fake dossier with Christopher Steele, and he may even have written the thing. . . . After the FBI supposedly fired Christopher Steele, Bruce Ohr had at least 70 communications (with Steele) back and forth talking about the ‘firewall’ is still there to protect us. Recent accounts show that Bruce Ohr either wrote the dossier with Christopher Steele or he wrote it himself in communication with Christopher Steele.” So, the only piece of so-called evidence to frame Donald Trump came from the Department of Justice? Shipp contends, “Yes. Oh, they coordinated it for sure. There are 70 emails back and forth between Ohr and Steele crafting the dossier. So, the FBI and Department of Justice were intimately involved with the creation and publication of that dossier.” Shipp goes on to say, “They even went further than that. The FBI and CIA counter-intelligence even placed an agent inside the Trump campaign.” The MSM is laser focused on the recent Cohen plea and the Manafort conviction that have nothing to do with Russian collusion. The Left wants to remove Trump from office even if the Mueller investigation is illegitimate and started with phony documents and fraudulent wiretap warrant applications. So, don’t expect to hear of this failed coup to remove Trump from office from the propaganda mainstream media (MSM). Shipp says the MSM are conspirators, and Shipp charges, “We know the mainstream media (MSM) is not interested in the news. They have, from their editors on down and their corporate owners, an objective and, in this case, to remove Donald Trump. He stands against everything that they are, the Left or the ‘Dark Left’ as I call it. Trump is actually confronting the Shadow Government and Deep State, and he has them shaking. He has the news media shaking that pushes these really leftist things. So, they are intentionally and on purpose blocking the news and deleting the news about things like this soft coup, the (phony) dossier. . . . They are co-conspirators because they have reported against the President using the soft coup to make it look like it is legitimate. Their editors know better than this, and they are doing this intentionally and on purpose. They covered up Hillary Clinton’s obstruction and violation of the espionage laws. They also covered up the FBI’s false FISA applications, and they are complicit in all of this. . . . Now, and this is really difficult because this is a civil war I am talking about . . . they have . . . brought in social media as part of the coup against the President of the United States. That memo has just come out and it’s 45 pages long, and it is now proven that’s what they are doing. This is social media propagandizing together with the MSM against the Trump Administration.” In closing, Shipp says, “I think we are at the beginning of a civil war. You’ve got the ‘Dark Left’ and you’ve got the Conservative people, the Constitutionalists. In progressivism, one of its tenets is to change the Constitution, especially the First Amendment, and uproot traditional America. Whatever happens in November is going to intensify that. . . . Their attack is against Christians and the Constitution.” usawatchdog.com |

Russian Mafia<<After the FBI supposedly fired Christopher Steele, Bruce Ohr had at least 70 communications (with Steele) back and forth talking about the ‘firewall’ is still there to protect us. Recent accounts show that Bruce Ohr either wrote the dossier with Christopher Steele or he wrote it himself in communication with Christopher Steele.”>> Steele never worked for the FBI, how could they "fire" him? Instead he simply shared information with them he found alarming. When Russians offer to help corrupt an election, you report that to the FBI. You don't email them, "I love it," and then collude, and have your father obstruct justice by crafting lies about the illegal meeting content. Unless you're a white evangelical Xtian, where the rule of law plays second fiddle to corruption, greed, lust, pride, envy, gluttony, wrath, and sloth. The new Xtian virtues emulated by our gloriously righteous hero president, who would have run in unarmed on his raging bone spurs to defend high school girls in their locker room from a terrorist packing a high capacity Parkland Special semiautomatic rifle. Softaire, please see fit not to harshly censor this post for not perfectly aligning with your errant political philosophy on the false pretext it is "pornographic." |

Have missed seeing these. On a personal note, may I inquire as to your views regarding the Bible's inerrancy? |

Yes, He Meant it for TheeThough I'll weigh in anyway--it is mostly "inerrant." There are a few obvious "scribal" errors. For example, the porch on King Solomon's temple is far higher than the temple itself--obviously a mistake. But it should not be taken as "literal." That is a terrible mistake, and causes any rational person to laugh the religion off as ridiculous. A 6000 year old Earth? Seriously? Chatting snakes? Jonah three days in the belly of a big fish? These things simply are not possible. Sasquatch stuff. Plus, there is no evidence the Jews were ever held captive in Egypt at the time noted, and used for slave labor. The story really doesn't hold much water. We could go on and on picking it apart, but the stories are like Aesop's fables--there are meaningful messages contained within them. Jesus himself spoke in parables, spinning yarns of things that likely never actually happened. The fable of the scorpion stinging the frog isn't found in the Bible, and when Groper tells it he gets the morale completely wrong--typical of someone of such stymied intellect. "Stable genius" he is not. Note: There are a couple of obscene words in the following story--but it is hilarious! www.dailykos.com |

Snake SongThe whole thing is pretty ironic, but Groper's minions eat up the hate while missing the irony. www.chicagotribune.com There are no obscene words in the link above--enjoy! |

The Bible does not give an age for the earth. That is a manufactured number. <Seriously?> Yes, seriously. <Chatting snakes?> Do you know anything about demonic possession? That is obviously what was going on. And it was not a snake in the Garden of Eden, it was a serpent. Big difference. <Jonah three days in the belly of a big fish?> And that is difficult to believe because...? You think a God that could create the universe, turn water into wine, heal lepers, give sight to the blind, multiply loaves and fishes and raise at least three people from the dead would be scratching his head over how to keep someone alive in the belly of a great fish? Seriously? <These things simply are not possible.> If you don’t believe in the supernatural and an omnipotent God, I suppose it follows you wouldn’t believe they’re possible. <Sasquatch stuff.> Yeah, kind of like one species evolving into an entirely separate and distinct species lol. |

Sometimes He did and sometimes He didn’t, and it’s pretty clear when He did. When was the last time you read the Gospels? And I mean the actual Gospels, not “summaries” on an atheist website. |

IHSIt seems you asked me: "On a personal note, may I inquire as to your views regarding the Bible's inerrancy?" And, later you ask: "Those are your words aren't they? A straight forward question which is common when anybody expresses interest in spiritual matters. Is there a problem?" ******************************************************************** I see no problem in asking me a straight forward question. I don't understand why you ask me that question though. That's why I wasn't sure you were actually asking me. I have mentioned that I am NOT a practicing Christian although I feel comfortable with Christians... mostly. I have very little knowledge of the Bible and so have NO clue as to Bible inerrancy. And, I have no desire to know more. I don't believe in religions or their value although I am an agnostic concerning there being a God or not. I am not trying to insult you or Christianity. I am giving you a straight forward answer to your straight forward question. The original post was NOT about a religious spirit, if that's how you took it. It was about my appreciation for two different points of view being made in a good discussion. |
