![]() If Mordecai were alive this day he would be right there before the White House, or the Supreme Court. This is the midst of the government powers of America which 40 years ago passed a most grievous law. Like Haman’s declaration to slaughter the Jews of 127 provinces – in what later became Persia, the Supreme Court has made a declaration that allows the killing of the unborn. But where is Mordecai today? Once we cried out as did Mordecai in Persia many years ago. I was in anguish and cried out vehemently. I was in shock. Surely, many of you reading this were, too, in shock and cried out. But do we still morn and cry out? Do we truly call attention to the holocaust occurring daily? Or have we turned into Easters – warm and snug in our palaces – thinking we will be safe? Mordecai reminded Ester that if she failed to approach the king and ask for mercy, God would find deliverance from another. Have we decided to live comfortably, day to day, while the babies are slaughtered – because we believe God will deliver these Innocent ones – when? How? By Whom? What are we waiting for? |
