A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. So then, you will know them by their fruits,"

I would call Andrew Jackson a ravenous wolf!

But the department also announced that the man currently on the bill — perhaps America's worst president and the only one guilty of perpetrating a mass act of ethnic cleansing — will still be on there: Andrew Jackson. This is unacceptable. Jackson was a disaster of a human being on every possible level, and should not be commemorated positively by any branch of American government. And as a slave owner, putting him on the other side of Tubman's bill is particularly disgraceful.

Many of the European missionaries who energetically sought to spread Christianity to Native peoples were motivated by a sense of mission, seeking to bring the Gospel to those who had never had a chance to hear it, thereby offering an opportunity to be “saved.” In the context of the often brutal treatment of Native peoples by early Spanish conquistadors, many missionaries saw themselves as siding compassionately and protectively with the indigenous peoples. In 1537, Pope Paul III declared that Indians were not beasts to be killed or enslaved, but human beings with souls capable of salvation. At the time, this was understood to be an enlightened view of indigenous people, and one that well-meaning missionaries sought to encourage.

Letters from missionaries who lived among the Indians give us a sense of the concerns many held for the welfare of tribal peoples. A letter by Franciscan friar Juan de Escalona criticizes the “outrages against the Indians” committed by a Spanish governor of what is now New Mexico. The governor’s cruelty toward the people, de Escalona wrote, made preaching the Gospel impossible, for the Indians rightly despised any message of hope from those who would plunder their corn, steal their blankets, and leave them to starve. The writings of Jean de Brebuf, a French Jesuit missionary who lived and worked among the Hurons for two years without securing a single convert, reveal the powerful force of religious devotion that compelled missionaries to leave their homes for unknown lands and rugged lives in North America.

This unfortunate portrayal of early American among the Indians is as sad and modern-day Americans among non-Christians today. Whenever people behave unruly and uncivilized towards others they can NOT BE CALLED EXAMPLES OF CHRISTIANITY. Why should they be?

No Other Foundation Can Be Laid Than That Which Was First Laid
America’s failure to protect our Judeo/Christian world view has brought her to the brink of ruin due to an undeclared civil war which now is being waged between factions impossible to clearly define with any accuracy. The reason these factions are impossible to define is simply because the whole foundation of our Republic has been compromised by those opposed to our Judeo/Christian heritage.

Today I found a website which defines what America’s Judeo/Christian heritage ideally could be and ask the reader to compare that with what America is today.

“The Judeo-Christian World View and American Politics”

No other worldview has had as material an impact on America and her politics as the Judeo-Christian worldview. The land that became known as the United States of America was called America long before there was a declaration of Independence.

[1] The Bible tells us in Isaiah 33:22 that government should be made up of three branches, a lawgiver, a judge, and a king. This corresponds to a legislature (Congress), a judiciary (Supreme Court), and an executive (President).The primary purpose of such a government is to administer God’s justice on the earth to protect the innocent and punish the wicked. The rule of justice protects property, family, and society while preserving freedom for man who was made in the image of God. It recognizes that man is in a fallen state (sin) and that order is necessary to sustain life. The government is just one of the three primary institutions (along with the family and the church) that God established for society.

The role of the family is to manifest God’s community and creativity, including procreativity. The role of the church is to manifest God’s love and grace on the earth. The church, state, and family are the three institutions ordained by God for reflecting His character and maintaining order for mankind. Each institution has its proper role and sphere. When implemented according to His will, blessings will flow and man will flourish. When these institutions are corrupted, or their influence distorted, curse will flow and man will suffer. The Old Testament teaches that God’s people repeated a familiar pattern: Rebellion is followed by retributive justice which is followed by repentance and then restoration.

Of course, I expect – indeed I welcome – dissenting views, because I submit before these objections that the Judeo-Christian world view is what our Constitution and Bill of Rights were based upon. And furthermore, to include or amend our values with anything other than Judeo-Christian values will necessarily make our Republic vulnerable to unrest and splintering such as we are now experiencing.
