Hannah Arendt
Mass propaganda discovered that its audience was ready at all times to believe the worst, no matter how absurd, and did not particularly object to being deceived because it held every statement to be a lie anyhow.

The totalitarian mass leaders based their propaganda on the correct psychological assumption that, under such conditions, one could make people believe the most fantastic statements one day, and trust that if the next day they were given irrefutable proof of their falsehood, they would take refuge in cynicism.

Instead of deserting the leaders who had lied to them, they would protest that they had known all along that the statement was a lie and would admire the leaders for their superior tactical cleverness.

Hi Forgey
So typically Trump, I love it

He was ofc referring to widespread media criticsm of his performance at that summit, where he *appeared* to side with Putin over U.S. intelligence agencies on the issue of Russian interference in the 2016 election.

What I was reading that he said:

"I have President Putin, he just said it’s not Russia. I will say this: I don’t see any reason why it would be"

But what he ACTUALLY said, was:

"I have President Putin, he just said it’s not Russia. I will say this: I don’t see any reason why it would be"

So in this case, certianly, what I was reading was most definitely what I was seeing. And what I am still reading about Trump doing, and saying, is definitely actually what he is doing and saying. And it simply confirms his Helsinki comments - he believes Putin (for whatever reason) and puts Putin (for whatever reason) above US concerns.

As Musk recently said, "Believe what you see, not what they your told". I don't believe anything they tell us, so there's that.

"We were promised that a rising tide would lift all boats. A rising tide has lifted all yachts
In a 2012 interview with Charlie Rose, Buffett didn't hold back on the growing wealth gap. "We were promised that a rising tide would lift all boats. A rising tide has lifted all yachts." His point? The economy may have grown, but the benefits didn't trickle down the way Americans were told they would. The ultra-wealthy got richer, while everyday workers were left treading water. And for Buffett, that's the real problem.

The rise in wealth gap is a natural consequence of some economics.

Suppose two people have investment in the stock market... Tesla for example.

Person 1 has 100,000 invested.
Person 2 has 1,000,000 invested.

When the stock price rises (say 10% for example), then
Person 1 has 110,000.
Person 2 has 1,100,000.

The wealth gap widens.

The stock market has generally grown to historic highs.
It generally does not trend down but when it does, the wealth gap shrinks.

I think that you have a valid point.

Perhaps you can write to Warren Buffett, he may not be aware of what you shared and I'd be interested in knowing if he writes back. I think there is a good chance that he may. He's that kinda guy.
