It hit me like that also, partially because I always ordered extra crispy 😂

On a side note, it's sad what happened to KFC. They didn't go down hill. They hit a point and flew down hill on a rocket sled. They use to be awesome.

I've had lightning strike literally 15 yards away from me while in NC. You could honestly call it a 'significant emotional event'. You can even feel the electrical energy before it strikes.

I can absolutely understand that. Such raw power, it's no wonder Zeus throws lightning bolts.

I've had one hit about 500 yards from my position and it was absolutely incredible, the thunder clap was physically felt. It was a significant experience.

The theme of the Kodak story could be said to MTG.
She admits to missing page 278-279 of the OBBB,
where it orders a hands off on state's rights to
AI governance for 10 years. This could have been
avoided by using AI to analyse the 1,000 page bill.

Also, some believe The Arc of the Covenant was a
capacitor that defeated enemies with lightening bolts.

Assuming you were serious…

Guy doesn’t know how to use a chainsaw and probably claimed on his job application that he had extensive experience in tree work. I like the “dear, oh dear” from the guy off-camera (probably his boss) as he encounters all the chainsaws stuck in the tree. Poor guy finally resorted to trying to break up the tree with an axe, and, when he saw his boss, quit rather than being fired.

Oh what a web we weave when first we practice to deceive

Interesting connections! The Kodak story is definitely about how missing or ignoring a key innovation can have huge consequences—just like missing important details in legislation can shape the future in unexpected ways. Whether it’s a company overlooking digital cameras or lawmakers missing a clause about AI governance, the lesson is that staying alert to change is crucial. I don't think her oversight was an accident. The Government always likes staying 50 years ahead of the private sector. For instance back in the late 90 while most people were still using a 58k dial up connection. The Government could upload and download from satellite to any one of their systems at 100 GB a second.

BTW, I misquoted that line from a poem. It’s actually, “What a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive.”

I thought it was from Shakespeare but it’s from Sir Walter Scott

From AI…

<<The phrase "What a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive" is a well-known quote from Sir Walter Scott's poem Marmion. It means that when someone lies or deceives, they create a complex and difficult situation for themselves, making it harder to escape the consequences of their actions. The phrase highlights the domino effect of dishonesty, where one lie can lead to a series of complications.>>

That is an outstanding observation!!! Thank you. I hadn't thought of that and I believe you are correct.

That video just made my eyes glaze over. I couldn't wrap my head around it.

It is pretty confusing as to why that guy had so many chainsaws to begin with, unless the truck normally carries that many.

The AI legislation has been sensationalized to imply
AI will have no governance. This is not the case.
The bill restricts the states so that a uniform national
AI governance code can be shaped and adopted.
This will avoid a patchwork of 50+ different sets of
regulations.

That was obviously staged. There's no way he could have so many expensive chainsaws yet have no peaveys and no concept of mid-span bracing much less how to use a wedge.
