Why more American Christians aren’t interested in the Rapture…

Interesting theory on the Rapture taking place during “The Feast of Trumpets,” also known as Rosh Hashanah, an annual Biblical Feast observed by Jews.

Very interesting passage in this video from 14:30 to 16:50, which explains why Jesus said only God the Father knows the date of Jesus’ return.

This video is a few years old (despite the labeling) so it gives incorrect dates for the Feast of Trumpets and doesn’t take into account that a Feast of Trumpets’ Rapture in 2024 would appear to exceed prophetic deadlines. The Feast of Trumpets this year is from sunset on Oct. 2 through nightfall on Oct. 4.

I first realized this video was a few years old when the speaker said we’re in the Jewish year 5781 when we’re actually in the Jewish year 5784. (The numbers 57 and 84 have non-Biblical significance to me.)

Despite this video being dated, it’s still an interesting theory.

Great video by a Christian (Medic4Christ) on his struggles as a Christian, why God chooses “broken vessels” to deliver His message, how (unbeknownst to him) a sister in Christ had prayed last fall for God to deliver a word to him when the Rapture was close, and how we may receive our glorified bodies a short time before the Rapture (similar to Jesus receiving His glorified body 40 days before His ascension to Heaven.)

I really like this guy’s authenticity, honesty, eloquence and knowledge of the Bible.

This is interesting…

The first month of the Jewish religious year is Nisan, which falls this year on April 8/9 on the Gregorian calendar.

<<Rosh Chodesh Nisan 2024 / רֹאשׁ חוֹדֶשׁ נִיסָן 5784
Start of month of Nisan on the Hebrew calendar 🌒
Rosh Chodesh Nisan for Hebrew Year 5784 begins at sundown on Monday, 8 April 2024 and ends at nightfall on Tuesday, 9 April 2024.

Start of month of Nisan on the Hebrew calendar. נִיסָן (transliterated Nisan or Nissan) is the 1st month of the Hebrew year, has 30 days, and corresponds to March or April on the Gregorian calendar. רֹאשׁ חוֹדֶשׁ, transliterated Rosh Chodesh or Rosh Hodesh, is a minor holiday that occurs at the beginning of every month in the Hebrew calendar. It is marked by the birth of a new moon.>>

If you type into Google, “When is Nisan 1, 2024” you get the double-bracketed post above.

Also occurring on April 8 (a few hours prior to Nisan 1) is a total solar eclipse.

<<On April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will cross North America, passing over Mexico, the United States, and Canada. A total solar eclipse happens when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth, completely blocking the face of the Sun. The sky will darken as if it were dawn or dusk.>>

science.nasa.gov

And before I knew the significance of April 8, I had a dream (probably four or five days ago) in which I had gifts that three men wanted. I didn’t think I had enough gifts for all three men so I said (in my dream) that I would think of a number between 1 and 10 and whoever guessed closest could have the gifts. The number I thought of was 8, and all three men said the number 4. Their choosing 4 and my number of 8 could be arranged as 4/8.

I’m not a “watcher” or a “date setter” and am mostly posting this in response to several people on here who mocked me for saying I thought the Berisheet Passover Prophecy, which predicted the Rapture would take place in 2023, sounded credible.

At the time, I knew nothing about calendars other than the Gregorian calendar in use today. I later learned the Julian calendar was in use when the New Testament was written, but the Julian calendar wasn’t the religious calendar used by Jews. And Jesus Christ, His disciples and early Christians were Jews.

Complicating matters is, while Nisan is the first month of the Jewish religious calendar, the year changes in the seventh month (known as Tishrei.) So we’re currently in year 5784 on the Jewish religious calendar, and 5785 starts on Oct. 3, 2024.

Not gonna mention calendars beyond this post, but the Berisheet Passover Prophecy’s prediction of a 2023 Rapture was based on Jesus Christ being crucified in 30 A.D. Then, a 2,000-year church age would take us to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ in 2030. When you subtract seven years for the Tribulation, you get the Rapture in 2023 (assuming the Rapture is pre-Tribulation.)

However, some believe (apparently with good reason) that Jesus Christ was actually crucified in 33 A.D. That would mean the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, after a 2,000-year church age, would be in 2033. Subtract seven years for the Tribulation, and you get the Rapture in 2026. Nothing I’m aware of, though, says the Rapture has to immediately precede the Tribulation.

Check this out…

<<Proponents of AD 30 as the year of Jesus' death calculate that he was born the year that Herod died, was thirty years of age when baptized, and taught for three years. Adding thirty-three years to 4 BC (and subtracting a year to allow for the fact there is no AD 0) yields the desired date. Moreover, such a chronology assumes (perhaps with the example of Herod the Great in mind) that Tiberius had begun to rule in AD 12, when he was awarded imperium to "govern the provinces jointly with Augustus" (Suetonius, Life of Tiberius, XXI.1; Velleius Paterculus, The Roman History, II.121.1-2). By this reckoning, Jesus, who was baptized "in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar" (Luke 3:1), would have begun his public ministry in AD 27, dying three years later.

But there is no evidence, neither historical nor numismatical, that Tiberius ever did rule as co-regent; rather, he succeeded Augustus as emperor in AD 14 (Tacitus, Annals, I.5, Suetonius, Life of Tiberius, XXIV.2; Dio, Roman History, LVI.30.5). The baptism of Jesus fifteen years later would have been in AD 29—again, too late for him to have been crucified the following year.

Jesus therefore died on Friday, April 3, AD 33 at about 3 p.m., a few hours before the beginning of Passover day and the Sabbath. This is the date in the Julian calendar, which had been introduced in 45 BC, and follows the convention that historical dates adhere to the calendar in use at the time. If, instead, the current Gregorian calendar were retroactively extended to a date prior to its introduction in 1582 (or 1752, when it was adopted by the United States and United Kingdom), such a proleptic date would be different (i.e., a date retroactively calculated using a later calendar).>>

penelope.uchicago.edu

This is where it gets more confusing…

<<The equivalent Jewish date for the death of Jesus is Nisan 14, 3793 anno mundi ("in the year of the world"), which is computed by adding 3761 to AD 33 and subtracting a year. In the Jewish calendar, AM 1 (or 3761 BC, its proleptic Julian date) is the traditional year of creation (a year before Adam and Eve themselves were created)—as determined by the sage Halafta, who used only the chronology of the Bible as his authority, and codified by the twelfth-century scholar Maimonides a millennium later.>>

penelope.uchicago.edu

So if Jesus was crucified in 3793 on the Jewish religious calendar and we add 2,000 years for the church age, it would appear we get the Second Coming of Jesus Christ in 5793 on the Jewish calendar. Subtract seven years for the Tribulation, and it would put the Rapture in 5786 on the Jewish Calendar. We’re currently in 5784, and the year changes to 5785 on Oct. 3, 2024.

So the Berisheet Passover Prophecy’s prediction of a 2023 Rapture was really contingent on Jesus Christ’s crucifixion taking place in 30 A.D., when some sources say the date was in 33 A.D.

Anyway, I don’t know the year Jesus Christ was crucified, but I knew years ago a dispute existed over whether it was in 30 A.D. or 33 A.D. Should have remembered that when I saw the Berisheet Passover Prophecy was basing its prediction of the Rapture in 2023 off the earlier year.

Should mention I didn’t read the entire article I quoted from. Too long for a subject (calendars) I’m not that interested in.

09-Feb-24, 20:50

IMO, if one is basing the year of the Rapture on a 2,000-year church age, it’d appear best to use the same calendar for Jesus Christ’s crucifixion and His anticipated Second Coming.

For that reason, I’d be inclined to use the Jewish religious calendar, which, according to the above article, has Jesus’ crucifixion in the Jewish year 3793. Add 2,000 years for the church age and then subtract seven years for the Tribulation, and you get the Rapture in the Jewish year 5786.

A Google search says the Jewish year 5786 starts (on our Gregorian calendar) on March 19, 2026 and ends on April 8, 2027.

But the Rapture falling in between those dates assumes…

• Jesus Christ was crucified in the Jewish year 3793.

• Jesus Christ’s Second Coming will be 2,000 years after His crucifixion.

• The Rapture will not only be a pre-Tribulation Rapture but will take place immediately before (and not months or years before) the seven-year Tribulation.

• Other prophetic deadlines are able to accommodate the 3/19/26 to 4/8/27 timeframe.

• This extensively detailed Google document, which I referenced previously and which argues that the prophetic deadline for the Rapture is May 10, 2024, is incorrect. This document assumes Jesus was crucified in 30 A.D.

Here’s a quote from the Google document…

<<🙏May 10th is the TRUE NISAN 1 (The 1st day of the 1st month of the new Jewish year). The Rapture and the start of The 7 Year Tribulation must occur on or before this day in order to meet the prophecies of the Fig Tree generation and the 2,000 year return of Jesus.>>

docs.google.com

I won’t get into why the author of that document believes Jesus’ crucifixion took place in 30 A.D. but the 2,000-year return of Christ is still possible. I think it involves jumping back and forth between calendars and I honestly don’t have enough interest to figure it out.

“And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;

And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:

For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?”

Pastor Jimmy Evans on the Raptures (plural) described by Jesus Christ in Matthew 24 - one before the Tribulation and the other after the Tribulation.

youtu.be

Video is 22:04

Here are verses in which Jesus describes the pre-Tribulation Rapture…

“But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.”

(Matthew 24:37-42)

And here are verses in which Jesus talks about the post-Tribulation Rapture (of people who became believers during the Tribulation and either survived or died in the Tribulation…)

“For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.”

(Matthew 24:27-31)

Pastor Evans says verses 1 through 31 in Matthew 24 are in chronological order.

But, beginning at verse 32, the timeframe shifts backwards, which is why the post-Tribulation Rapture is mentioned first.

I’ve known of the post-Tribulation Rapture for quite a while but never considered it to be a Rapture, though it does bear resemblance to the pre-Tribulation Rapture.

Some of the differences, though, are…

• No man knows when the pre-Tribulation Rapture will take place. The timing of the post-Tribulation Rapture can be predicted (based on the seven-year length of the Tribulation.)

• The pre-Tribulation Rapture takes place when everything on earth is proceeding normally or business-as-usual. That’s not at all the case for the post-Tribulation Rapture.

• Jesus Christ descends from Heaven to collect believers in the pre-Tribulation Rapture. Angels collect believers in the post-Tribulation Rapture.

Even non-Messianic Jews are saying the Messiah’s arrival is imminent…

“When Gaza Falls... The Messiah Will Come”

youtu.be

Video is 4:17

Yes, I realize non-Messianic Jews do not believe Jesus Christ is the Messiah. But the fact they are expecting the Messiah to arrive any day now is interesting, as Christians who believe in a pre-Tribulation Rapture are expecting this also.

I guess the difference in beliefs between non-Messianic Jews and Christians/Messianic Jews is the identity of the Messiah and what will happen when He arrives.

I saw in the comments under this video that people want this prophecy linking the Messiah’s arrival to when Gaza falls (apparently made 100 years ago) to be documented or shown.

All of the prophecies related to the Rapture and Jesus Christ’s Second Coming are in the Bible. Not sure which book (if any) contains the prophecy linking the Messiah’s arrival to the fall of Gaza.

Apologetics London, one of the YouTube channels I subscribe to, asked this question about an hour ago…

What do you think this prophecy means?

“Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that it shall no more be said, The Lord liveth, that brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;

But, The Lord liveth, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the lands whither he had driven them: and I will bring them again into their land that I gave unto their fathers.

Behold, I will send for many fishers, saith the Lord, and they shall fish them; and after will I send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain, and from every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks.

For mine eyes are upon all their ways: they are not hid from my face, neither is their iniquity hid from mine eyes.

And first I will recompense their iniquity and their sin double; because they have defiled my land, they have filled mine inheritance with the carcases of their detestable and abominable things.”

Israel became a nation in 1948, and evangelists are in Israel (I know ‘cause I post from their YouTube channels.) The Tribulation hasn’t started yet, but because most Jews reject Jesus Christ as their Messiah, they’ll go through it, according to the Bible. The good news is many Jews will be saved in the Tribulation.

I won’t go into reasons why the 4/8/24 solar eclipse is considered a high watch date for the Rapture ‘cause I’m not a date setter but the info isn’t hard to find on YouTube.

I will say, though, that April 8 is a new moon, and when you map the solar eclipse path in August 2017 (the most recent solar eclipse to span the United States from coast to coast) and then map the upcoming April 8 solar eclipse path, you get a huge X across America.

Carol Vey on mockers and scoffers…

“No Rapture?”

youtu.be

Video is 23:11

From the video description:

<<The scoffers are out in full force in these end days. Not only disputing the timing of the rapture, but claiming there is no rapture spoken about in The Bible. Although we see many Biblical scriptures pointing to the pre-tribulation Rapture of The Church, many confuse the rapture with the second coming, saying that this doctrine was not “invented” until the 1800’s. Those claiming this didn’t research far, because in addition to the Biblical Scripture, we see writings as early as the first two centuries AD. “Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.” (Luke 21:28).>>

I first heard about the Rapture in the first quarter of 2023. None of the churches I attended over the years mentioned it (or any part of the End Times) and I even read the Bible without discovering it. I was enlightened to it in God’s timing and now see it clear as day in the Bible.

I hear you. I believe every Christian goes in the Rapture based on what the Apostle Paul wrote in 1 Thessalonians 4…

“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”

(1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)

Seems the only qualification is for a believer to be alive and remain.

Dana Rankin, who’s a Christian YouTuber, told an interesting story of when she was married and a believer but her husband wasn’t a believer. She said if her husband woke up and she wasn’t in bed, he thought the Rapture might have happened. He later got saved.

I think the sudden disappearance of tens of millions (if not hundreds of millions) of people will have to be all over the news.

Will likely be explained as extraterrestrials removing Christians because the Christians weren’t enlightened enough to receive the extraterrestrials’ wisdom and teachings while those still on earth are. And many will believe it.

Nothing like appealing to man’s vanity.

Not so much about the Rapture as interesting parallel verses in Isaiah 66, which I handwrote today, and Revelation 21. The book of Isaiah was written about 700 B.C. while Revelation was written around 90 A.D.

“For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the Lord, so shall your seed and your name remain.”

(Isaiah 66:22)

“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.”

(Revelation 21:1-5)

I used to think mention of the new Heaven and new earth was confined to Revelation, but they’re mentioned several times in the Scriptures, including in the Old Testament as this commentary shows…

<<b. A new heaven and a new earth: The idea of a new earth, with a new atmosphere and sky is a familiar theme in the Scriptures. Many of the prophets, both Old and New Testaments, spoke of this new heaven and new earth.

i. For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; and the former shall not be remembered or come to mind. But be glad and rejoice forever in what I create; for behold, I create a Jerusalem as a rejoicing, and her people a joy. (Isaiah 65:17-18)

ii. Of old, You laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of Your hands. They will perish, but You will endure; yes all of them will grow old like a garment, like a cloak You will change them, and they will be changed. But You are the same, and Your years will have no end. (Psalm 102:25-27)

iii. Looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat… Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for a new heaven and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. (2 Peter 3:12-13)

iv. It’s worth remembering that the new heaven referred to doesn’t mean the heaven where God is enthroned. The Bible uses the word heaven in three senses. The first heaven is the earth’s atmosphere, the “blue sky.” The second heaven is outer space, the “night sky.” The third heaven is the place where God lives in glory. When the Scriptures speak of a new heaven, they mean a new “blue sky” and a new “night sky,” not a new heaven where God dwells.

c. New heaven… new earth: The ancient Greek word translated new here (kaine) means “new in character, ‘fresh’.” It doesn’t mean “recent” or “new in time.” This isn’t just the next heaven and the next earth; this is the better heaven and better earth replacing the old (the first earth had passed away).

i. Though some disagree (such as Seiss, who argued passionately that this earth will never be destroyed) we should understand that this is truly a new heaven and a new earth, not merely a “remade” heaven and earth. We know this because Jesus said that heaven and earth shall pass away, but His Word would live forever (Luke 21:33). Also, in Isaiah 65:17 God said prophetically that He will create a new heaven and earth, and the ancient Hebrew word for “create” (bara) means to “create out of nothing,” instead of re-fashioning existing material.

ii. Some take this “newness” as only a spiritual and moral change. But there seems to be a genuine physical transformation in mind: there was no more sea.

d. A new heaven and a new earth: Is this new heaven and new earth the Millennial earth shown in Revelation 20, or is it something beyond? It definitely seems to be past the Millennial earth. This is what we think of as “heaven” and “eternity.”

i. “In this chapter we see that the history of time is finished; the history of eternity is about to begin.” (Barnhouse)

ii. “The eternal state is clearly indicated in the absence of sea, for frequent mention of bodies of water occur in millennial passages (cf. Psalm 72:8; Isaiah 11:9, 11; Ezekiel 47:10, 15, 17, 18, 20; 48:28; Zechariah 9:10; 14:8). The evidence of Revelation 21:1 is so specific that most commentators do not question that the eternal state is in view.” (Walvoord)>>

enduringword.com

So the new Heaven and new earth are the end of the End Times (according to this commentary.)

This is the order of End Times events according to gotquestions.org…

1. The rapture of the church. Christ comes in the clouds to “snatch away” all those who trust in Him (1 Corinthians 15:52). At this same time, the “dead in Christ” will be resurrected and taken to heaven, too. From our perspective today, this is the next event in the eschatological timeline. The rapture is imminent; no other biblical prophecy needs to be fulfilled before the rapture happens.

2. The rise of the Antichrist. After the church is taken out of the way (2 Thessalonians 2:7–8), a satanically empowered man will gain worldwide control with promises of peace (Revelation 13:1; Daniel 9:27). He will be aided by another man, called the false prophet, who heads up a religious system that requires worship of the Antichrist (Revelation 19:20).

3. The tribulation. A period of seven years in which God’s judgment is poured out on sinful humanity (Revelation 6–16). The Antichrist’s rise to power is associated with this time period. During the tribulation on earth, the Church will be in heaven. It is thought that at this time the Judgment Seat of Christ and the Marriage Supper of the Lamb will occur in heaven (2 Corinthians 5:10; Revelation 19:6–10).

4. The Battle of Gog and Magog. In the first part of the tribulation, a great army from the north, in alliance with several other countries from the Middle East and Africa, attacks Israel and is defeated by God’s supernatural intervention (Ezekiel 38–39). (Some commentators place this battle just before the start of the tribulation.)

5. The abomination of desolation. At the midway point of the seven-year tribulation, the Antichrist breaks his covenant with Israel and shows his true colors. The Jews are scattered, and many of them turn to the Lord, realizing that Jesus is their Savior. A great persecution breaks out against all those who believe in Christ (Daniel 12:11; Mark 13:14; Revelation 12:17).

6. The Battle of Armageddon. At the end of the tribulation, Jesus returns with the armies of heaven (Mark 14:62). He saves Jerusalem from annihilation and defeats the armies of the nations fighting under the banner of the Antichrist (Revelation 19:11–21). The Antichrist and the false prophet are captured and thrown alive into the lake of fire (Revelation 19:20).

7. The judgment of the nations. Christ will judge the survivors of the tribulation, separating the righteous from the wicked as “sheep” and “goats” (Matthew 25:31–46). (It is thought that at this time the Old Testament saints will be raised from the dead.) The righteous will enter the Millennial Kingdom; the wicked will be cast into hell.

8. The binding of Satan. Satan will be bound and held in a bottomless pit for the next 1,000 years (Revelation 20:1–3).

9. The Millennial Kingdom. Jesus Himself will rule the world, and Jerusalem will be the capital. This will be a 1,000-year period of peace and prosperity on earth (Revelation 20; Isaiah 60–62). Memorial sacrifices will be offered in a rebuilt temple in Jerusalem (Ezekiel 40–48).

10. The last battle. At the end of the 1,000 years, Satan will be released from his prison for a short time. He will deceive the nations once again, and there will be a rebellion against the Lord that will be quickly defeated (Revelation 20:7–10). Satan will be cast into the lake of fire, never to reappear.

11. The Great White Throne Judgment. All those in hell will be brought forth, and all the wicked from all eras of history will be resurrected to stand before God in a final judgment (Revelation 20:11–15). The verdicts are read, and all of sinful humanity is cast into the lake of fire.

12. The new creation. God completely remakes the heavens and the earth. It is at this time that God wipes away all tears and there will be no more pain, death, or sorrow. The New Jerusalem descends from heaven, and the children of God will enjoy eternity with Him (Revelation 21–22).

Great video…

(First video I’ve seen by this guy)

“Apologies to our friends and families about all the RAPTURE hype.”

From the video description…

<<You are seeing this video because someone on this Earth cares deeply for your eternal soul. Somebody LOVES YOU enough to be this annoying😁>>

On prior statements the Rapture was only hours or days away based on signs in the Heavens and End Times signs in the Bible…

“The truth is we weren’t wrong. We were just early. And I am so very sorry, we all are so very sorry that we’re not sorry we did this, that we heard the unction from the Holy Spirit, and we were obedient, and we went out preaching what we knew: The end is coming, the end is near, the Rapture is near. We did the best we can, and because of it, millions and millions of people have come to trust in the blood of Jesus Christ as their atonement to bring … them back to God by the blood of Jesus Christ.”

On the upcoming April 8 eclipse whose path, combined with the August 2017 eclipse, forms a giant X across America…

“America is currently the most Christian nation. And America is found nowhere in End Time prophecy. So we believe with the Rapture and the escape of all those who believe on the blood of Jesus Christ to wash away their sins will decimate America, and shortly after, America will fall into complete control of other nations.”

Tells you how to get saved - both before the Rapture and during the Tribulation (for unbelievers who are left behind.) It’s a lot easier to get saved before the Rapture.

Great video by Medic4Christ that explains what Jesus Christ meant in this verse referring to the Rapture…

“Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.”

(Luke 21:36)

…and what the Apostle Paul meant in this verse when he referred to believers as a “chaste virgin.”

“For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.”

(2 Corinthians 11:2)

Good quotes on what it means to be worthy (not committing spiritual adultery.) Moses here is a representation of the law…

“Being worthy, being a virgin, a chaste virgin, is not about moral perfection. It’s about faith. It’s about trust. What are you trusting in? Who are you trusting in? Is it the right Jesus, the right Spirit and the right Gospel? Those are the things that Paul links in this passage to being declared a chaste virgin.

“Are you married to your husband or are you married to Moses? Are you trying to date Moses while you’re married to Jesus? Romans chapter 7 says you must die to the law so that you can marry Jesus … You can’t marry Jesus if you’re still alive to the law.”

“If you’re under the law and you try to marry Jesus, you’re committing adultery. If you die to the law and you marry Jesus but you’re flirting with Moses, you’re committing adultery.

Understand then that what it means to be a virgin is not moral perfection, but it’s faith. Trust. Abiding in the true vine.”

Just my opinion…

Great video, but Medic4Christ should have been clearer in that Abraham never sacrificed his son Isaac. It was a test. And God stopped Abraham from doing it once it was clear Abraham intended to. I know Medic4Christ knows this, but it went unsaid.

But that absolutely was a foreshadowing of Jesus Christ’s sacrifice on the cross, which was not stopped.

Good update from a guy whose YouTube videos I haven’t posted before…

Talks briefly about the red heifer and the Jews‘ plan to build a third temple (after their second temple was destroyed by the Romans in 70 A.D.)

Maybe I’m missing something, but isn’t the building of a third temple and reinstituting the sacrifice of animals to atone for sins a huge slap in the face to God? It seems like they’re saying Jesus Christ’s sacrifice on the cross in 30 A.D. (or 31 A.D. or 33 A.D.) was meaningless and they need to go back to the Old Testament and Old Covenant where they sacrificed animals to atone for sins.

But, like I said, maybe I’m missing something. I do know that some Jews are expecting the Messiah to arrive when Gaza falls, but they do not think the Messiah is Jesus Christ (did they not read Daniel 9:24-27 and all the other Messianic prophecies in the Old Testament?)

Maybe they view the sacrifice of the red heifer as a way to cleanse themselves before the Messiah’s arrival.

One thing I do agree with that the guy who made this video mentioned: This can’t go on much longer. I remember reading an interesting short story in middle school entitled “Everything That Rises Must Converge” and I feel that title (not the short story) is a good statement of what’s happening now.

I’ll be greatly surprised if people are still talking about an impending Rapture in the fall. And I think what’s coming is going to take a lot of people by surprise.

More on the red heifer and its importance in End Times prophecy from Gigi (blue Heaven)

RED HEIFER AND RAPTURE

youtu.be

Video is 9:13

“You can just see everything set up. The stage is set. You’d have to literally be completely ignorant to not see all the puzzle pieces are on the table right now for the End Times and for the Rapture because … all of this has to be done for the Second Coming of Christ. But we know that there’s a Rapture too .. we’re not going to be here for Jacob’s trouble because it’s for Israel; Jacob means Israel.

And so what I’m saying is that there’s a real possibility, it would make sense to me if the bride of Christ leaves before these red heifers are sacrificed because it’s very symbolic of the beginning of the seven years of Jacob’s trouble. There’s something about this sacrifice that I … feel like why would we be here for that? It is an abomination.

It’s kind of like they’re declaring on the earth the beginning of this real hardcore worship of the wrong Messiah [the Antichrist, whom the Jews mistake for the Messiah.] They’re welcoming in the Antichrist. This is very, very, very, this is big.

If they’re going to do this on the 29th or 30th [of March], and I keep seeing the 28th. I’m thinking … we should not be here for that. It doesn’t make sense that we should be here for that.”

More on the red heifers and planned third temple…

“The unlikely role red cows play in war between Israel and Hamas”

youtu.be

Video is 5:08

Hamas saw the arrival of red heifers in Israel as a provocation because the red heifers’ sacrifice is apparently needed before the Jews can begin constructing a third temple (the Jews haven’t had a temple in Jerusalem since the second temple was destroyed by the Romans in 70 A.D.)

But the apparent proposed site of the third temple is a Muslim holy site known as the Dome of the Rock (where the second temple used to stand.)

<<The building of a third temple by the Jews on the Temple Mount is currently shrouded in uncertainty and is a focal point of Arab-Israeli conflict. An Islamic shrine called the Dome of the Rock currently sits on the site of the second temple. Another Islamic structure, the Al-Aqsa Mosque, also sits on the Temple Mount.

Although the area has been controlled by Israel since 1967, the administration of the site is under Jordanian custodianship, and Arabs vehemently oppose any building of a Jewish temple on this historic location. Muslims call the mount al-Haram al-Sharif, meaning “Noble Sanctuary,” and believe that it is the site from which Muhammad went to heaven.

While it is possible that the Jews will build another temple before the return of Christ (there are already people dedicated to fulfilling this expectation), it is also possible that the Jews will begin offering sacrifices on an altar without building a temple, as was done prior to the construction of the second temple (Ezra 3:1-6).>>

lifehopeandtruth.com

Biblical prophecy says the Antichrist will broker a deal whereby Jews can build a third temple.

<<While the Temple Movement continues to prepare for the rebuilding of the Temple, most understand that some political action must take place to reverse the present situation of control of the Mount by Muslims, in order to allow for Jewish access.

This currently may be in process. Concerning the site, Israel’s Supreme Court has stated in its ruling Opinion on the Issue of the Works on the Temple Mount, “The reality on the Temple Mount…is by no means simple. It is extremely delicate and complicated…This is one of those cases in which a judicial ruling is not the reasonable way to decide the dispute, and a decision of this kind goes beyond the boundaries of the law. It is the political echelon, and not the court…that must give content and meaning to the historical call: ‘The Temple Mount is ours’.” In other words, this must be a political, not legal, action.

Those who understand Daniel’s prophecy of the seventieth week (Daniel 9:27) know that it is a future political leader, the Antichrist of Revelation 13, who will one day make a deceptive covenant with the Jewish leaders, leading to the rebuilding of the Third Temple.

How might this happen? One possibility was found in an academic book on the politics of the Temple Mount: “Given the emphasis upon the international community’s interest in the sites, under the concept of heritage of humankind, representatives from the international community need to be included as mediators and guarantors. These would likely come from the United Nations (UNESCO) and drawn from regional powers such as the Arab League, NATO, or interested states such as the U.S., the E.U., and Russia…Any proposed legal regime will require interfaith cooperation composed of religious leaders from the region. It may be supplemented by international religious leaders who may serve as mediators.

Those who seek to understand biblical prophecy know that the Antichrist will be followed by both political and religious leaders, making this kind of proposal a reality.

It is exciting to see these developments unfold in the Land of Israel regarding the building of a Third Temple as we eagerly watch for the second coming of our Messiah!>>

www.jewishvoice.org

Biblical prophecy also says Christians will be Raptured before the Antichrist is on the scene and publicly known.

When believers in Thessalonica were worried that they had missed the Rapture and were in the Tribulation (the church was undergoing tremendous persecution at the time,) the Apostle Paul assured them that they hadn’t missed the Rapture because the Tribulation hadn’t started.

“Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.

For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:”

(2 Thessalonians 2:3-8)

I believe “that day” that Paul refers to in verse 3 is the Day of the Lord (or Tribulation) and that the “falling away” refers to people leaving Christianity and “the man of sin” is the Antichrist.

I believe this verse - “And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.” - refers to believers and the Holy Spirit working in them and in the world preventing the Antichrist from coming to power.

And I believe this Scripture - “only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

And then shall that Wicked be revealed,” - refers to Christians’ removal from the earth via the Rapture and the Antichrist being revealed.

I think that’s a very significant event, though.

“Ep.82 Update of the Red Heifer Sacrifice in Israel!”

youtube.com

Video is 58 seconds

I have no idea when the red heifer might be sacrificed. Two Rapture watchers have said March 29 and March 30; this guy says anytime between now and Passover at the end of April. I can understand why the date, if it’s been set, is somewhat shrouded in secrecy.

I have heard the Israeli government is opposed to the red heifer sacrifice, probably for the reason stated in this video - that sends a clear signal to Muslims that Jews are going to begin construction of their Third Temple on the Temple Mount, which is now the site of the Dome of the Rock, the most sacred place in Islam.

And apparently the arrival of red heifers in Israel (from Texas) is one of the reasons for Hamas’ terrorist attack against Israel on Oct. 7. Multiple red heifers were sent to Israel in case one or more was found to be defective (had hairs that were not red.)

Why would Jews sacrifice a red heifer knowing the fury that’s going to result from it? They believe God will protect them. And I do too.

I put this video in the Rapture thread because I think the red heifer’s sacrifice could be a trigger for the Rapture.

I’m going to post a couple of articles on the red heifers later today in this thread, the Good Lord willing.

Still reading up on the red heifers.

I was curious why the Third Temple had to be built on the Temple Mount (and not somewhere else in Jerusalem) and learned the First Temple, which stood from around 1,000 B.C. to 586 B.C., and Second Temple, which stood from about 515 B.C. to 70 A.D., had both been built on the Temple Mount.

According to various sources, the 35-acre Temple Mount was also the site where Abraham had gone to sacrifice his son Isaac, which God stopped after it was clear Abraham was going to go through with it, and was where God created the first man.

<<Jewish tradition holds that it is the site where God gathered the dust to create Adam and where Abraham nearly sacrificed his son Isaac to prove his faith.>>

www.smithsonianmag.com.

And King David received a prophetic word to build the First Temple on the Temple Mount.

“Then the angel of the Lord commanded Gad to say to David, that David should go up, and set up an altar unto the Lord in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.

And David went up at the saying of Gad, which he spake in the name of the Lord.

And Ornan turned back, and saw the angel; and his four sons with him hid themselves. Now Ornan was threshing wheat.

And as David came to Ornan, Ornan looked and saw David, and went out of the threshingfloor, and bowed himself to David with his face to the ground.

Then David said to Ornan, Grant me the place of this threshingfloor, that I may build an altar therein unto the Lord: thou shalt grant it me for the full price: that the plague may be stayed from the people.

And Ornan said unto David, Take it to thee, and let my lord the king do that which is good in his eyes: lo, I give thee the oxen also for burnt offerings, and the threshing instruments for wood, and the wheat for the meat offering; I give it all.

And king David said to Ornan, Nay; but I will verily buy it for the full price: for I will not take that which is thine for the Lord, nor offer burnt offerings without cost.

So David gave to Ornan for the place six hundred shekels of gold by weight.

And David built there an altar unto the Lord, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings, and called upon the Lord; and he answered him from heaven by fire upon the altar of burnt offering.

And the Lord commanded the angel; and he put up his sword again into the sheath thereof.

At that time when David saw that the Lord had answered him in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite, then he sacrificed there.

For the tabernacle of the Lord, which Moses made in the wilderness, and the altar of the burnt offering, were at that season in the high place at Gibeon.

But David could not go before it to enquire of God: for he was afraid because of the sword of the angel of the Lord.

Then David said, This is the house of the Lord God, and this is the altar of the burnt offering for Israel.

And David commanded to gather together the strangers that were in the land of Israel; and he set masons to hew wrought stones to build the house of God.”

(1 Chronicles 21:18-1 Chronicles 22:2)

The Temple Mount is especially significant to Christians because of what happened immediately after Jesus declared “It is finished” from the cross and physically died.

<<Remembering what happened on the day of His crucifixion, though, is the most powerful magnet drawing Christians to the Temple Mount.

In a physical feat only the mighty Hands of God could achieve, He tore in two the purple, scarlet, and blue veil/curtain (parochet) in the Temple when the Perfect Passover Lamb breathed His last breath on the tree. Luke 23:44-45 relates, “It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour, for the sun stopped shining. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two.”

Keep in mind, this massive curtain was 60 feet high, 30 feet wide, and four inches thick.

The curtain hid the Holy of Holies, God’s Court. Although the Ark of the Covenant and the Mercy Seat were not in the Second Temple, the Holy of Holies was treated the same. Jews viewed the Holy of Holies as the place of God’s Shekinah glory, the dwelling of His divine presence. Only the High Priest could enter the Holy of Holies, and he could do that just once a year on the Day of Atonement, Yom Kippur.

Throughout the centuries—from the movable Tabernacle in the desert, to Shiloh for 369 years, to the First and Second Temples—the Jewish people revered the Holy of Holies with a profound sense of awe, respect, and fear.

It is easy to imagine the priests’ terror when they saw the curtain rent in two. It was incomprehensible. Yet when God tore the veil in two, He welcomed us into the Holy of Holies through the blood of His Perfect Lamb so that we could step inside to fellowship with Him, both Gentile and Jew! Jesus’ substitutionary death for us, and God Himself tearing the veil, meant that we were no longer separated.

The physical rending of the curtain was certainly spectacular, and the result is eternal. Our repentance—recognizing His sacrifice and inviting the Lord Jesus to come into our hearts—bridged the impassable gap between Holy God the Father and us.”>>

m.jpost.com

So it looks like Jews aren’t planning to build the Third Temple on a site outside the Temple Mount.

Why does a Third Temple have to be built at all?

<<In the prophetic writings of the Book of Daniel and the Brit Chadashah (New Testament), we find significant details about the role of a rebuilt Temple in the end times.

Both Daniel and Yeshua (Jesus) tell us that the Anti-Messiah will defile the Third Temple before the return of the true Messiah.>>

<<The anti-Messiah will also proclaim himself to be God!

“He [the man of lawlessness] will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.” (2 Thess. 2:4)>>

free.messianicbible.com

This is a pretty good video where Repoman 64, a Rapture watcher, says the red heifer likely will be sacrificed on March 30, and he says that date was in an article, but he doesn’t cite the article. The red heifer sacrifice precedes construction of the Third Temple and likely will anger Muslims because the Dome of the Rock, apparently the most sacred site in Islam, is on the Temple Mount and was built around 600 years after the Jews’ Second Temple was destroyed by the Romans in 70 A.D.

Good overview on the importance of the red heifer sacrifice and how it could start a world war…

“Will a Red Heifer Cause Armageddon and what it means for Christians, Jews and Muslims - April 2024”

youtu.be

Video is 14:42

From the video description…

<<The Red Heifer prophesy is one that is being closely watched by Jews, Christians and Muslims all over the world. This is one of the few prophesies that impact all 3 of what is called the Abrahamic Religions (meaning the religions that all believe Abraham to be a prophet and progenitor of their religion).

In short, it is believed that when the Red Heifer is sacrificed it will usher in the last days and is one of the critical requirements prior to Christ’s second coming. But for each religion, it means something different. This video explores the background, history and what it means for the future of the world.

Some believe the prophesy will be fulfilled March 29, 2024 while others believe it will be fulfilled prior to Passover 2024 which is April 22, 2024.>>

This video mentions Jesus Christ’s Second Coming, but not the Rapture that precedes it. Seems odd because the Rapture is clearly separate from the Second Coming and a 7-year Tribulation is between when the Rapture happens and when the Second Coming of Christ happens.

Also, unless I misunderstood the narrator of this video, he said the Dome of the Rock (on the Temple Mount) is the third most sacred site in Islam. I thought it was the first.
