Video is 4:22

The info in that video regarding an attack on Russia’s nuclear ballistic missile early warning system appears to be accurate.

<<Strike On Russian Strategic Early Warning Radar Site Is A Big Deal

Satellite imagery confirms a Russian strategic early warning radar site in the southwestern end of the country was substantially damaged in a reported Ukrainian drone attack earlier this week. This looks to be a first-of-its-kind attack on a site linked to Russia's general strategic defense. As such, it points to a new and worrisome dimension to the conflict, especially when it comes to the potential use of nuclear weapons.

A satellite image taken on May 23 that The War Zone obtained from Planet Labs of the Armavir Radar Station in Russia's southwestern Krasnodar Krai shows significant debris around one of the site's two Voronezh-DM radar buildings. These are ultra-high-frequency (UHF) over-the-horizon (OTH) radars that are part of Russia's nuclear ballistic missile early warning system.

What can be seen in the satellite image aligns with pictures taken from ground level that emerged on social media earlier today, which show severe damage to both structures housing the Voronezh-DMs at Armavir. There is also clear evidence of multiple hits on the radar buildings. It is worth noting that radar arrays are generally very sensitive and fragile systems, and even relatively limited damage can result in a "mission kill," rendering them inoperable for an extended period of time.

The date the Planet Labs image was taken also aligns with initial reports that the attacks on Armavir occurred sometime between May 22 and May 23.

At the time of writing, Ukrainian authorities do not appear to have publicly claimed responsibility for the attack on Armavir. There also do not look to be any official statements from the Russian government. Ukrainian forces have targeted multiple locations within Krasnodar Krai, which lies just across the Sea of Azov, in the past using kamikaze drones.

There has been some speculation that Ukrainian forces may have targeted Armavir over concerns about the site's ability to help provide advance warning about its strikes involving U.S.-supplied Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) short-range ballistic missiles.>>

Check out these paragraphs…

<<Beyond that, it has been pointed out that the attack on Armavir could meet the conditions the Russian government laid out publicly in 2020 for actions that could trigger a nuclear retaliatory strike. Russia's early warning network is part of the country's broader nuclear deterrent posture.

"The conditions specifying the possibility of nuclear weapons use by the Russian Federation" include any "attack by [an] adversary against critical governmental or military sites of the Russian Federation, disruption of which would undermine nuclear forces response actions," according to the Basic Principles of State Policy of the Russian Federation on Nuclear Deterrence the Kremlin put out two years ago.

All of this follows the start of tactical nuclear drills by Russian forces in the country's Southern Military District, which borders Ukraine, on Tuesday. The Russian Ministry of Defense had first announced the drills were coming earlier this month and said they were "in response to provocative statements and threats by certain Western officials against the Russian Federation." This appeared to be a reference to French President Emmanuel Macron saying that he would not rule out sending troops to Ukraine in the future.

The tactical nuclear drills had already reignited discussions about the potential thresholds for Russia's potential use of nuclear weapons in Ukraine, something The War Zone has explored in detail previously.

This is also just the latest Ukrainian attack on Russian territory to point to vulnerabilities in the country's air defense network, even around highly-prized strategic assets.

It very much remains to be seen how exactly Russia will respond to the attack on Armavir, which could potentially involve new nuclear signaling to authorities in Ukraine, as well as the foreign benefactors. Whether this attack is a sign of the start of a broader campaign on the part of Ukrainian forces to target strategic military sites with limited direct involvement in the ongoing conflict and significant importance to Russia's early warning and nuclear deterrent postures is also unclear.

Whatever the case, the Armavir will have significant ramifications and could be an indication that spillover from the war inside Ukraine is taking on a newly concerning form.>>

Have to figure the info in that video about the United Kingdom telling citizens to stock up on emergency supplies is accurate too.

I realize a lot of people sound like Chicken Little when it comes to the Rapture, but that’s not an event you tell people about 2 days before it happens. Some “watchers” on YouTube have been saying for 2+ years that the Rapture is imminent.

Getting saved after the Rapture is a lot harder than it is before the Rapture.

Great video by Tom Cote (Watchman River) who reads my favorite Psalm (Psalm 91,) reviews current events in the world and spends a good amount of time on the Gospel. It’s interesting how often “watchers” now talk about the Gospel and how much time they devote to it.

Very appropriate given the season we’re in, imo

Good post on the Rapture (but not on salvation, imo…)

<<Reading through Mark 13 multiple times this week reignites my interest in eschatology. That’s just a big word meaning the theology and doctrines of the last days.

As a follower of Jesus, I believe the Bible is clear that God has a plan for humanity that had a beginning and an end, and that this earth we live on will not last forever. Despite what humanism teaches, we are not going to evolve and improve and save the world.

If you care to read and believe, the Bible has lots to say about the end times. Not all of it is crystal clear, and there are different interpretations of how the end times will play out. One often-debated topic is the rapture of the church.

Theologians don’t agree on when it will happen, but I don’t think there’s any question from a straightforward, literal read of scripture that there will be a rapture. God will rescue His bride, the body of Christ, and take us to heaven.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 – But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.

In his commentary on 1 Thessalonians, John MacArthur presents several arguments in favor of a pre-Tribulation rapture. I’m sharing some excerpts (some paraphrased) with you today. I hope it whets your appetite to know more about what the Bible teaches on how our world will conclude, what that means for you, and the urgency of answering the call of God when you recognize the conviction of the Holy Spirit in your heart!

***

#1 – The earthly kingdom of Christ promised in Revelation 6-18 does not mention the church as being on earth. Because Revelation 1-3 uses the Greek word for church nineteen times, one would reasonably assume that if the church were on earth rather than in heaven in chapters 6-18, they would use “church” with similar frequency, but such is not the case. Therefore, one can assume that the church is not present on the earth during the period of tribulation described in Revelation 6-18 and that the Lord has removed it from the earth and relocated it to heaven by means of the Rapture.

#2 – Revelation 19 does not mention a Rapture, even though that is where a post-tribulation Rapture (if true) would logically occur. Thus, one can conclude that the Rapture would already have occurred.

#3 – A post-tribulation Rapture renders the rapture concept itself inconsequential. If God preserves the church during the Tribulation, then why have a Rapture at all? It makes no sense to rapture believers from earth to heaven for no apparent purpose other than to return them immediately with Christ to earth.

#4 – If God raptures and glorifies all believers just prior to the millennial kingdom, no one would be left to populate and propagate the earthly kingdom of Christ promised to Israel. Those the Lord saves during the Tribulation will enter the millennial kingdom in earthly form.

#5 – The New Testament does not warn of an impending tribulation, such as experienced during Daniel’s seventieth week, for church-age believers. It does warn of error and false prophets, against ungodly living, and of present tribulation. Thus it is incongruous that the NT would be silent concerning such a traumatic change as Daniel’s seventieth week if post-tribulationism were true.

#6 – Paul’s instructions to the Thessalonians demand a pretribulation Rapture because, if Paul were teaching them a post-tribulation view, one would expect them to rejoice that loved ones were home with the Lord and spared the horrors of the Tribulation. But, in actuality, the Thessalonians grieved. In addition, with post-tribulation teaching, one would expect them to sorrow over their own impending trial and inquire about their future doom; however, they expressed no such dread or questioning. Further, one might expect Paul to instruct and exhort them concerning such a supreme test as the Tribulation, but Paul wrote only about the hope of the Rapture.

#7 – The sequence of events at Christ’s coming following the Tribulation demands a pretribulation Rapture. For example:

• At the Rapture, Christ gathers His own, but at the Second Coming, angels gather the elect

• At the Rapture, Christ comes to reward believers, but at the Second Coming, Christ comes to judge the earth.

• At the Rapture, the Lord snatches away true believers from the earth, but at the Second Coming, He takes away unbelievers.

• At the Rapture, unbelievers remain on the earth, whereas at the Second Coming, believers remain on the earth.

• Concerning the Rapture, Scripture does not mention the establishment of Christ’s kingdom, but at His second coming, He sets up His kingdom.

• At the Rapture, believers will receive glorified bodies, whereas, at the Second Coming, no one will receive glorified bodies.

• MacArthur also quoted Thomas R. Edgar, who noted, “Deliverance from the tribulation before it starts agrees with God’s previous dealings with Noah and Lot.”

Will we ever know for sure when the Rapture will take place? Well, yes! When it happens! Until then, we ought to heed the words of Jesus as He warns us about the end-times events and how our world will conclude in Mark 13.

But take heed; behold, I have told you everything in advance (v. 23).

Even so, you too, when you see these things happening, recognize that He is near, right at the door (v. 29).

Take heed, keep on the alert, for you do not know when the appointed time will come. … Therefore, be on the alert – for you do not know when the master of the house is coming … in case he should come suddenly and find you asleep. What I say to you I say to all, “Be on the alert!” (v. 33-37)

Jesus is coming for all who have received the gift of salvation by grace, through faith. It could be today!

Have you received this gift?>>

Here’s the part (on salvation) that I disagree with…

<<Have you repented of your sin and asked God’s forgiveness, surrendering your life to His Lordship?>>

This is not Biblical and is at odds with the preceding two paragraphs that describe salvation as a gift obtained by God’s Grace. “Lordship salvation” is just another works-based Gospel.

Where in these famous verses from the Apostle John, one of three disciples who were in Jesus’ inner circle, do you see repenting of sins and surrendering your life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ as a requirement for salvation?

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”

(John 3:16-18)

Or in these verses where Jesus Christ talks about salvation…

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”

(John 5:24)

“Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:”

(John 11:25)

Believers ought to strive to live holy lives, but that’s not accomplished by the flesh (willpower or self-effort) but is accomplished by empowering God’s Holy Spirit, which indwells all believers.

And living a holy life is not a requirement of salvation. Salvation and the indwelling of God’s Holy Spirit come first in a new believer’s life and are not conditioned on anything other than believing Jesus Christ is the Messiah (Saviour of the world) and was Resurrected from the dead.

<<Are you walking with Him in fellowship with the Holy Spirit who comes to indwell all who are saved?>>

Important to do, but unrelated to salvation, which is by Grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

(Ephesians 2:8-9)

“For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.”

(Galatians 3:26)

<<May we keep our eyes on Jesus, our blessed Hope,>>

Yes, and that means not keeping our eyes on ourselves and our law keeping and whether we are doing enough for the (to quote the author) “gift of salvation by grace.”

If salvation requires one to surrender his or her life to Jesus’ lordship, it’s not a gift and it’s not by grace. Instead, it’s something to be earned. The author contradicts herself by trying to introduce works and performance into a Grace-based Gospel.

<<as we continue to warn all who have not yet believed.>>

sheilaalewine.com

Warning others of the impending Tribulation is certainly important because after the Rapture, getting saved is much harder.

<<UNARMED MINUTEMAN III TEST LAUNCH TO SHOWCASE READINESS OF U.S. NUCLEAR FORCE’S SAFE, EFFECTIVE DETERRENT

Published May 30, 2024

VANDENBERG SPACE FORCE BASE, Calif. --

Vandenberg Guardians and Airmen will support two separate operational test launches of an Air Force Global Strike Command unarmed Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile off the Vandenberg Test Range scheduled for the first week of June.

The first test is scheduled for June 4 from 12:01 a.m. to June 4, 2024, 6:01 a.m., Pacific Time from north Vandenberg.

The second test is scheduled for June 6 from 12:01 a.m. to June 6, 6:01 a.m., Pacific Time from north Vandenberg.

The purpose of the ICBM test launch program is to demonstrate the readiness of U.S. nuclear forces and provide confidence in the lethality and effectiveness of the nation’s nuclear deterrent, according to Air Force Global Strike Command.

"Vandenberg Guardians and Airmen are committed to supporting our mission partners and these vitally important test launches from the Western Range," said Col. Mark Shoemaker, Space Launch Delta 30 commander. "Test launches like these are critical in safeguarding the defense our nation.”

Consistent with previous test launches, this routine, unarmed ICBM test launch will validate and verify the effectiveness, readiness and accuracy of the weapon system.

“A previous test launch slated for February 2024 had to be postponed due to some needed repairs at Reagan Test Site,” said Col. Chris Cruise, 377th Test and Evaluation Group commander. “This summer’s test launch was already scheduled so it made sense to do them both while all the necessary personnel were in place. The launches were scheduled well in advance and have nothing to do with world events.”

In accordance with standard procedures, the United States has transmitted a pre-launch notification pursuant to the Hague Code of Conduct, and notified the Russian government in advance, per our existing bi-lateral obligations.

Regardless of whether these test launches were scheduled well in advance and have nothing to do with world events, how can they not be seen as provocative given world events?

We’ve got Putin warning of nuclear war and conducting drills related to it, we’ve got U.K. citizens being told to stock up on emergency supplies, we’ve got Ukraine (or an ally of Ukraine) disabling Russian systems designed for early detection of incoming nuclear missiles, and now the United States next week is test launching unarmed nuclear missiles.

Yeah, this all sounds totally normal.

<<North Korea, China, Russia Expanding Nuclear Weapons At Breakneck Pace: US

According to the US, Russia, the PRC and North Korea are all expanding and diversifying their nuclear arsenals at a breakneck pace, showing little or no interest in arms control.

Washington: North Korea, China and Russia are expanding and diversifying their nuclear weapons stockpiles at a "breakneck" speed, a White House official has said, warning that absent a change in the trajectory of their arsenals, the US may have to increase its own.

Pranay Vaddi, senior director for arms control, disarmament and nonproliferation at the National Security Council, made the remarks at a forum on Friday, noting that the three countries are driving the US and its allies into bracing for a "world where nuclear competition occurs without numerical constraints", Yonhap news agency reported.

"Russia, the PRC and North Korea are all expanding and diversifying their nuclear arsenals at a breakneck pace, showing little or no interest in arms control," he said at the event hosted by the Arms Control Association, a US-based nonpartisan organization. PRC stands for China's official name, the People's Republic of China.

"Those three, together with Iran, are increasingly cooperating and coordinating with each other in ways that run counter to peace and stability, threaten the United States, our allies and our partners, and exacerbate regional tensions," he added.

The official pointed out that to deal with the realities of a "new" nuclear era, President Joe Biden recently issued an updated nuclear weapons employment guidance. "It emphasizes the need to account for the growth and diversity of the PRC's nuclear arsenal and the need to deter Russia, the PRC and North Korea simultaneously," he said. "It also reaffirms our commitment to use arms control and other tools to minimize the number of nuclear weapons needed to achieve US objectives."

Vaddi warned that the US will need to adjust its posture and capabilities to ensure its ability to deter growing threats from the three countries should there be no change in their current nuclear weapons policy trajectory. "Let me be clear (that) absent a change in the trajectory of adversary arsenals, we may reach a point in the coming years where an increase from current deployed numbers is required," he said.>>

Vic
I am very glad that you have come to that conclusion. As you said it isn't healthy. It also isn't productive it only distracts. iMHO. No one knows the hour.

"But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." (Matthew 24:36)

Jesus unambiguously excludes himself, the angels, and all others from knowing the precise timing, making it the Father's sole knowledge. This aligns with his teaching that there are certain things known only to the Father, as part of the divine mystery and wisdom.

I believe that includes the rapture.

But let us be found doing the work we were called to do, if (in our lifetime ) or when that happens.

So when someone makes declaration and found to be mistaken or wrong, and then they make another prediction, and then another. It isn't good as non believers who know about those failures. Will not trust such people to witness to them. Or they will use that against us to discredit us out of hand.

It is better to leave such things to God the father. IMHO.

I was never really a date setter. The only two dates I mentioned as potential Rapture dates in the 15 months I’ve been posting about it on here were…

• By the end of 2023 based on the Berisheet Passover Prophecy which, unbeknownst to me at the time, was entirely based on Jesus Christ being crucified in 30 A.D. The year of His crucifixion, though, is in dispute as some Bible scholars and commentators think He was crucified in 31 A.D. or 33 A.D., and that would directly impact the timing of the Rapture according to the reasoning in that prophecy.

• April 8, 2024 based on a dream I had - not explicitly about the Rapture but about those numbers. I posted the dream elsewhere and don’t want to rehash it but it was basically three men stood before me and I had only one gift. I told them I’d think of a number between 1 and 10 and give the gift to the man whose guess was closest. I picked the number 8 in my head and they all simultaneously said 4. I didn’t think much of it until I learned about the solar eclipse that was scheduled to take place last 4/8.

Anyway, I used to watch videos by date setters and I got sucked in by their reasoning and by the confidence they had that they were right. One guy on YouTube (won’t mention his name because I don’t want to give his channel any recognition) has boldly and confidently predicted (in some cases guaranteed) literally dozens and dozens of Rapture dates - only to shamelessly move on to more date setting when his “guaranteed” Rapture dates came and went. And he still has followers, who, imo, are now very much like a cult.

Anyway, that’s what I meant about getting sucked into it. I was watching more than a few videos by date setters and now realize that as convincing as their reasoning might be, they don’t and can’t know the date. And some of these guys say they’re being led by God. When someone picks literally dozens and dozens of Rapture dates and is 100 percent wrong, he or she is obviously not being led by God. But for many (based on the number of their followers and views) their confidence and shamelessness covers up their being consistently wrong.

I believe a pre-Tribulation Rapture is Biblical, and I believe we’re very close to it (because we’re very close to the Tribulation,) but I now take a hard pass on date-setting videos. I am interested, though, in videos about current events (especially wars and rumors of wars) as they relate to the End Times.

No worries. I appreciate your point of view on this and wish I had it before I got sucked into watching date-setter videos. It’s interesting that some date setters tie their predictions to specific dates, while others tie the Rapture to the advent of nuclear war.

But yeah, it’s totally unhealthy spiritually (for me) to spend time watching date setters. Maybe not for other Christians; to each his own.

Some “watchers” link the Rapture to specific dates, others to nuclear war (as noted earlier.) But here’s a guy who links it to signs in the heavens…

From a post about 45 minutes ago on the community page of the YouTube channel “Steve Fletcher 222…”

<<JESUS said there would be signs in the moon when He returns (Luke 21:25).

Here are 12 reasons this weekend’s full moon may be considered a sign:

1. The full moon is symbolic of the Church, or Bride of Christ, in a state of fullness, or readiness for the wedding (Rom. 11:25).

2. The full moon is when the “husband,” a picture of Jesus, is expected to return: “My husband is not at home; he has gone on a long journey. He took with him a bag of money and will not return until the moon is full” (Prov. 7:19, 20).

3. The full moon is when a trumpet blast announces the harvest: “Sound the ram’s horn at the New Moon, and when the moon is full, on the day of our festival” (Ps. 81:3).

4. This weekend’s full moon coincides with the Feast of Weeks, or Pentecost, the harvest festival associated with the Church (Acts 2).

5. This weekend’s full moon marks the beginning of summer. Moreover, it is the earliest start to summer in 228 years. This is significant because in the Bible, “summer” is a metaphor for the end of the age: “When you see all these things, you know that [summer] is near, right at the door” (Matt. 24:33).

6. This weekend’s full moon will see the first “major lunar standstill” in nearly two decades. Thus, at moonrise, the lunar disc will appear larger, more colorful, and will linger near the horizon significantly longer than normal.

7. Seven days prior to this weekend’s full Moon, the Moon occulted, or crossed over, Spica, the largest and brightest star in the constellation Virgo, which symbolizes the wheat harvest.

8. This weekend’s full Moon occurs in the constellations Scorpius, Ophiuchus, and Sagittarius, the heavenly signs that depict the victory over death at the Rapture. What’s more, the Moon (Church–Bride) will occult Antares, the brightest star in the Scorpion who stings: “Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed—in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet …. then the saying that is written will come true: ‘Death has been swallowed up in victory.’ ‘Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?’” (1 Cor. 15:51, 52, 54, 55).

9. The impending full moon occurs on the weekend of June 22–23. Coincidentally, it is in verses 22–23 of Paul’s rapture explanation to the Corinthians that he addresses the chronology of the event: “As in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. But each in turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him” (1 Cor. 15).

10. The full moon on June 22–23 occurs exactly 280 days—the length of an average pregnancy term—after the “birth” sign in Virgo at last year’s Feast of Trumpets. This is significant because the Rapture is characterized as a birth: “Your dead will live, Lord; their bodies will rise …. the earth will give *birth* to her dead. Go, my people, enter your rooms and shut the doors behind you; hide yourselves for a little while until his wrath has passed by (Isa. 26:19–20).

11. The full moon of June is when the agricultural signs in the Bible’s poetic rapture-allegory are peaking: the rainy season is over, flowers are blooming, and the summer fruit is ripening (Song 2:8–13).

12. The full moon of June occurs in a calculated Jubilee, or “year of redemption” (Lev. 25) Moreover, it is the 70th Jubilee since the Jews began counting the 49-year cycle in 1407 BC. This is significant because the number 70 denotes redemption and a prophetic culmination (Jer. 29:10; Dan. 9:24).

SUMMARY AND CONCLUSION

Scripture says the heavens speak to us:

“The heavens declare the glory of God … Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge” (Ps. 19:1, 2).

This weekend’s full moon speaks of a “harvest,” a “wedding,” a “birth,” and “redemption.”

While no one knows the day of the Rapture, the heavens seem to be declaring that it is imminent.

Maranatha.

NOTES:

1. Moon symbolism: Since the Sun symbolizes Jesus the Bridegroom (Ps. 19:4, 5; 84:11), the Moon, the Sun’s heavenly counterpart, represents the Bride of Christ, or Church. The Moon is emblematic of the Church in that it has no light of its own but relies entirely upon the Sun for its light. Similarly, man has no light of his own but relies entirely upon God.>>

From the video description…

<<Blessings to you dear family in Christ. In this video I share some words given to me and by the Lord regarding North Korea and an imminent strike. I also share a vision my 17 year old had at 9 years old about Kim Jong Un pressing the red button and the rapture happening simultaneously with the missile striking. Plus a dream a sister in Christ had about Kim Jong Un sending a missile to USA. I share also an open vision of Jesus telling me to come have a meal with Papa God. Plus more messages and encouragement.>>

I checked the titles of her past videos and she doesn’t appear to be that focused on the Rapture.

The Rapture - specifically the pre-Tribulation Rapture - is not only Biblical, it’s logical.

Why would God allow His sons and daughters, who are His righteousness in Jesus Christ, to go through not only nuclear war but the worst seven years in human history (the Tribulation?)

Does the Rapture sound crazy? Yeah, it *sounds* crazy. That doesn’t mean it is. The Resurrection of Jesus Christ *sounds* crazy too. But if you look at all the evidence for it, I think the only basis on which to reject it is a bias against the supernatural, that is, rejecting the supernatural.

And if God literally made the universe and everything in it (sun, stars, planets, etc.,) do you really think He’s incapable of removing a large population from the earth - again His children - before nuclear war and the seven worst years in human history? I really don’t think so.

And I have yet to see an alternative interpretation for passages in the Bible that are commonly associated with the Rapture, such as 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18, 1 Corinthians 15:50-55, and Matthew 24:37-42, etc. The best people can do (that I’ve seen) is to claim the Rapture coincides with Jesus Christ’s Second Coming, that believers meet Him in the air to escort Him to earth (that is, the few believers who weren’t killed in nuclear war and the Tribulation.)

But, imo, Christians by the Biblical definition of John 3:16 and Romans 10:9 don’t need to believe the Rapture to be taken in it. I believe *all* Christians go up.

GotQuestions.org’s “Question of the Week…”

<<Question: “What is the rapture of the church?”

Answer: The word rapture does not occur in the Bible. The term comes from a Latin word meaning “a carrying off, a transport, or a snatching away.” While the word rapture is not in the Bible, the concept of the “carrying off” is clearly taught in Scripture.

The rapture of the church is the event in which God “snatches away” all believers from the earth in order to make way for His righteous judgment to be poured out on the earth.

The rapture is described primarily in 1 Thessalonians 4:13–18 and 1 Corinthians 15:50–54. God will resurrect all believers who have died, give them glorified bodies, and take them from the earth, along with all living believers, who will also be given glorified bodies at that time. “For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever” (1 Thessalonians 4:16–17). The rapture will involve an instantaneous transformation of our bodies to fit us for eternity. “We know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is” (1 John 3:2).

The doctrine of the rapture was not taught in the Old Testament, which is why Paul calls it a “mystery” now revealed: “Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed—in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed” (1 Corinthians 15:51–52).

Whether there is a distinction between the rapture and the second coming is a matter of much debate. Some Christians believe that the rapture is to be distinguished from the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. At the rapture, the Lord comes “in the clouds” to meet us “in the air” (1 Thessalonians 4:17). At the second coming, the Lord descends all the way to the earth to stand on the Mount of Olives, resulting in a great earthquake followed by a defeat of God’s enemies (Zechariah 14:3–4).

Other Christians believe the biblical warrant for separating the rapture from the second coming is lacking. Further, even among those who believe the rapture is a separate event from the second coming, there is a significant amount of debate regarding when the rapture will occur in relationship to the tribulation. The primary interpretations on this aspect of the rapture discussion are pretribulationism, midtribulationism, pre-wrath, and posttribulationism.

The rapture of the church, though, is not supposed to be a divisive issue. Rather, the rapture is a glorious event that, according to Scripture, we should all be longing for. We will finally be free from sin. We will be in God’s presence forever.

There is far too much debate over the meaning and scope of the rapture. This is not God’s intent. Rather, the rapture should be a comforting doctrine full of hope; God wants us to “encourage one another with these words” (1 Thessalonians 4:18).>>

Received this via e-mail today from Joseph Prince Ministries…

<<Hey Beloved,

I know the world around us can feel like it is growing darker by the day. Everywhere we look, we see chaos, confusion, and uncertainty. But as children of God, we have a hope that shines brighter than any darkness—a hope the Bible calls our "blessed hope."

This is none other than the rapture, when our Lord Jesus comes back for us! It is the glorious moment when He will come back for us and in the twinkling of an eye, we will be caught up to be with Him in the sky!

Now, how can we live rapture-ready? Let me share with you three tips on how we can make the most of our days and be prepared for this glorious event.

• Make every day count 🌤️ Our days on earth are limited, so let’s use our time wisely! Instead of getting caught up in worries about the future, focus on living fully in the present 24 hours God has given you. Cherish your loved ones, pursue your God-given purpose to build His house, and reach out to the precious people God has placed in your life to share the Good News with them. These are the things that we carry into eternity.

• Hold on to this hope ✨ In the Bible, hope is far more than wishful thinking or uncertainty. It is a powerful, confident expectation of good. The Word of God tells us in Romans 5:5 that hope in Him never disappoints. Having this hope doesn’t mean your problems will instantly disappear, but it does mean you can face them from a different perspective. You can have a confident expectation that good is coming your way, that the trial you are facing will not last forever, and that your Savior is returning for you. This hope isn’t just about the future—it’s a present reality that can fill you with joy and peace right now!

• Live life knowing you’re loved! ❣️ As you go about your days, I want you to know that you can live boldly and confident that nothing can ever separate you from God’s love, not trouble, hardship, persecution, or any power of darkness (Rom. 8:38–39). Never forget that you are God’s beloved. Even in tough times, this truth is what anchors our souls, gives us courage to know God is for us, and empowers us to overcome the challenges that come our way!

Beloved, it’s easy to get caught up in fear and anxiety when we see troubling things happening all around us. But, as children of God, we have every reason to be full of hope and courage!>>

Thanks for your kind words.

The Rapture is really a momentous event, and I think that’s why it hasn’t happened yet.

Once it happens, there’s really no turning back. Not only will it imo prove God’s existence but people who aren’t saved will go through the worst seven years in the history of the world and likely will be martyred if they get saved during the Tribulation.

But I believe people are getting saved every day, and while many believers want the Rapture to happen pretty much immediately, I wonder if they’d still feel that way if they met unbelievers who are open to believing the Gospel but are still looking into it.

I think the Resurrection of Jesus Christ proves the veracity of the Gospel; that’s how I came to believe but others come to salvation in different ways.

Lisa Boyce (Watchwoman 65) covers preparations for all-out war between NATO and Russia and between Hezbollah and Israel, and the likelihood of the November election being cancelled because the United States will be at war.

The title of her video references a Rapture passage from 1 Thessalonians 5…

“But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.

For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.

But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.

For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.

Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.”
