The wall is a psychological ploy. Dems told Trump he would not get his wall. He shutdown the government. He’s caused great damage. All because he does not care about the general public who does not support the wall shutdown only his supporters. The general public does not support that wall only Trumpsters. In a democracy that should be sufficient. Except this is no democracy and so we are fed up.

Dems won’t either. Zero reason why we should. All the Electoral College did was appoint him into office. He made no attempt to reach towards the center in fact he did nothing but attach and Dems did not owe him anything other than opposing every unpopular move and making sure the corruption and abuse of office the GOP hid is exposed. Our direction from the majority is to block Trump, make sure the investigations are done and run out the clock so we can have populaly elected President again. The concentrated masses in a few cities (which does not accurately represent the country) is what gave Hillary the majority. So I am asking, whats the big deal about a wall to protect our borders? I will give you my opinion. I think the dems have chosen politics over America. IF Trump gets his wall its simply another kept campaign promise. The dems can't have that. I see no good reason not to build the wall. I was unsure about a wall at first but the more I think about it. Why not?

So what if Trump promised Mexico would pay for the wall. They didn’t. A majority don’t want to pay for it. As I have said we support cost effective barriers and increased security on the border which is better than Trump’s wall.

I am not convinced the dems have any sort of plan. A wall is about the cheapest way to do something. We can always go back and make it better. I paid for Obama care, didn't agree with it but my tax money went to it. There are lots of things taxes pay for that we disagree with. Thats a bad argument and you know it. Why didn't the dems build an electronic wall in the last 8 years? Truth is, illegal aliens are not an issue to the Democrats. In the last few years, I believe they see them as votes and the perpetuation of power. It wasnt always that way but times have changed. I dont buy the cost issue about the wall.

What does it really accomplish, as official records show that -most illegal immigrants have stayed by extending their visas (a wall would no nothing) -most illegal immigrants have arrived from the north (a southern wall would do nothing) -most illegal drug trafficking takes place by routes not affected by a wall Could you not Americans for a short while forget the Trump/anti-Trump issues, and just focus on this issue pragmatically?
