trump quotes
of old that should be re-discussed before election day.

1: "My daughter is a fine piece of ass."

2: "Putin is a friend of mine.

3: "Why have Nukes if you don't use them?"

“When you say that we lead in [coronavirus] cases, that's because we have more testing than anybody else. So when we have a lot of cases, I don't look at that as a bad thing. I look at that as, in a certain respect, as being a good thing because it means our testing is much better.

So I view it as a badge of honor. Really, it's a badge of honor.”

And
“[infections are] going to be down to close to zero. One day, it’s like a miracle. It will disappear.”

Eleven days later, Trump gave another speech. “I've always known this is a real [sic], this is a pandemic. I've felt it was a pandemic long before it was called a pandemic.”

"This is the only way you're getting out of the trailer park."
Daniels said Trump made sexual advances after inviting her to his hotel suite at a celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. Daniels testified she grew up as the daughter of a low-income single mother.

She said Trump told her: "This is the only way you're getting out of the trailer park."

Offering career advancement to coerce women into sex. What a fine, moral man.

Whose Boat is This Boat?
At least you got a nice boat out of the deal.

Trump’s deep empathy in the hurricane aftermath. Like massaging salt into a wound. I think I would rather have a visit from the hurricane—at least the pain inflicted wouldn’t be intentional.

Total Immunity
Police have been—their authority has been taken away. If something happens with them, even if they're doing a very good job, they take away their house, they take away their pension, they take away their, I mean, essentially, they end up losing their families over it. They take away everything. They prosecute people. And we have to give the police back the power and respect that they deserve. Now, there will be some mistakes, and there are certain bad people and that's a terrible thing. But there are far more problems with what's happened now, where police are standing outside of a department store as it’s being robbed and 500 mostly young people are walking out carrying air conditioners and televisions and everything else. And the police would like to do something about it. But they're told to stand down. They said don't do it. And if you do anything about it, if you stop crime, we're going to go after your pension, your home, your family, your wife or your husband. And you know, police are being prosecuted all the time. And we want to give them immunity from prosecution if they're doing their job.

Silence
Silence of the lamb. Has anyone ever seen Silence of the Lambs? The late, great Hannibal Lecter is a wonderful man. He oftentimes would have a friend over for dinner. Remember the last scene? “Excuse me, I’m about to have a friend for dinner.” As this poor doctor walks by. “I’m about to have a friend for dinner.” But Hannibal Lecter. Congratulations. The late, great Hannibal Lecter.

No Crime. “Most People Will Flip”
This is not a Trump quote, but follows along a theme. Cohen testified today. Before the senate years back (2018?) he testified he was going to prison, which he did, for crimes Trump told him to commit on his behalf.

Will Trump be held accountable, or should we apologize to Cohen? Maybe pay restitution.

"Mr. President, what about Michael Cohen?" I asked during an Oval Office photo op with French President Emmanuel Macron. "Are you considering a pardon for Michael Cohen?"

"Stupid question," Trump angrily responded, glaring and pointing his finger at me.

"Most people will flip if the Government lets them out of trouble. Sorry, I don't see Michael doing that."

LOL.

Electric boat comments...
"It must be because of my relationship with M.I.T., very smart, I say, what would happen if the boat sank, and you have this tremendously powerful battery, and the battery is now underwater…. Do I get electrocuted or do I jump over by the shark?"

Electric Boats
“We’re going to end that.”

We need the full transcript. Because what he actually said is a whole lot stupider than it sounds here.

He is old, but worse he is confused. The dementia he inherited from Fred is clearly taking a toll. Biden may be old, but he is physically fit, and he has always been able to stay pretty close to the topic. He doesn’t pit insane scenarios like being forced to choose between death by shark or death by electrocution. He clearly has no concept of current flow, and besides—once the boat sinks the shark will still be there.

Who is making electric boats?

<Who is making electric boats?>

Everyone who is building submarines, and that has been true since before World War 1.

What I found incomprehensible is "the battery is now underwater…. Do I get electrocuted or do I jump over by the shark?"

1. If the boat sank, what would he be jumping FROM?

2. If the battery is underwater but the ship still has parts above water, then stay out of the water for BOTH reasons.

Such a display of mental acuity!

Here is тяцмр's argument against switching to electric-powered trucks:

“I say, ‘What would happen if the boat sank from its weight, and you’re in the boat, and you have this tremendously powerful battery, and the battery’s now underwater, and there’s a shark that’s approximately 10 yards over there?’
“By the way, a lot of shark attacks lately, do you notice that? Lot of sharks. I watched some guys justifying it today: ‘Well they weren’t really that angry, they bit off the young lady’s leg because of the fact that they were not hungry but they misunderstood who she was.’ These people are crazy. He said, ‘There’s no problem with sharks, they just didn’t really understand a young woman swimming.’ No, really got decimated, and other people, too, a lot of shark attacks.
“So I said, ‘There’s a shark 10 yards away from the boat, 10 yards, or here. Do I get electrocuted if the boat is sinking, water goes over the battery, the boat is sinking? Do I stay on top of the boat and get electrocuted, or do I jump over by the shark and not get electrocuted?’ Because I will tell you, he didn’t know the answer.
“He said, ‘You know, nobody’s ever asked me that question.’ I said, ‘I think it’s a good question. I think there’s a lot of electric current coming through that water.’ But you know what I’d do if there was a shark or you get electrocuted? I’ll take electrocution every single time. I’m not getting near the shark. So we’re going to end that, we’re going to end it for boats, we’re going to end it for trucks.”

Yes, that's his argument against electric-powered trucks!
