coram_deo 19-Aug-21, 19:54	I remember when I sang in a church choir as a kid, this was always the last hymn sung at Christmas Eve services. And the Christmas Eve service was unique in that it took place at midnight; the boys’ choir was in the balcony, high above the congregation; and the church was packed - not an empty space in a pew anywhere. So this hymn holds a special place in my heart ‘cause it not only brings back fond memories of Christmas Eve services and the good moods everyone was in, but that almost exalted position of being so far above the congregation and being with friends in the choir. Very grateful my mother had me in church at a young age, continuing what her mother had done for her. As that verse in Proverbs says, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6) youtu.be Here are the lyrics to “Hark!
