The KJV Verse of the Day from Bible Study Tools:

“A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.”

(Proverbs 29:11)

Did you know the book of Proverbs in the Holy Bible is 31 chapters?

One chapter for every day of the month!

Today’s KJV Verse of the Day from Bible Study Tools is a great one and one I wasn’t aware of:

“The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.”

(Nahum 1:3)

The KJV Verse of the Day from Bible Study Tools:

“In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”

(1 Thessalonians 5:18)

Reminds me of this great verse:

“But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

(1 Corinthians 15:57)

And these…

“And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful…

And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.“

(Colossians 3:15, 17)

The greatest verse in the first Psalm I memorized, and a verse I have found to be 100% true, is the following verse from Psalm 25:

“The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.”

(Psalm 25:14)

Why do I think this is a great verse and 100% true? Based on personal experience!

First “fear” in this verse is better understood as respect.

Those who have respect for the Lord will have their hearts and minds enlightened to His covenant - the New Covenant, what the Apostle Paul called “the glorious gospel of Christ.”

“In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”

(2 Corinthians 4:4)

The true Gospel, whereby Jesus Christ takes all your sins and gives you His righteousness. The Gospel that saves you for eternity and gives you the freedom to live unshackled from guilt, fear, condemnation and the power of sin.

But if you don’t respect Christ, your eyes are forever “holden “ (as the King James Version of the Holy Bible says) and you don’t see or understand the New Covenant.

I was once like that - until I actually read the Gospels and asked God to open my eyes, ears, heart and mind to the Gospel and New Covenant.

And I think that’s how one comes to understand and be enlightened to the New Covenant - by reading the Gospels and by praying for God to open their eyes, ears, heart and mind to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the New Covenant.

No time for that? Ok. It’s honestly the most important thing you could ever do but everyone’s got free will.

I think a lot of people, when it comes to the afterlife and their eternal destination, are like, “I’ll deal with that when/if it happens,” figuring they can talk their way into or out of anything. I don’t think it works that way.

This KJV Verse of the Day from Bible Study Tools is a great one:

“Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.”

(Psalm 95:2-3)
