![]() And I’ve found through personal experience that one of the best ways for a believer to experience healing is to partake of the Holy Communion. This doesn’t have to be done in a church but can be done at home with bread and juice (or wine.) At the Last Supper, before Jesus Christ’s crucifixion, He established the Holy Communion with His apostles: “And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him. And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer: For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God. And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves: For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come. And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.” (Luke 22:14-20) The power of the Holy Communion to heal believers is found in both the Old and New Testaments. (It’s found in the Old Testament as a Messianic prophecy.) “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5) “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.” (1 Peter 2:24) “Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.” (Matthew 8:17b) Before the Last Supper, Jesus Christ spoke so bluntly of the Holy Communion that many people left Him, not realizing that He was speaking figuratively. “I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat? Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever. These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum. Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it? When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you? What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before? It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him. And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father. From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.” (John 6:51-69) In the early church at Corinth, believers disrespected the Holy Communion, which led the Apostle Paul to criticize them in his first letter to the church: “When ye come together therefore into one place, this is not to eat the Lord's supper. For in eating every one taketh before other his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken. What? have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church of God, and shame them that have not? what shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I praise you not. For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, this cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come. Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.” (1 Corinthians 11:20-30) So how does one take the Holy Communion worthily? I think it’s by being conscious and grateful to Jesus Christ for what the elements (bread and juice) represent. The bread represents His body, which was broken for our healing, and the juice represents His blood, which was shed for the remission of all of our sins. Pastor Joseph Prince says believers partake of the Holy Communion unworthily when they are sin conscious instead of being Jesus conscious. Jesus Christ died to give them healing, abundant life, forgiveness of sins and so much more. This is what believers should meditate on when taking the Holy Communion. When Paul says believers should examine ourselves when taking the Holy Communion, I believe he’s saying we should affirm who we are in Christ because believers are the righteousness of God *in Christ.* “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” (2 Corinthians 5:21) “For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.” (2 Corinthians 8:9) How often to take the Holy Communion? Believers who are sick take it every day! youtu.be |

![]() From josephprince.org: WHAT IS THE HOLY COMMUNION? The Holy Communion, known also as the Lord’s Supper, represents the greatest expression of God’s love for His people. Two items are used in the Holy Communion—the bread which represents Jesus’ body that was scourged and broken before and during His crucifixion, and the cup which represents His shed blood. When Jesus walked on earth, He was vibrant, and His body was full of life and health. He was never sick. But before Jesus went to the cross, He was badly scourged by the Roman soldiers, and His body was torn as He hung on the cross. At the cross, God also took all our sicknesses and diseases and put them on Jesus’ originally perfect and healthy body, so that we can walk in divine health. That is why the Bible says by His stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5, 1 Peter 2:24). In Luke 22:20, Jesus tells us that the cup is the “new covenant in My blood”, and the apostle Paul tells us that the blood of Jesus brings forgiveness of sins (Colossians 1:14, Ephesians 1:7). WHY DO BELIEVERS PARTAKE OF THE HOLY COMMUNION? Besides being born again in Christ, a healthy body and mind are the greatest blessings anyone can have. And the Holy Communion is God’s ordained channel of healing and wholeness. On the night that He was betrayed, Jesus ate His last supper with His disciples. And knowing what He would accomplish through His sacrifice, He instituted the Holy Communion (Luke 22:19–20, 1 Corinthians 11:24–25). His loving instruction is that we are to remember Him as we partake of the Holy Communion. Jesus wanted us conscious of how His body was broken for our wholeness, and His blood was shed for the forgiveness of our sins. And whenever we partake in this consciousness, we “proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes” (1 Corinthians 11:26). Today, when we partake of the bread, we are declaring that Jesus’ health and divine life flows in our mortal bodies. And when we partake of the cup, we are declaring that we are forgiven and have been made righteous. Jesus’ blood gives us right standing before God, and we can go boldly into God’s presence (Hebrews 4:16). When we pray, we can be sure that God hears us! HOW DO I PARTAKE OF THE HOLY COMMUNION? Before you partake, remember that the Holy Communion is not a ritual to be observed, but a blessing to be received. Because it is not a ritual, there is no prescribed bread or special drink required. In the Last Supper, Jesus used whatever He had at the table—bread commonly eaten at supper, and whatever they were drinking. WATCH PASTOR JOSEPH PRINCE SHARE ON, AND LEAD YOU, IN A TIME OF THE HOLY COMMUNION youtu.be TO PARTAKE, HOLD THE BREAD IN YOUR HAND AND SAY: Dear Lord Jesus, I come to You, and remember all that You have done for me on the cross. Thank You for loving me so much, You gave up heaven for me. Thank You for allowing Your body to be broken so that mine might be whole. As I partake, I receive Your resurrection life, health, and strength. By Your grace, I shall be completely strong and healthy all the days of my life. My eyes shall not grow dim, nor shall my strength be abated. No sickness can remain in my body because the same power that raised You from the grave flows through me. By Your stripes, I am healed. [Now eat the bread.] NOW HOLD THE CUP IN YOUR HAND AND TELL HIM: Lord Jesus, thank You for Your precious blood. Thank You for washing me clean of all my sins. I stand before You completely righteous and forgiven. Your blood has redeemed me from every curse, and today I can freely receive all the blessings that crown the head of the righteous. Amen! [Now drink.] HOW CAN I FIND OUT MORE ABOUT THE HOLY COMMUNION? To find out more about what Joseph Prince has taught on the Holy Communion, you may wish to check the resources available on our ministry's online store. Our ministry has also received praise reports from believers who have partaken of the Holy Communion and seen healing and protection from the Lord manifest. You can find these in Praise Reports page on our ministry website. We pray that as you read them, faith will fill your heart and cause you to look to Jesus for whatever you need while you partake of the Holy Communion. www.josephprince.org |

![]() From josephprince.org: Neck and Lower Back Pain Completely Gone I was involved in a car accident last January while driving to church with my children. My neck and lower back were affected by the impact, and I was in debilitating pain throughout most of the year. I received physical therapy, chiropractic care, and underwent 3 procedures—2 in my back and 1 in my neck to reduce the pain. By the end of October, I began to feel very discouraged as I seemed to be getting worse even after all the treatment and rest I was receiving. My husband had taken a lot of time off work to help me with our children as I woke up stiff many mornings, not being able to move and needing ice for relief. One morning, I felt the Lord lead me to receive the Communion and to believe Him for my healing. My husband and I began to partake of the holy Communion together every morning. We happened to have Joseph Prince’s book Eat Your Way to Life and Health, so I began reading it every morning too. After just a week, I noticed my pain was completely gone! Today I’ve stopped going to physical therapy and to the chiropractor because I have no more need of them. I have been healed! It has been life-changing to be made aware of what Jesus purchased for me and my family on the cross. We continue to partake of the Communion daily because it is so life-giving to us! Thank you, Pastor Prince. Your ministry has changed my life and introduced my husband and me to the gospel of grace! Coryn Epps California, United States www.josephprince.org |

![]() From josephprince.org Free from Anxiety and OCD I used to suffer from massive anxiety attacks and had obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) for many years. I was saved at a very young age but didn’t know much about Jesus. When I sinned, I thought God was angry with me and hated me. When I turned 25, the muscles in my body started to tense up to the point where I was not able to walk properly. I fell constantly and was in massive amounts of pain. By God’s grace, I came across Pastor Prince’s sermons on what condemnation produces in our lives and started listening to them. I learned about who Jesus is and how much He loves me. The more I listened and confessed that I am under no condemnation in Christ Jesus, the more I started to feel a peace I’d never felt before. After 4 months of listening, I was completely healed by God’s grace. I am now 27 years old and free from anxiety and OCD! Every day I partake of the holy Communion and confess that I am the righteousness of God through Christ Jesus and under no condemnation. I feel a freedom I’ve never experienced before and finally have peace. All glory to my Daddy God! Daniel Myers Iowa, United States www.josephprince.org |

![]() Freed from Alcohol Addiction After Partaking of Communion I had developed a drinking problem. It started out with a glass of red wine every night as I had read it could be good for one’s health. As time went on and life became more stressful, one glass didn’t seem to be enough anymore. It increased to 3 to 4 glasses a night. One evening, I had really embarrassed myself with my behavior. That was when I realized something had to change. So, I started listening to Joseph Prince. I was intrigued by his sermons on the holy Communion and its power to heal. I began to pray for healing regarding my desire for alcohol. When Pastor Prince came to Washington D.C. in October 2019, I immediately got tickets to go with my daughter and grandson. It was truly a moving experience for my whole family. As we partook of the holy Communion during the service, I asked Jesus to deliver me from this addiction. I did not feel any different afterwards nor did I hear anything from the Lord. However, several days later, something very amazing happened. I was going to purchase some wine for the evening but as soon as I saw the bottle, I immediately felt really sick to my stomach. Although the bottle wasn’t open, I could smell the wine and had a gag reaction. So I left the store without purchasing it. It has been 6 months and I still don’t have the desire for another drink of wine! I am awestruck and amazed that God loves me so much He healed me and answered my prayer. I am so grateful to the Lord whom I have grown so much closer to now. I also want to thank Pastor Prince and his ministry for bringing the gospel of grace to America. Your messages have been life changing for me. Victor Jordan Tennessee, United States |

![]() PRAISE REPORT No More Anxiety, Heart Palpitations, and Insomnia I work as a policeman and have seen a lot of death and pain in my line of duty. One day, everything hit me all at once, and I was struck with anxiety attacks. I work out at the gym and practice self-defense regularly, but when anxiety hits, no muscle or martial arts could help me. I started getting heart palpitations, dark thoughts, and couldn’t sleep at night. My wife, Rachel, bought Pastor Prince’s book Live the Let-Go Life for me. As I read the first chapter, I felt a dark cloud lift off me. I believe the Lord started the healing process that night. I listened to one of Pastor Prince’s sermons about partaking of the holy Communion and experiencing incremental healing. My family began partaking of the Communion every night and have seen the Lord’s power move so mightily. I also listen to Pastor Prince’s sermons daily to fill my mind with the God’s Word. Today my heart palpitations have disappeared, and I can sleep at night! God is so good. I focus on His goodness and promises. I’m excited for what lies ahead and love this journey I am on accompanied by the Holy Spirit. Thank you for showing me how Jesus saves, Pastor Prince. You are truly a gift from God! ![]() Broken Leg Bone Healed in Time for Professional Fight Through the Holy Communion I am a 25-year-old professional fighter living in Colorado, USA. I’m writing in to share a recent experience of God’s healing and favor. I grew up learning the grace message from my father who heard the message of grace while he was serving time in prison. Coincidentally, my father also owned a carpet-laying company called New Creation (the name of Pastor Prince’s church in Singapore). Growing up in a low income family with my father as an ex-convict, I have witnessed the power and glory of the Lord throughout my life. Things that should never have been possible for my family, God made a way, and my life is a testimony to the loving kindness and grace of our Lord. I am far from perfect and probably make more mistakes than your average Joe, but thankfully, it’s not my righteousness but Jesus’ that makes me righteous. As I mentioned I wanted to share my testimony of a recent healing I experienced that I am so grateful for. This isn’t the first time I’ve witnessed God do such a thing in my life but this time was special to me. It also confirms that the holy Communion teaching Pastor Joseph Prince preaches is from the Lord. In August, I was preparing for a fight scheduled in October when during one intense sparring session, I was kicked hard in the calf. I didn’t know at the time that my fibula was broken but the pain was pretty intense. For the first two weeks of the injury I could barely walk. I thought that I had just seriously strained a muscle or ligament so I never went to get the injury checked out. In fact, by the third week of the injury, I was back to training, though not at hundred percent capacity. I was intent on competing and even though my leg wasn’t fully healed, I was determined to step into the cage. However, because of some complications, the fight I was scheduled for was moved back by a month and a half. This was truly God’s favor. Not only did it give me more opportunity to heal but the event ended up getting a better contract with a different broadcaster that would help further my career more than the original one would have. Also, since, the fight was pushed back, it meant I would also be able to see my favorite pastor, Joseph Prince, live in a worship service in New York City in October. When I attended service, I had a seriously annoying pain in my back on the right side that reached all the way into my neck. Being a fighter, I always seem to have injuries and pain that I’ve learned to deal and train with until they hopefully go away. But during the service Pastor Prince started calling out certain areas that the Holy Spirit was leading him to address. He looked out into the audience and called out exactly that painful spot in my back. He said that the Lord wanted that person to roll the shoulder a particular way and it would be healed. Initially, I didn’t really think anything of it because I figured the pain I had was another injury that I had to work through. But because it was the exact spot where the pain I was feeling was located, I felt that maybe the Lord was talking to me. Right as I rolled my shoulder I felt a pop in my back that literally pushed me forward…and the pain was immediately gone! When I went home to train again, I was feeling very confident about my body being able to perform. That is, until I was kicked in the same spot as before and I felt like I had to completely start over in the healing process. The pain was severe again, and again I could barely walk. I started to doubt that the fight had been moved specifically for me and that all the good things that had happened were all part of God’s plan for me. During this time I was watching a lot of the messages on Josephprince.org and for what seemed like a week straight, the ministry continued to play the message of the power of the holy Communion. I took this as a sign from the Lord and started partaking of the Communion each day, sometimes multiple times a day. It seemed to get better but not enough to where I was confident in competing. The pain was still there as the fight approached, and was severe enough for me to get an X-ray on my fibula. Sure enough the images showed a break, not just a little one, but a full-on snapped bone. Everyone in my corner was telling me I should pull out of the fight and that it wasn’t worth risking my record to fight this time. A part of me agreed but another part of me believed that the Lord makes all things work out in our favor to those that trust in him. I continued receiving the Communion for about a week and asked the Lord to make it glaringly obvious if it was in his will to allow me to compete. The next day I had a follow-up appointment with the orthopedist. I limped into his office where he had images of all the previous X-rays on my fibula. He looked me dead in the eyes and said, “You are healed. You’re fine.” I was a little shocked because the pain was still there, the previous images had showed a break, and I could barely walk without a limp. He informed me that the bone itself was healed and there had been “a lot” of healing. He told me that the reason it was still hurting was that I had a hematoma and still some damage around the affected area but that I was cleared to compete. I had asked the Lord to make it obvious and he did. The fight was nearly here, the pain wasn’t gone yet but I knew the Lord would make all things work out in my favor. I continued to partake of the Communion until the day of the fight. By the time it came, my leg felt the best it had felt in two months. It was just like God’s timing too—right on time. During the fight, I was kicked in the leg three times and while it doesn’t feel good to get kicked in the leg it didn’t hurt any worse than it should have. I know now why God had moved the fight for me and why all of these things happened the way they did. I ended up winning in the first round via submission and the fight opened up a lot of opportunities for my career just like I knew it would. God is true to His Word and makes all things work in our favor (Rom. 8:28). I believe also that He has set aside the holy Communion for His people. I believe that while it didn’t happen overnight, the reason my leg healed as strong as it did was my recognizing Jesus’ broken body in the holy Communion. God says He will use the weak things of this world to confound the mighty. It’s confounding how just a cracker and grape juice can manifest healing through the finished work of Christ. How He can take a broken family and a broken kid and demonstrate His might and glory like He has in my life. I have seen God do these types of works time and time again but this particular time was special to me and my journey. I believe the Lord wants me to share my story so that others can know He would do the same for them. Michael Stack Colorado, United States www.josephprince.org |

![]() Let me share with you a powerful testimony of healing from Alzheimer’s disease that Paula from Texas sent to me: My mother was ravaged by Alzheimer’s disease. She was debilitated to the point that she did not recognize her family members. My parents live with me so I could see the daily moment-to-moment struggles and hardship. It was a miserable existence for her as well as for those of us trying to care for her. There were times I just missed my mom and wished to see her well again. Then one day, my sister shared a praise report with me after following your teaching on the holy Communion, so I immediately began to partake of the Communion with my mother. My mother went to bed on the third night after receiving the Communion and woke up the next day looking ten years younger. All the things she had forgotten how to do, she is doing again. She remembers who we all are now. She has stopped repeating herself, something she used to do from sun up to sun down, and is a complete joy to be around now. Jesus has healed her mind and set her free! We are still rejoicing that she is back. I asked her about her experience and the best she could describe was that she was lost and trapped, but that’s all over now. Nothing is too big for the finished work of Christ Jesus, and I praise Him for it. It has freed my mother! |

![]() But the one who is united and joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him. 1 Corinthians 6:17 AMP - OCTOBER 15 - INTIMATE FELLOWSHIP Let me share with you something that I pray will cause your heart to be filled with such warmth as you see more and more of Jesus. The very word communion speaks of the relationship our Lord desires to have with us. The apostle Paul wrote: The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? For we, though many, are one bread and one body; for we all partake of that one bread. Observe Israel after the flesh: Are not those who eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar? —1 Corinthians 10:16–18 The word used for communion in the original Greek is the word koinonia, meaning “fellowship.” It also has the idea of an intimate participation, like the intimacy a husband and wife share when they say and do things no one else is privy to. Isn’t that beautiful? Whenever you partake of the Communion, it’s a time of intimacy between you and the Lord. It’s a time you set aside to remember your heavenly Bridegroom, who loved you so much He gave Himself up for you (Eph. 5:25). It’s a time you run to Him and lose yourself in His presence, and let His perfect love cast out every fear that may be eating at you. He knows the secret fears of your heart as you look at the symptoms in your body. He knows the burdens that weigh you down as the doctors tell you about the long-term complications, side effects, and financial cost that treatment would entail. Run to Him, and cast all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns on Him, for He cares about you with deepest affection and watches over you very carefully (1 Pet. 5:7 AMP). As you take time to commune with Him and to remember Him through the holy Communion, do you know what happens? You become an intimate participator of the benefits of the body and the blood. Just as those who ate of the sacrifices become “partakers of the altar” (1 Cor. 10:18), when you eat the bread and drink the cup, you become a partaker of all Jesus accomplished at the cross. As you drink the cup, that is communion with and sharing in the blood of Christ (1 Cor. 10:16 NASB). As you eat of the broken bread, you are participating in the body of Christ that was broken for you (1 Cor. 10:16 NIV). ![]() For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2 Corinthians 5:21 - OCTOBER 21 - PERFECTION IS NOT REQUIRED When I was a young Christian, I was a victim of a flawed, legalistic teaching based on a misinterpretation of the apostle Paul’s teaching on the holy Communion in 1 Corinthians 11:27–30: “Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body. For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep.” I was taught and warned, as perhaps you were, that if there was any sin in my life, including ones I didn’t know about or had forgotten to confess, that sin made me unworthy to partake of the holy Communion. I would bring judgment and sickness on myself, and I might even die before my time! But how could I ever know if I was “worthy” enough? I was not living in sin or anything like that, but I knew that to God, sin is sin, and if anyone fails in even one area, he is counted guilty of all (James 2:10). As a result, I was so fearful of the Communion I did not partake of it for many years. After all, I was no fool. Why would I risk it? I was robbed of my inheritance because of well-meaning but erroneous preaching that put an invisible fence around what was meant to be a source of health and healing and a blessing for God’s people. A fence was put around it saying, “Don’t come near unless you are worthy.” Don’t be robbed like I was. This is what the Word of God says: Jesus’ blood has already been shed for us, and as believers, we are the righteousness of God in Christ (2 Cor. 5:21). We are completely righteous and worthy not because we are perfect, but because He is perfect. He paid the full price for the forgiveness of our sins, which alone makes us worthy. His sacrifice at the cross has fully qualified us to receive His healing and victory over sin and every kind of bondage that is robbing us of health and life. This devotional is taken from the book The Healing Power of the Holy Communion—A 90-Day Devotional. <<I actually have personal experience with this. When I took the Holy Communion years ago in a church, I would recall in my mind all the sins I had committed. But something inside me - who I now believe was the Holy Spirit, since I was a Christian at the time - told me (not verbally or audibly but through a strong impression) that I was not thinking correctly or partaking of the Holy Communion correctly. Instead of thinking of our sins when we partake of the Holy Communion, we should affirm our position in Christ and express gratitude for all the benefits we have because of that position - both now and in the future. And one doesn’t have to be in church to partake of the Holy Communion. Many Christians partake of it in their homes. All you need is bread and juice (or wine) and a grateful heart.>> |

![]() Partake Your Way To Wholeness 23 October 2021 “For I pass on to you what I received from the Lord himself. On the night when he was betrayed, the Lord Jesus took some bread and gave thanks to God for it. Then he broke it in pieces and said, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way, he took the cup of wine after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant between God and his people—an agreement confirmed with my blood. Do this in remembrance of me as often as you drink it.” (1 Corinthians 11:23-25) When you remember how Jesus willingly came to save you and suffered for your healing at the cross, it will cast out every fear of not receiving healing from Him. That's what partaking of the Holy Communion is about. When you hold the bread in your hand, simply remember how Jesus' body was broken at the cross so that yours may be healed and whole. Say, "Lord Jesus, thank You for bearing my condition on Your own body at the cross. When the lashes fell across Your back, my condition died. It has no right to linger in my body!" Likewise, when you partake of the cup, remember that Jesus shed His blood to save you. Say, "Jesus, thank You for Your shed blood that has washed away my sins and made me righteous. Because I am righteous in Your sight, healing belongs to me. I receive Your healing and resurrection life for my body right now." Beloved, remember the Lord and partake your way to divine health! |

When we look at Jesus, we see our heavenly Father’s heart for us, for Jesus said that anyone who has seen Him has seen the Father. Throughout the Gospels, what do we see Jesus tirelessly doing? And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sick- ness and all kinds of disease among the people. Then His fame went throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them. —Matthew 4:23–24 Then great multitudes came to Him, having with them the lame, blind, mute, maimed, and many others; and they laid them down at Jesus’ feet, and He healed them. —Matthew 15:30 When the sun was setting, all those who had any that were sick with various diseases brought them to Him; and He laid His hands on every one of them and healed them. —Luke 4:40 Over and over again, the Bible records how our Lord Jesus “went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil” (Acts 10:38). He caused the lame to walk and the blind to see. He unstopped deaf ears. He cleansed people with leprosy. He even raised the dead. And do you know what our Lord Jesus said about all that He did? He said, “The words I say to you I do not say on My own initiative or authority, but the Father, abiding continually in Me, does His works [His attesting miracles and acts of power]” (John 14:10 AMP). Jesus said it was the Father who worked (through Him) wonderful healing miracles everywhere He went. Can you see that it is truly your heavenly Father’s desire for you to be completely healed of every disease? ![]() “But these are the ones sown on good ground, those who hear the word, accept it, and bear fruit: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred.” Mark 4:20 - NOVEMBER 12 - YOUR HUNDREDFOLD HARVEST IS COMING When you get discouraged that you have been partaking of the holy Communion but your healing is taking longer than you hope for, the enemy can start to play mind games with you. Maybe you are starting to entertain thoughts that the Communion is just an empty ritual. May I tell you there is spiritual warfare going on to get you to give up on the very channel God has ordained to bring supernatural life and health into your body? As I mentioned previously, miracles of instantaneous healing can take place. But our Lord Jesus tells us in today’s scripture what to expect when we are trusting Him for a breakthrough that does not manifest instantly. Notice what He says about how the seeds of the Word of God bear fruit when they fall on good ground. Luke’s gospel also records: “But as for that seed in the good soil, these are the ones who have heard the word with a good and noble heart, and hold on to it tightly, and bear fruit with patience” (Luke 8:15 AMP). The seeds that fall on good ground “bear fruit with patience.” “Patience” refers to perseverance and endurance. Do you know why patience is involved? Because it takes time for seeds to bear fruit. It does not happen overnight. Just as the farmer waits patiently for the precious fruit of the earth, you also need to be patient (James 5:7). Your harvest will come incrementally—first thirtyfold, then sixtyfold, then a hundredfold. When you begin to partake of the Communion, you might see some improvements, but the pain is mostly still there. That’s a thirtyfold harvest. Don’t give up! Keep on partaking of the holy Communion by faith until you get your sixtyfold harvest. That’s when you know there has been major improvement—you can even feel it—but maybe some symptoms are still there, lingering on. That’s the time to keep persevering, and to keep trusting, and to keep putting your eyes on His finished work until you see your hundredfold harvest of blessings, and you experience full healing for your condition. When a seed is sown, you don’t see anything immediately, but you know it will begin to sprout leaves and grow. You don’t have to keep digging up the soil to check if the seed is growing. In the same way, when the seed of the Word of God is sown, your part is to have faith in the power of His Word and to be patient, as you believe that His words shall not return to Him void. And just as the earth yields crops incrementally, “first the blade, then the head, after that the full grain in the head” (Mark 4:28), I declare that you shall reap the full harvest of your healing! ![]() When we bless the cup at the Lord’s Table, aren’t we sharing in the blood of Christ? And when we break the bread, aren’t we sharing in the body of Christ? 1 Corinthians 10:16 NLT - NOVEMBER 23 - RECEIVE HIS HEALING POWER I would like to share a powerful truth that I believe will help to keep you in God’s love and drive fear out of your life: whenever fear tries to creep up on you, go somewhere quiet and meditate on how much the Lord loves you as you partake of the holy Communion. Right off, you might be wondering, If God loves me, why do I have to pray or partake of the Communion at all? What difference does that make? And if it’s His will to heal me, why am I not automatically healed? May I first answer the question of why you are not healed automatically? My friend, we know it is God’s will for everyone to receive salvation, to receive the gift of eternal life that was freely given to the world (John 3:16). But we all have the choice to accept or reject God’s offer. Nobody gets saved “automatically.” God is a gentleman, and He will not force His salvation on anyone. He will not force His gifts or blessings on us. He will not force His health or goodness on us. So what difference does prayer and partaking of the holy Communion make? When we pray and partake of the holy Communion, we are actively releasing our faith to be aligned with God’s will, God’s Word, and God’s power. We are not begging Him to heal us or trying to persuade Him to heal our loved ones—we already know it is His will to heal. Prayer is about building an intimate relationship with Him. When we pray and partake of the holy Communion, we are receiving His love for us and receiving His healing power into our physical bodies. Talk to God today (that’s what prayer is) about your health challenges, and let Him impart boldness to you and confidence in your heart that He wants you healthy. So when fear grips your heart, go somewhere quiet and find rest in the intimate love of Jesus through the holy Communion. Talk to your Savior, and as you lift up the bread, tell Him, “Lord Jesus, thank You that You love me so much You allowed Your body to be broken so mine can be whole. Right now, I receive Your wholeness, Your strength, and Your divine health.” As you lift up the cup, say, “Thank You for Your precious blood, which has cleansed me of every sin. Right now, I can come boldly to Your throne of grace, knowing I am completely righteous, knowing my prayers avail much!” This devotional is adapted from the book The Healing Power of the Holy Communion—A 90-Day Devotional. |
