![]() “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (John 14:27) I recited John 14:27 many times - in my mind and aloud - when I was in the hospital about four years ago. “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.” (Hebrews 13:5-6) |

![]() Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.” (Habakkuk 3:17-18) This verse from a letter Paul wrote to the church in Philippi shows the Habakkuk verses in action: “Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” (Philippians 4:11-13) |

![]() “Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.” (Galatians 5:4) “O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?” (Galatians 3:1-3) “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” (2 Corinthians 5:21) |

![]() Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.” (Isaiah 49:15-16) Here’s a good commentary on these verses: “a. Can a woman forget her nursing child: Though bizarre accounts of unspeakable cruelty surface from time to time, everyone knows that a woman will never forget her nursing child. Yet the LORD says, Surely they may forget, yet I will not forget you. The LORD’s affection for His people is greater than the devotion a woman has for her nursing child. b. See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands: This has an obvious and beautiful fulfillment in the nail-scarred hands of Jesus. As Jesus told Thomas in a post-resurrection appearance, look at My hands (John 20:27). When we see the nail-scarred hands of Jesus, we see how He has inscribed us on the palms of His hands. With such love, how could God ever forget His people? c. Your walls are continually before Me: The walls refer to the walls of the city of Jerusalem, which figuratively speak of the health, the strength, the prosperity, and the security of God’s people. God is always mindful of the condition of His people, despite the objections of a doubting Zion.” enduringword.com |

![]() From Joseph Prince Ministries: As Jesus Is Today, So Are You! “Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.” 1 John 4:17 It is wonderful to know that God does not measure and judge you based on your performance today. Instead, He looks at Jesus, and as Jesus is, that is how He sees you. His Word declares that “love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.” As new covenant believers, we do not have to fear the day of judgment simply because all our sins have been completely judged at the cross, and as Jesus is, so are we! Notice that it does not say that “as Jesus was on earth, so are we in this world.” That would have been amazing enough because during Jesus’ ministry on earth, healing, blessings and abundance followed Him everywhere He went. Yet, that is not what the Word says. What it says is, “as Jesus is” (notice the use of the present tense). In other words, as He is right now, so are we in this world. What a powerful revelation! Just consider where Jesus is today. The Bible tells us: He [God] raised Him [Jesus] from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. —Ephesians 1:20–23 Jesus is seated at the Father’s right hand today, in a position of power and authority. If I were you, I would take some time to meditate on this passage because the Bible tells us that as Jesus is, so are we right now, in this world. Meditate on how as Jesus is “far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named,” so are we! See it in God’s Word for yourself. See yourself as Jesus is, far above every principality and power, far above every disease and physical condition, far above every kind of fear, depression and addiction, and begin to reign over every negative situation in your life today! |

![]() (Proverbs 1:7) The word “fear” in this verse (and in other places of the Old Testament where it talks about “fearing” the Lord) means “awe and wonder.” Here’s a short excerpt from a commentary on this verse: “ii. God should be regarded with respect, reverence, and awe. This proper attitude of the creature toward the Creator is the beginning of knowledge and wisdom. Wisdom cannot advance further until this starting point is established.” enduringword.com |

![]() “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.” (1 Peter 2:24) This verse is similar to Isaiah 53:5, which is among the healing verses listed below. If you’re a believer in need of healing, say these verses out loud, partake of the Holy Communion and declare yourself for what you are - the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus! Jesus not only came to earth to give us a path to Heaven but to give us abundant life and be an active healing and restorative Presence in our lives! Here are the healing verses I posted earlier: “Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.” (Jeremiah 17:14) “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.” (Romans 8:11) “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5) “…Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.” (Matthew 8:17) “O Lord my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.” (Psalm 30:2) “With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.” (Psalm 91:16) “Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.” (1 John 4:17) |

![]() (Romans 1:16) Good commentary on this verse: “i. The gospel is certainly news, but it is more than information; it has an inherent power. ‘The gospel is not advice to people, suggesting that they lift themselves. It is power. It lifts them up. Paul does not say that the gospel brings power, but that it is power, and God’s power at that.’ (Morris) ii. In particular, the city of Rome thought it knew all about power: ‘Power is the one thing that Rome boasted of the most. Greece might have its philosophy, but Rome had its power’ (Wiersbe). Despite all their power, the Romans – like all men – were powerless to make themselves righteous before God. The ancient philosopher Seneca called Rome ‘a cesspool of iniquity’ and the ancient writer Juvenal called it a ‘filthy sewer into which the dregs of the empire flood.’ iii. For salvation: In the Roman world of Paul’s day, men looked for salvation. Philosophers knew that man was sick and needed help. Epictetus called his lecture room ‘the hospital for the sick soul.’ Epicurus called his teaching ‘the medicine of salvation.’ Seneca said that because men were so conscious of ‘their weakness and their inefficiency in necessary things’ that all men were looking ‘towards salvation.’ Epictetus said that men were looking for a peace ‘not of Caesar’s proclamation, but of God’s.’ (Cited in Barclay) iv. The gospel’s power to salvation comes to everyone who believes. God will not withhold salvation from the one who believes; but believing is the only requirement.” enduringword.com |
