bobspringett 07-Jul-25, 02:07	Speaking of dinner... This afternoon the Dreaded Black Wombat put me to work helping prepare dinner. Standard late afternoon practice, where I act as kitchenhand. Today it was slicing mushrooms and preparing veggies for a Beef Wellington. Then the news came through. The woman accused of killing three in-law relatives and attempted murder of a fourth with a Beef Wellington loaded with Deathcap Mushrooms had been found guilty on all counts. I had a very close look at those mushrooms I had sliced.

jonheck 08-Jul-25, 01:45	bob Strong disciplined helps. Restrict her exposure to nasty ideas by not allowing her to watch tv and other news sources. There is no way to be completely protected so in the end you need to choose your poison. In this case you could choose to do without mushrooms or taking your chances.

'Not allowing' is not an option in that universe. If she says "Eat this!" then the only choice is to eat it quickly and then say "Delicious! Can I have more?"
