![]() I arrived at the emergency center at about 7:00 PM last Saturday (Dotty's daughter drove me there) and was assigned an emergency room bed within 5-minutes with an abundance of pretty nurses who were cooing and touching me almost everywhere --- Typical of the VA Martinsburg, WV Medical facility After leaving the emergency room, I was assigned to the BLUE Medical team which is a bank of four medical doctors w/extensive staff with who I had the pleasure of extensively arguing science matters with (also typical of the VA Martinsburg facility). They were, indeed, notably more knowledgeable of medicine than I was, but I learned a lot and was able to get a few punches in. I am now fully convinced that the VA Medical System ranks high --- if not first among the world's finest medical systems. And it was, of course: All free, as in fully paid for by my country; The United States of America. The VA Medical System is a 100% single pay approach to medical care --- The only one in USA other than the military (Hm-mm?). |
