Wondering outloud
I thought I'd share Thumper's latest dialogue in his N-Club.

Forum "I've been wondering why"
>>Why do the radical prog left hate Trump so much? Not the normal and healthy disdain or dislike but pure visceral hate. They hate him to their core. I believe they hate him because he fights like they do but not for them or their ideology. He insults and mocks them just like they have insulted and mocked average people, conservative thinkers, for decades. They love to dish it out but they can't take it in similar fashion. They can't abide being treated the same way they treat others.
They demand/rely on their targeted victims to fight at a disadvantage under the Marquess of Queensberry Rules (most conservatives do) as they themselves rely on gutter fighting. Trump gutter fights just like they do and they don't like it. He's not following their script and fighting right, as they say he must.
I personally don't like him ("him" = www.ebay.com ) but I'm very amused and entertained by how he lives in their psyche and how they go into apoplectic fits when he 'disrespects' them the way they disrespect others. HOW DARE YOU!!! they loudly complain, 'You can't talk to me like that, don't you know who I am'?

The simple answer is yes, yes we do know who you are. You've shown your colors for decades. Trump is like a Dentist who uses dye to show the plaque on your teeth. Plaque leads to decay<<

My take on Thumper's above dialogue.

Thumpy states that he doesn't like trump, but it's apparent that he likes democrats considerably less.

Yes, that is because some of the MAGA commandments is, do unto others as they have done unto you. The advanced version of this is. Do unto others as they would do unto you, but make sure you do it first. And MAGA pronouns are, Me, myself and I.

Trump is the symptom not the cause. You think the wound will heal if you get rid of the gangrene temporarily? Only partially true. The wounds of the 2008 housing crisis, the wounds of being bankrupted unless you have the right type of health insurance, the wounds of payday lenders, casino's and gambling. It's financial predation. But now with Trump it's financial predation on steroids. They WILL not budge until it effects them. They think that it won't, but it will and truth be told it already has but they refuse to acknowledge it. They said it was about prices and inflation, they said it was egg and gas prices, they said it was their 401 k or whatever other excuse they told themselves to support an amoral and amorality.

Now prices are higher, gas is up and down, wall street lost trillions, and illegals aren't being deported anywhere near the level that was promised. And not a peep. Not even a whimper. Because it was never about any of those things. It is about someone who looks like me, talks like me and says out loud what I haven't dared to say. They think he is a fighter who will fight dirty for America.

What they don't realize is , he has a coward's courage and he says what he does to feed his own fragile ego because he is a narcissist. And a braggart. He fights for himself. And to a man who already has more money than one person could spend in a lifetime. They always need more and more and more and they don't care who they take it from. Or who they hurt. For such people like Trump, the world is not enough.

Trump is going to lead them to places they never dreamed of and it's not going to be good.

The price we are going to pay for embracing wickedness is going to be a terrible one.

Loads of bollocks here. I dislike Trump for the same reason I dislike corrupt fascist dictators. I respect decent conservative thinkers, like George Will, William F. Buckley Jr., and Edmund Burke. Ann Coulter is a bit harder to stomach, but then you get guys like Rush Limbaugh, and worse.

None of them are fascist dictators or insult people. Folks around here proudly flew F*K BIDEN” flags or “LET’S GO BRANDON,” a euphemism. The level of disrespect has grown, and Trump fosters that like no other. “Birdbrain” Haley. Lying Ted. Tiny D DeSantimonious. Little Rubio. And these are his OWN people, referring to Cruz’s wife as an ugly bit*h.

Yes, I am deeply dismayed by criminals who incite insurrection against our own government, steal federal documents, obstruct justice, extort foreign governments to subvert US elections, pressure election officials to overturn ballot results, or who falsify business records to conceal fornicating with a proxy daughter porn star.

<Why do the radical prog left hate Trump so much? Not the normal and healthy disdain or dislike but pure visceral hate.>

It's obvious that I'm not included in the diatribe you quote. Because I am not a 'radical progressive left' member. I spent my entire political activity in a party that started as the moderate wing of our main conservative party, breaking away as the bulk of that party went ever further Right. We always maintained the traditional conservative values of a market economy and maximum civil rights/freedoms.

We insisted on Due Process and honesty in politics. It was our efforts that forced transparency in how the government and all political parties did business, forcing into our public life such things as transparency in electoral funding and Freedom of Information.

We always insisted that any changes to laws should be evidence-based, with clear objectives and safeguards; and that the Westminster Tradition of Ministerial Accountability be upheld rather than minimised; 'Sorry about that!' should be not an excuse but part of a resignation speech.

In American terms, I've always been an admirer of Eisenhower, whom Truman urged to run for President but he did so as a Republican. THAT does not show 'confusion' or 'weakness', but a mindset that cuts through ideology and upholds rationality and constitutionality.

So I am NOT a 'radical' progressive left' member!

Then why do I 'hate Trump'?

<Not the normal and healthy disdain or dislike but pure visceral hate.>

Not quite true in my case. For Trump himself it is more a matter of contempt and even pity at his pettiness. The visceral hate I feel is directed at the mindset for which he is both the spokesman and the symptom. The mindset that shows no concern over the morality of their actions, which disregards anything but its own benefit no matter the consequences to others. THAT is where my visceral hate is focused.

<He insults and mocks them just like they have insulted and mocked average people, conservative thinkers, for decades. They love to dish it out but they can't take it in similar fashion.>

I don't recall ANY significant Centrist such as I would support coming even close to the mocking and epithets Trump uses. And he uses them not only against opponents, but even against people who have supported him! For example, how many of the people that Trump himself has appointed has he later dismissed as incompetent or worse? Or even appointed since those insults? And he claims to be an excellent judge of people??

<They can't abide being treated the same way they treat others.>

You mean, deporting peaceful residents with green cards and NO charges against them because of their skin colour? Trump has dome that! Name someone who suffered that treatment under a 'radical progressive left' Biden administration.

<They demand/rely on their targeted victims to fight at a disadvantage under the Marquess of Queensberry Rules (most conservatives do)>

Yes, most conservatives do. But not Trumpists. Just as most conservatives demand that progressives fight by the same rules, and they do.

<as they themselves rely on gutter fighting. Trump gutter fights just like they do and they don't like it.>

Yes, Trump does indeed gutter fight. Nice to be able to agree! Give us a few examples of Biden or Obama 'gutter fighting'.

<But I'm very amused and entertained by how he (Trump) lives in their psyche and how they go into apoplectic fits when he 'disrespects' them>

Yes, isn't it amusing how someone who has the power and reach to round up innocent residents and deport them to high-security prisons in dictatorial countries can live in the psyche of his potential victims. A bit like how the Stalin could live in the psyche of the members of the Supreme Soviet and the Russian population in general, I suppose. Anyone who has huge power and no accountability can do that. A genuine conservative would find that intolerable, but Trumpists are not conservatives. They are as 'radical' as any Bolshevik ever was.

<HOW DARE YOU!!! they loudly complain, 'You can't talk to me like that, don't you know who I am'?>

That sounds more like DJT addressing the President of the Ukraine than Sleepy Joe to anyone at all.

Sorry, Thumper, but you have an inverted view of reality, in which your conclusions determine your evidence.
