I am a brown skin Asian American and it is true what Z said that there is some kind of racial discrimination against them, but this is a minor problem for me. When I first came to the US many years ago, I can bring only one suitcase of clothes and $ 50 in my pocket. My airplane ticket is paid by my cousin who is married to an American. He sponsored me to come to USA. I worked hard since I landed on USA. I could pay back the money for airplane ticket within a year. I was never on welfare. I did not have problem finding a job because US is short of doctors and are in great demand. I served as a physician both in civilian job and also as a US Army reservist at the same time. My American dream comes true and exceeds my expectations. My native country, Myanmar where I was born is in turmoil now. The military junta seized control of the country and it plunged into civil war. Therefore, I am proud to be an American. |
