A professional what is the question. From what we've seen you can't help but inject your aggressively strident personal politics into everything you say and do. You would have us believe you change your spots when in charge of innocent young children? I doubt it. I'm glad my kids went to private schools and my grandkids are being home schooled.

So even as a retired high tech professional, because I don't agree with you in public, you call me a dumb, stupid, moronic, insufferable ass and a d***. Wow!! Your real self is coming through. I doubt your ability to control your immature hateful emotions especially when you're in the 'cat bird seat'. We're forced to question what do you actually 'teach' to the children under your charge in private?

If the shoe fits. “because I don't agree with you in public…” No. it’s because you say such ignorant things. Say stupid shit, don’t be surprised to be called a stupid twit. I thought you were brighter than that, but with every post, you prove me wrong.

Your club suits you perfectly. Yes men, uneducated zealots and crazy people.

I’m glad your kids aren’t in public schools too. The shit doesn’t fall far from the horse’s ass.

Republican senators, including Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) and Susan Collins (R-Maine), both voiced skepticism regarding Gaetz's selection ahead of an anticipated confirmation hearing. Murkowski said it's not "a serious nomination," while Collins said she was "shocked" to learn about Trump's decision and indicated that "there will be a lot of questions raised at his hearing."

In addition to Gaetz being a staunch critic of the U.S. Justice Department, he could face questions about the prior allegations of sexual misconduct. Here is what to know about the allegations that could follow Gaetz into the DOJ.

Justice Department investigated Matt Gaetz for allegedly sex trafficking a 17-year-old girl

In March 2021, the New York Times first reported that the U.S. Justice Department was investigating Gaetz for allegedly trafficking and having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old girl.

Gaetz was accused of not only paying the underage girl for sex, which was allegedly around 2019, but investigators also believed he paid for her travel over state lines, according to the New York Times, which cited "three people briefed on the matter."

The three people told the outlet that the then-38-year-old was part of a bigger investigation into Joel Greenberg, a political ally and local Florida official. The Justice Department indicted Greenberg in the summer of 2020 on numerous charges, including sex trafficking of a child and financially supporting individuals in exchange for sexual favors.

Greenberg, a Republican who was the tax collector in Florida's Seminole County before his indictment, took a plea deal in May 2021 and admitted to federal prosecutors that he paid women and an underage girl to have sex with him and other unidentified men. He was sentenced to 11 years in prison in 2022.

Throughout the investigation, Gaetz adamantly denied any involvement. The Justice Department did not charge Gaetz, but he remained under investigation for child sexual abuse and illegal drug use by the U.S. House Ethics Committee up until his resignation on Wednesday.

According to a report from NOTUS released in September, sealed testimony from three witnesses in the sex scandal case involving Greenberg and others allegedly placed Gaetz at a "sex party" in 2017 that included illegal drugs and a nude underaged girl.

The federal court filings, which included the sealed testimony, place Gaetz at one of the long-rumored parties for the first time since the Justice Department's investigation concluded, the Washington-based media outlet reported

The filings referenced testimony from "A.B.," the 17-year-old girl who was the center of the case, and two other women who claimed Gaetz attended a Lake Mary, Florida-area "sex party" on July 15, 2017, according to NOTUS.

House Speaker Doesn’t Want Gaetz Ethics Report Released

Senators from both parties have sought to see the results of the yearslong inquiry into allegations of sexual misconduct and illicit drug use against Trump’s pick to be attorney general. Speaker Mike Johnson said releasing the report would breach protocol.

I know little of the allegation but it seems that she may have been 17 years 10 months ('legal' is 18) but presenting herself as a 19-20 year old. Child trafficking? Hyperbole much? How can you be believed or even accepted as honest? Smear campaign in full glory.

He was 38
She was 17. It appears to be part of a group that regularly had sex drug parties.

But make up all the excuses you like if it helps you to feel better about supporting trash. I wonder why they want the investigation buried.

Why do you support that?

What I actually said was that I know little about the prog allegations against Gaetz but don't let that get in your way of lecturing me what to believe as I form my own opinion. I'll leave it to you to claim that I 'just don't understand' what's going on. Am I (we) one of your middle school/grade school students to be scolded and lectured about how and what to think? Cling to that as you will.

The attorney who represents two of the women who were witnesses in the House Ethics Committee probe into former Rep. Matt Gaetz confirmed on Friday that one of his clients saw the congressman having sex with a minor.

“My client testified to the House Ethics Committee that she witnessed Matt Gaetz having sex with a minor,” attorney Joel Leppard said.
CNN has reached out to Gaetz for comment. President-elect Donald Trump this week picked Gaetz as his next attorney general.

Mike Johnson
That is a good joke name, as funny almost as Mike Hunt. (I knew one in sixth grade).

He said the report on Gaetz’s child sex trafficking should be buried, which tells me everything I need to know regarding the contents of the report. Do Republicans believe in character, or moral turpitude? LOL. As Z notes, “grab them by the pussy” is an essential condition for public office. Gaetz would be unqualified were it not for fornicating with underaged teens, as Groper did with Katie Johnson. Given Katie didn’t resemble Ivanka that closely, it is safe to assume Groper rode her raw doggy style like he did Stormy, before throwing cash at the little girl (the only unbelievable part of her story) “to get an abortion.” She fortunately didn’t take with his vitiated little swimmers.

Oh, but Gaetz’s statutory rape victim was two months shy of 18, making her fair game, I guess. Two months. Or on Jeffrey’s Island five years and two months—what’s the difference?

When I was 24 a girl in the next apartment knocked on my door. I always thought she was pretty cute, and on this day the early stages of her pregnancy apparently set her hormones into overdrive. She pushed me down onto my living room rug and began wrestling with me. I can’t say I wasn’t aroused. I was single at the time, and occupied by work. But I was pretty sure she was, as Groper’s celebrity endorser Ted Nugent would sing, “jail bait.” So I asked her how old she was, before going any further.

I have never had an illegal sexual liaison, which renders me utterly unfit for any Groper cabinet position. I think Groper really wants Gaetz because he already has the report, and can threaten to release it should Gaetz ever balk at doing anything illegal Groper demands. Gaetz has already insisted that if the FBI refuses to bend to his will it should be dissolved, along with the ATF and any other federal organization he cannot corrupt.

Clarification
The young lady left fully dressed and unsatisfied. She apparently realized I wasn’t going to engage in unlawful activity. Though if we had been one state over and she was definitely months older, I would have happily broken Idaho’s law against extramarital sex as easily as a thin, partially ruptured hymen.

Not every law makes sense.

LOL.
What is the difference between Washington and Idaho?

I explained she would have had to have been old enough to be legal. You missed that point. What would have made the act illegal in Idaho was strictly the extramarital aspect. Adultery and fornication are both illegal IN IDAHO, though these statutes are only selectively enforced. One sheriff felt he should arrest a woman for fornication only after she had applied for public assistance, which is only available to unwed mothers so—catch 22.

The judge dismissed the charges in that case given the sheriff had never arrested anyone fornicating absent his special requirement.

In Washington consenting adults are free to engage in fornication or adultery of their own volition, save that the act may be discouraged when performed in public.

Full disclosure, I did once entertain a young lady in a public park in Idaho, flouting infamous crimes against nature along with other activities sure to enflame Andrew to clutch his pearls and break out his smelling salts. It was around 2:00 in the morning, in an area of Ann Morrison park rarely frequented by passerby at that hour. So the darkness and foliage provided a measure of privacy risked only by her low moaning.

Come to think of it, that woman and a friend of hers participated in activities in their apartment living room while a third roommate ventured out to watch. When I became aware of her presence I froze, and the other girl mistook my sudden rigidity for premature climax. I quietly explained, “Valerie is watching us.” My girlfriend instructed her to go back to bed. I bring this up only because of the unintended public performance aspect. Pretty sure only the standard Idaho statutes were being violated in that circumstance, not any special ordinances regarding public acts.

Ah, venturing down memory lane. Sometimes it is good to reminisce.

Smear?
The FBI investigated and found credible evidence of malfeasance. The House ethics committee instigates their own investigation, finding much more. Because Speaker McCarthy refused to dissolve the committee Gaetz booted him. McCarthy explained he was removed because Gaetz had sex with a 17-year-old. Not our fault your news sources censor such things as easily and readily as you do.

You said “I know little of the allegation…”

Why? And if so, why would you give your opinion?

zorroloco
16-Nov-24, 12:48

Let me help
The far-right Florida Republican Matt Gaetz forced Kevin McCarthy out as House speaker last year “because he slept with a 17-year-old” and wanted a congressional ethics investigation to end, McCarthy charged on Tuesday.

“I’ll give you the truth why I’m not speaker,” McCarthy said, at an event at Georgetown University in Washington.

“Because one person, a member of Congress, wanted me to stop an ethics complaint because he slept with a 17-year-old, an ethics complaint that started before I ever became speaker. And that’s illegal and I’m not gonna get in the middle of it.

“Now, did he do it or not? I don’t know. But ethics was looking at it. There’s other people in jail because of it. And he wanted me to influence it.”

The House ethics investigation of allegations against Gaetz opened in 2021, when Nancy Pelosi, a Democrat, was speaker.

The House investigation was paused when Gaetz was investigated by the US Department of Justice for sex trafficking, over allegations that he paid for sex and had sex with an underage woman. In December 2022, Joel Greenberg, a former Florida tax collector whose arrest led to the investigation of Gaetz, was sentenced to 11 years in prison for offences including sex trafficking a minor.
