I deleted the entire thread in a quick way to acknowledge the complaint.
It can probably be restored now.

I am worried that two of the three mods (lord_shiva and zorroloco) are now liberal and only one (thumper) is conservative! I don't doubt that thumper will hold the fort, but I am afraid this club is sliding toward liberalism (which is equal to socialism and communism). Why not compensate the zorro appointment with appointing nothing as moderator? I mean, how can it hurt to have another moderator who is nothing?

I’m not biased. I accept bigots and jerks for what they are. I call it the 5% rule (although it may be 10% these days). Most people are good folks. But then there’s that 5%. I give them what they earn. I’m no saint and never claimed to be Ghandian or Christian I’m a great friend and a terrible enemy. My students loved me, my colleagues respect me. Administration values and fears me. 😎

My favorite part about 4chan is that every single post has to be judged on its merit. There is no history. You can't just see a name and think what you always think. You have to read everything as if it was the first time.
I wish we could all start over but that isn't possible here. So we squabble on.
