Why is TX governor sending undocumented migrants to DC?
youtu.be
This is not a gimmick when TX governor Abbott threatened to send undocumented migrants to nation's capital Washington DC. As far as I know, 4 busloads of migrants landed in DC. There are a lot of questions that law abiding, and tax paying Americans would like to ask. They want to know the answers.

Is it legal to send those migrants without checking and sending all over the US? Practically, it is like and open southern border, but Democrats and its supporters will deny vehemently. On next month in May, Democrats would like to abolish Title 42 which was created by former president Trump and the migrants crossing the border will increase to 18,000 per day. Title 42 is to keep the migrants in Mexico before they can be thoroughly checked of their health status, criminal history and especially covid-19 status.

American taxpayers will bear the burden of illegal immigration.
Those states which are bordering with Mexico are overwhelmed with migrants from anywhere in the world. America cannot be a welfare nation of the world. We have our own domestic problems with $ 30 trillion in debt and half a million homeless people. Homelessness will be much greater now due to CV pandemic shutdown and lockdown of homes and factories.

A big state like Texas is bearing the brunt of the burden and he can no longer afford to keep the migrants in his state. Therefore, he has to send the migrants as soon as they arrive in Texas. The busing is voluntary for migrants and is paid for by Texas. Since no legal actions are taken against the governor, it appears that his actions are legal. BTW, Democrats are doing the same secretly. The only difference between the two is that Governor Abbott is doing transparently, whereas Democrats are doing without transparency.

I have been trying actively to get objective information about US illegal immigration, but what I find has been most unfortunate: the issue has been totally politicised to the extent that any factual parts of it are hidden. This makes the whole issue extremely difficult to handle/discuss, not least by a foreigner.

I agree with Stal
Finding the truth is impossible. I find this in most topics which I try to discover if the propaganda from all sides and the news media reports are too hard for me to know what the truth is.
Thanks for your insight as a foreigner.

I live in a border State about 40 miles from the Canadian border and actually know legals and illegals as well as officers from the Border Patrol. Softie lives about 20 miles from the Mexican border. We see the effects personally but whenever we say something/anything about what we know firsthand that the left doesn't like, most of whom live nowhere near the border or even live in this country, are quick to scold, mock, and call us idiots incapable of understanding the nuances of the issue. They want to 'set us straight' according to their ideology.

< quick to scold, mock, and call us idiots>

When it comes to the discussion I tried to uphold with softaire on this issue, there was no such thing, but he failed to give me precisely those details about immigration that you say you guys have (living close) and that I wanted to learn in order to form an opinion that would not depend on the myriad of false or twisted information on the web! So, please don't always hide behind those accusations of scolding, mocking etc.

Yes, by all means dismiss my entire post out of hand while trying to pick apart one portion of one sentence to try and bicker about.

Sorry, and apologies! It wasn't meant as anything else than an expression oof frustration when I am not given the information I ask for in order to give some reasonabe input to the discussion. All I get is anger and even hostility plus some implicit assumption that I 'work' on the side of 'the left'. I had thought it relatively easy to exclyde me from such suspicion as I am not American, situated far from USA, and as I won't 'win' anything by supporting either side on the US political battlefield.

It's a Gimmick
Abbott thought he could score political points making hay out of immigration. He effectively shut down the border, costing the US economy over $4 billion, searching vehicles previously searched by the federal inspectors. What did Abbot's Naional Guard find? Nothing. No drugs. No smuggled illegal immigrants. Just a big stunt that needlessly rotted avocados and other fruit and wasted $4 billion.

Whee!

But he fired up the anger of the "Let's Go, Brandon!" base. Anything to work up culture war hatred of the liberals.

So sending the immigrants to DC backfired as much as DeSantis transferring billions of Disney's debt to Florida counties over their opposition to his own anti gay legislation.

Sometimes it is kind of fun to watch these cretins shoot themselves in the foot, even if we're the ones shouldering the pain.

Funny But
Kilmar Armando Ábrego García is being charged with the exact same crime Governors Gregg Abbott and Tiny D DeSanctimonious are guilty of—transporting. Documented workers to northeastern states.
